    Thank you for being honest and showing the realistic side. This way we can properly estimate the time we will need to prepare for gmat and taking into account the probability that it's not always the way we want it to turn out. Loved the video❤

    Heyy Arif! Great video. I wanted to know in which round did you start applying to universities? as most of their first rounds start in Oct-Nov. Also my gmat is day after tomorrow and I wanted to know about the step in which we have to select 5 schools to send our scores, is that step compulsory? And if the scores are directly sent by gmac, then how do we get confirmation and what do we upload for gmat score proof while filling that university's application form?

I know it’s a vague question considering you don’t know a penny about me, I started my prep like a month back under Manya and my modules end on September 23. I plan to appear my test in first week of October . I prep like 2 hrs daily and 6-7 hrs on weekend combined.

    What's your view on the various mock tests?
    Were your mock scores indicative of your actual GMAT score?

    • @iArifAhmad
      @iArifAhmad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mock tests are definitely a good way to track your progress but they might not be a true indication of your potential. It also largely depends on the test series you’re giving. For me Manhattan test series was the closest to my actual exam whereas in both the official mba.com mocks I scored less than my actual exam

    • @geetanjaliism
      @geetanjaliism 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iArifAhmad ohh, that's strange that you scored less in your MBA. Com Mocks than in the actual one. Did you find the MBA.com more difficult than the real thing? How'd you rate the difficulty of Manhattan, MBA. Com, Kaplan against the actual exam? Thanks in advance!

    • @iArifAhmad
      @iArifAhmad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes it’s also about the situation you are in. For me, no matter how much I tried I knew it wasn’t the main exam so maybe I didn’t perform at my best. Manhattans mock was a little difficult for the quant part but for the verbal part I will say that it was almost the same as the actual exam or maybe even a little less difficult. Kaplan and Veritas was about the same overall.

  • @filippoiguera3224

    Do you recommend Manhattan Quant books and E-GMAT course or do you think they are slightly superfluous?
    BTW congratulations!

    • @iArifAhmad
      @iArifAhmad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much :)
      Yes, Filippo, I will surely recommend both Manhattan Quant and eGMAT videos and don't think that it is superfluous.
      Although Manhattan Quant tends to be a little harder than the actual GMAT, it definitely helps you score high on the quant section (49+).
      eGMAT videos, on the other hand, are so engaging and fun to watch that they hook you, and your attention span increases.
      I hope this helps you with your question :)

      @filippoiguera3224 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iArifAhmad Thank you for your reply, but actually, I was asking you about Manhattan Quant books and not mock test (maybe I explained myself poorly). Do they contain cool strategies?

    • @iArifAhmad
      @iArifAhmad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I would even recommend the quant books. The strategies as such aren't so extra-ordinary but the various problem sets in the books give you a good practice. There are other materials available on the GMAT Club forum as well that I will recommend such as Quant 700-800 level questions thread. You can search simply by the term 'quant' in the GMAT Club forum :)

    • @iArifAhmad
      @iArifAhmad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Yashika
      It varies for every individual.
      For some, it can take 6 months, for some it takes 2 months. Try to give some free mocks without any preparation and analyse where you stand and how much preparation you actually need.
      Regarding the situation of being in college, all I can say is that a person DEFINITELY has much more time than he/she would get after they start working. So my recommendation would be to get done with GMAT while still in college. Score are valid for about 4-5 years so it's a good idea to give the GMAT somewhere around your 3rd year

      @iArifAhmad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was a working professional when I gave the GMAT. I used to study from 11pm to 2am every night and wake up the next day for my office.
      You just need to be disciplined.
      Don’t set a 3 week or a 3 month timeline initially.
      First develop a habit of studying for at least 2-3 hrs everyday.
      Then set yourself up a plan!
