    The people that have less, gives the most. I have been trying to figure this out, but I think I understand now why. They have less In the eyes of other people, but they know they have more than enough, so why not share, right?
    This country has shown people from all over the world that you don’t have to be rich to be truly happy. Looking at life on a different perspective.
    Always count your blessings, not your sorrows. You are blessed folks. You are blessed.
    Yeew! 🤙🏼

      Me being a food delivery driver understand this the most, it’s always the regular or small looking houses tipping the most, big houses and even mansions will tip me peanuts and demands for their food to be delivered right away. People with less understand the struggle.

    In the Philippines, community bonds are very strong. It's common practice to ask neighbors for a place to stay for a night, and the next day, seek hospitality from another household. This sense of community extends to sharing meals and providing shelter whenever needed. We are known for our hospitality and close-knit relationships.

      Normally in Bohol Catholic or not they will celebrate it as a form of Thanksgiving. Other christian religion has their own celebration it could be a year end party as a form of Thanksgiving but in Bohol it should be in May. Since most of the OFW come Home in May or any month their patron saint fiesta is. Its technically thanksgiving Filipino version instead of turkey we got Lechon

    • @Teddy_madi
      @Teddy_madi 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In addition @marieloumontenegro3103 fiesta is a thanksgiving to the Lord of the blessing receive from Him. Thanking God through each Church Saint patron. If it’s non- Catholic it’s up to how they thank the Lord and how they output it. Most of the time non Catholics are also invited and visit or not visit the family who are able to share their blessing. Also not all Catholics could do share foods during fiesta. 🥰👍thanks for sharing your awesome experience …

    In the Phils each town has a patron saint. Fiesta celebrates either their birthday or veneration day. It usually last at least a weekend (Fri-Sat) though some can go through a week.
    Homes would stop passerbys to to share their dishes & drinks so much that its hard to pass through an alley w/o getting filled once u reach the end.

      @@millenniallegends Sometimes the local tourism office would hide the Catholicity of the event. Like they will change the name of the fiesta to something secular (Sinulog, Tinagba, Wata-Wata, etc..), but the ultimate highlight is still the grand procession of the image of the saint with all the local authorities involved.

      2. Nearly EVERY SINGLE vlogger delays what they post. Especially travel vloggers. It is a security factor and we never want unsafe people to know where we are the day of.
      3. Over the course of your month my vlogs will catch up with time but still ALWAYS remain about 10 days behind minimum for safety reasons.

    Filipinos don't think that having dark skin is bad, they just want to be pretty like what they see on tv or movies...

    • @millenniallegends
      @millenniallegends  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They literally told me that's what they think. I don't speak for them they do it themselves. I have had over 50 people tell me directly that lighter skin is better which is why they bleach.. Culturally, they ARE and have always told me that having darker skin means you work outside and have less or are "lesser".
      This is a truthful common concern and feeling in most Asian Culture not just here.
      I'm not here to argue semantics, I'm just sharing exactly what I saw and have been told.
      Bleaching your skin is unhealthy no matter what.
      Embrace the beauty.
      Love the dark colors.

      yup..
      BUT....
      Imagine if the Catholics never came and destroyed all the cultural heritage that was here before?
      Imagine if the people of these Islands still celebrated thier own cultures.. thier own dieties..
      Nothing in a catholic nation is pure or authentic techincally.
      it is all that was institutionalized to wipe out what was there before..
      My family comes from native tribes in both Hawaii and Florida and we strive to preserve what was there before the spanish stole all of our history..
      Humble thoughts
      I am still trying to find Filipino pure natives that worship the Gods of thier ancestors..
      I would LOVE to do an episode on this topic and deep dive into the reality of what is actually REAL FILIPINO CULTURE...
