I'm so thankful for studio ghibli. It changed my view of story making and showed me there is not need for so dramatic, action or romantic to make me cry. Different to American productions they put fantasy and reality together as if the fantasy were reality. Like... I can't describe. Even though they don't let protagonists go through hell I can feel with them.
