Watching John reminds me of watching his videos During Lockdown, they really got me into Gardening. As bad as that time was been able to be in garden so much was great for me
Happy to have you back. Thanks for appreciating my country (USA), there are many amazing landscapes and gardens in the US. I’m smack dab in the middle (Nebraska).
Hi John Love your garden. You are right about aster frikartii monch. Very had to find and it doesnt seem to produce extra roots to divide. Still...we hope and pray the garden centres get a glut in. Have a great weekend☕🍩💕
Black eyed Susans are the best! I am on my second years with asters, I have the Michaelmas and some white unnamed ones and the Monk lavender ones as well that are very leggy. They are very welcome this late in the year in my New Jersey garden.
Hello John welcome back - you made me a promise last year - you promised that you would come back this year and show us a rose that you sowed ( butchered) In a the gravel beside the shed -some people were doubtful that it would grow ….
Hello there John yes it's fall, that time of year again, slow season, beautiful colours, Halloween 🦇 is almost upon us, must get making a barnine brack. X
I always look forward to your videos! Glad you enjoyed your trip out here... I live I southwest Oregon and I LOVE being able to visit the redwoods! FYI winter begins 21 December...so it is still only mid autumn.
Glad you're bck John; (wonder whether you brought a giant redwood); - here, by the way, we're still in Autumn for another month.. Winter comes all too soon!
If Pampas grass requires 2 growing seasons to bloom properly, is this not at all suitable for zone 5 I NY, USA where winters are very cold? This is used as an annual here. Probably why it never looked perfect for me
So happy that your trip here was good for you. It would have been a treat to see you do TH-cam videos of the gardens that you visited. In the Bible, Matthew 13, Jesus taught the parable of the wheat and the tares. I heard somewhere that it was a species of vetch, either annual or perennial. I have rid the garden of the annual type. The perennial reminds me of mugwort in its habit.
Thankyou John Lord you are awesome
02:16 The hollies were ahead of our time😂 Cheeky John!
Glad you like your visit here!
“holly’s were ahead of their time 😏”

Love your weeding style. Flick the weeds into the back of the garden as you walk around in the garden. I do this all the time.

YOU CAME TO AMERICA?? I’m just a tad bitter we didn’t know so we could plan a celebrity gardener national tour, but time heals all wounds 😂
Should I be cautions of aconitum? Looks beautiful, sounds wicked when you look it up!
Hi John do you sell Pampas grass the second one in the video think its the medium size also can it be delivered ?
November winter my arse 🍀🤣
Do you always plant your Aconitum in full sun? Mine, in light shade are not blooming yet.
What about Toetoe??????????

They are winter hardy in zones 7-11, marginally hardy in zone 6. Not a perennial in zone 5...wish it were, I am zone 5 also.
