I bought a 2x6 cage from Kavee too and i made it into a 3x4 with the coroplast sideways together and it honestly fits perfect because its not too long.
I do think the table is 6 feet, because the grids used for c&c cages are usually around 14 inches instead of 12 :) unless the table is indeed 5 feet, then my bad lol. I love your videos! Always taking inspiration for my own piggies and the likes

I love C&C cages so you can keep creating new or bigger enclosures, this is a great example! I recently moved my herd of 9 into a 8 grid by 6 grid C&C cages with loft space on three sides. 🤩

That is so funny I have the exact same set up! I got a 6ft table at Walmart and have my pair of boys on top and my (for now) singleton fella on the bottom. Tip! Watch your head when cleaning out the bottom 😂 I’ve gotten mine good a few times
I love there new encloser! I just set up my 2 male guinea pigs new encloser last night as well and its no nice! i got ! 2×4 and i got a loft as well witch is a 2×2. KEVIN IS SO CUTE!!! 🐹

That cage is so cool, stunning, amazing, I might need to get a cage like that, I have the Midwest and I have the cage on the floor, and they have doors so my pigs can jump out when I put the door down but I can’t do that with that cage I don’t think so 🤔🤧 (I am right there with them and I piggie proofed my room don’t worry!)
With the small cage you should take the metal bit fences off and take the two small fences that were on the side and put them together and then the other fences should be all the same size. Use the roof as the cage too! I just took the metal cage apart with bending the hook straight with scissors. Then I connected all the fences ( also the two small ones put together) and you should get a 3x3 foot and I just added c&c cages now my cage is 2.69 foot by 7 foot!
Alyssa! You should get your guinea pigs a small plush toy. I just got another pair of guinea pigs (I have 6) and they came with a small teddy bear and they LOVE it! It is adorable. I looked it up and it’s actually pretty common. I thought that would be fun for a video. Plus, little plush toys are so cute on their own. Love your videos!
One thing you can do for the top level for it to be more pleasing for the guinea pig. Just put a cloth, shirt or something to cover the top on that second level. It will give a feel of a hidey be less exposed and therefore make it much more likely for the guinea pig to chill and hang out on that second level.
Hello Alyssa! I just have a very quick question: how do you keep the cage on the table? My cage is the same size and I have the same size table, but the cage just keeps sliding off and breaking. Luckily I don't have my piggies yet. I'm getting them around Christmas time! Just wanted to get a tip!
I don’t have any guinea pigs or a guinea pig cage so take what I say with a grain of salt. Maybe try taping the cage to the table? As long as the guinea pigs can’t chew on the duct tape I can’t think of how that could backfire. Oh also I see a lot of videos with guinea pig cages use zip ties to make cages more sturdy so that might keep it from falling apart.

I have a 6x2 Kavee with the larger version of that exact table! As such, I would recommend adding more zip-ties to try and stabilize the structure, as that table measures correctly for the dimensions of the enclosure, but as the corroplast settles it has a tendency to push out the feet of the grids on the wider side, so I was worried it could potentially push off the table. It gave me anxiety when I noticed it, at least!
Put the cage in a difreant room where the dog cant get in. Put the cage on a table or make a stand out of grids. And put a lid on your cage. Just some tips
Hey, I just wanted to make you aware that a guinea pig Instagram cage had a problem with the Kavee cage double level, I’m not sure if it’s the same for the one with the loft. She used billions of zipties but the cage collapsed due to faulty grids. Just please make sure that they aren’t bent in absolute any way because they were bent the tiiiiiiniest bit and my friend didn’t notice because of how small the bend was. She used the grids (I think only three were bent when she got the cage) with the corner pieces if you know what I’m talking about, and billions of zipties. Then she had a problem with Kavee helping her after the fact. I would just hate for Kevin or any of your boys to get hurt because it collapsed. I hope you looked really hard at the grids! I thought this comment would’ve been helpful but I guess this video was filmed a while ago. Hoping the cage is holding up! I love your videos!! 💖💖
It’s very sturdy and I have a lot of zip ties on the second floor so I’m not concerned about it. The grids don’t feel any different than the grids I got from Amazon
Also I wanted to say, I’m 99% sure you already know this as I know you worked with an exotics vet for years but if you get him a female friend I’d definitely recommend getting her spayed even though he’s already neutered. I adopted my pigs when they were 1 from a friend who couldn’t take them with her when she was moving, and she said they were neutered so they were fine to be together (I have a male and a female) and I assumed it was both of them, but she just meant my male pig was neutered, which was my mistake in not asking if they both were! My pigs are 4 now and my female pig Kovu currently has ovarian cysts but obviously now she’s older it’s riskier to operate, so I 100% recommend getting Kevin’s new girlfriend neutered while she’s young! Again I’m sure you know this but doesn’t hurt to comment it incase anyone else is in that situation too!! 💞❤️ I’m thankful I found a guinea pig specialist vet locally who is helping me with her, and thankfully while the cysts are large they’re not the kind that are causing her any troubles yet, so it’s not worth the risk of operating currently, and my vet is monitoring her closely to check how they progress 💞 but seeing as they’re my first piggies I didn’t know they could get things like this with not being spayed either, but I’ve really educated myself on it recently and hopefully all will be fine with them ❤️🥰

kavee Cages grids are indeed a couple inches longer than normal C&C grids so the 2x5 Kavee cage is almost the same room as a 2x6 C&C

In total, your 6 grids will come to approx 6ft 10inches. 5 grids would be approx 5ft 9inches.
Even though it's a 5X2 if they are 14" grids it would still be a 6foot table meaning the cage would be 6feet long.

Everything is safely zip tied and I even have the enclosure ziptied to the table 👍🏻
