Not sure if there really is one but anywhere in the middle between kickoff and penalty area is probably ideal.
Are the players still active like do you get in a Match quickly?
While recording these last few matches I did get matched with some newer players as well so people are still getting into the game. However Matchmaking can take like 5-10 minutes, depending on the time of the day etc.
