Since I started gasland I keep an eye open for textured trash plastic, but I never thought about the flow test, it looks really good. Thanks for the tips!
I can't throw anything away now without examining it for suitable textures!

That is the pro-tip of the day
"Trashbash"
The first time I ever heard that word. Mad respect for reusing trash for parts. These look awesome.
Thanks! The main motivation is that the parts are free!
Great stuff, thanks for the inspiration and information! 😆🤘
Hey, you are welcome.
I like how you can still see the QR code on the top bit.
Unintentional.
And to be honest unanticipated 😳
@@WastelandsRaceway Sometimes the best things are. In the Wasteland, you use whatever you have!
Awesome work it turned out amazing. I love using Free stuff for my build as well.
'Free' is a 4 letter F-word that no-one objects to!
Doing your bit for recycling! I think it's fantastic. You start looking at eveything through the lens of a scrounger.
One man's rubbish is another mans treasure lol ❤️
Everyone probably thinks I'm a crackhead picking up little bits out of the gutter lol. Sometimes one piece can inspire an entire build.
I use breadbag clips for small pieces of steel plate. Just cut, spray, and paint.
Bread bag clips... Wow, its a while since I have seen one of them!
Really cool. Inspiration for the weird vans I’ve acquired for Hot Wheels wheel swaps.
Having just started on Gaslands, these videos are a lot more helpful than you'll ever know.
I have a decent 28mm eye, but this 1/64 scale requires an entirely new perspective. Thanks for the tips.
True, the 1/64(ish) scale is definitely a different baby! More forgiving in many ways .... certainly cheaper!
Welcome to the wonderful addiction that is Gaslands!
Hey my man I didn't catch the premiere but I'm here now I love this video a lot of people think that you need to buy expensive staff to convert cars and this video is a prove that you can build cars out of trash 7/5 ;)
This is true. Expensive fluff can be fun too though!
This is the first conversion vid I've watched which has rederenced bullet holes. I was beginning to think it was just me who wanted to drill holes in toy cars. I felt that van was crying out for a 'waist' or 'dorsal' weapon, but with all that armour, who'd want to crew it? Fantastic use of your rubbish. Im inspired!
That's the plan for the channel . Use crap to build masterpieces
@@WastelandsRaceway I've bought 10 or so matchbox and hot wheels (so far) this weekend, machine guns and flamers have arrived via etsy, so it's taking shape. The Fiesta with mini gun on the roof is a surprising favourite so far.
I’m never throwing anything away again!
That's the idea! Keep it all in a box just incase lol
Thanks for the tip with the tablet blisters, I'm desperately looking for more ultra-fine materials such as this for armor plating. For mesh (windows), I like to go to the $1 stores or flea-markets and buy sieves or strainers or splash guards (like the ones you put on a frying pan to avoid the grease spraying everywhere) and cut the meshing out with metal shears.... looks amazing but you seriously have to do it carefully, if little threads end up in the carpet, you're wife will likely kill you when she gets it into the skin of her toes.
Similar to the tuille, the corrugated cardboard would be too flimsy for my taste but I think I might try making a milliput print of it and see how it works.
Great video!
To be honest the card is brilliant . A little super glue and you'd be hard pushed to notice it was card.
@@WastelandsRaceway Yeah but if somebody grabs the item a little too clumsily, won't it immediately fold and become distorted?
@Colonel Burton very much depends where you use it. So long as it's stuck securely to a solid part of the model you should be ok.
hahaha corona tests are yes to what to use xDDDcolles video!
Nothing goes in the trash now unless I have inspected it first!
@@WastelandsRaceway haha okay! I imagine this very funny: your wife cooking, she wants to throw away the food packaging, but you forbid it until you have searched her for possible useful possibilities xDDD have you ever had one or two wooden spoons on your ears? xDD
Very resourceful. I had some ideas for the little bubbles in the med blister packs, but didn't think to use the textured parts.
I see textures everywhere! 👀
Nice bro
😁
Ggood stuff, can't wait for more.
Always open to requests .... is there anything you would particularly like to see?
@@WastelandsRaceway Challenge Mode with Mad Eye, walk through a rpg play through that show cases all your builds and every 4th game a war-rig "resupply" game that causes dents and bonuses.
@@allenforbes8108 Certainly Mad Eye and us have been kicking around a challenge idea. That will be happening!
Awesome video with some great tips for making armor from recycled household goods. Are you going to continue this and make the entire car from reused household goods? because that would be really interesting to see.
That would be a challenge but you know what? Challenge accepted!
@@WastelandsRaceway looking forward to seeing the finished result.
What sort of packing tape has that texture to it? I’m state-side, so that might be my issue
Hey. It shouldn't be an issue . It's the plastic straps that come on boxes ( paper or large appliances like fridges or freezers to hold the boxes together or even pallets ) if you Google pallet strapping you should be able to see what it is 😁
@@WastelandsRaceway Oh, duh! I should have realized it was strapping! I worked in a corrugated factory for over ten years… major facepalm moment
@@____________838 Doh!
What glue do u use?
Just any old superglue I can get my hands on! For this project it was cheap old stuff from the Pound Shop.
