Michael, I read on a forum somewhere it said you have to buy the hood unit which you can unhinge from the side. For price I'm not sure you would need to contact the manufacturer.

Shit tank too many light issues I plugged mine in and it does nothing so I read it up to find out alot of people have problems with their lights

You can replace the light bro, i've setup a fluval 3.0 on it.
