All of the major World title belts were nice back in the late 1980's. This version of the AWA World title belt rivaled the WWF winged eagle and the NWA/WCW big gold belts in their majestic craftsmanship.
Even though AWA was going down at the bottom of the barrel during those periods. I always prefer that world title over the Winged Engle and Big Gold because it had a very unique design and looked like a little ahead of its time compared to other belts. If Billy Corgan's NWA is making a successful comeback with the indie promotion as a substitute for bringing the Territories system back. I hope one day, either Corgan or somebody could revive the AWA and bring that beautiful championship back in the mainland of professional wrestling. I mean, AWA carried just as much heritage and prestigious in history as the NWA. If somebody could revive the NWA, AWA is another brand that needs to make a comeback also.
So for someone who might be interested in getting a belt from one of the old territories, what companies would you look at first? I'm probably trying to find something nice yet economical as opposed to anything crazy expensive or super cheap. Thanks for any help.
Looks good.
Yes It is!
That is one nice belt.
Yep, the shine on it is "SWEET"

Always loved the AWA World Title Belt
We can see why. It's nice looking
LOVE this belt. Always been in my top 3 of 80's belts. Hogan '86, AWA World, Winged Eagle belt. Blows the Big Gold Belt out of the water imo.
You have great taste in belts
@@BellsAndBelts thanks. you too.

@@BellsAndBelts just a quick question if you see this. has a champion wearing a belt ever looked more natural than Hogan wearing the '86 belt?
