- Civ 6 Mod Not Compatible is a quick tutorial video to show you how to resolve the problem of a Civ 6 Mod Not Working because of glitches or new patches being released that cause issues. We're also going to show how to turn certain features on your mods on and off if you like certain things a mod does but don't care for others!
In this Civ 6 Modding Tutorial I'm also going to show you how to fix the bug with the Civ 6 Concise UI mod where your spies won't work because you can't send them on missions or move cities.

For the espionnage part I recommend "better espionage screen" over the concise UI's feature. It does the same tricks but it's more elegant. It was bugged before but now it works again
Oh okay, good to know Hayssam. I used to use that but stopped when it got glitched when New Frontier released. I'll hook it back up again now!

I agree. That's probably the one drawback to all this new content is the new patches are smashing the modding community pretty hard!
Thanks man this insight will help a lot a groupd of friends of mine want to play Civ 6 but one of our mods just straight broke the trading with other civs so this should help me find what could be the problem.

I just haven't been on this channel in like three years until I officially started it back up and running again the other day. I'm glad that you found the video helpful, and hopefully your problem got solved. If you are still into rested in civilization 6 there will be new content out on the regular going forward.
What if the MOD IS NOT SET UP IN THE OBVIOUS WAY; (LIKE , The ELDER SCROLLS CIVILIZATION VI PACK OR The Witcher: Lyria & Rivia) and you only want the Fantasy CIVILIZATIONS and units and NOT the incompatible buildings etc... Could you do a brief demonstration with these mods?
I'm honestly, not that tax savvy, so you'd have to ask somebody else to help out with that. When it comes to this kind of stuff, I can really only help out with things I've tried personally.
Caution: This method will only work with concise ui mod specifically. This will cause errors and your game will not start if done with other mods.

Instead of re-finding the id number, just rename the folder as you save it

IDK what happened. I played a game and my mods were working fine and then I played a second game with more mods and it didn't work so I took all the new mods off and it still didn't work. I even unsubbed from most of them but the game just seems a LOT less compatible with mods ever since. I constantly get an error message. This has been going on for days and its pissing me off.
Sorry to hear that II wish things were better sometimes. Mods can just mess things up. You might want to start off with a fresh installation that could possibly help, but other than that I have no idea. I'm sorry. I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world to be completely honest. And also sorry about the late reply. I'm usually on top of my comments section, but I haven't been on this channel for like three years until just the other day where I started to back up officially now. So going forward, I won't leave you hanging like that for so long.
Hey, this is definitely late to the party but I'm having problems. I downloaded mods and keep getting the error to load mods into game. I have tried everything. Disabling, unsubscribing, clean reinstall, verifying game cache files, and nothing can fix it. I can't create a game with or without mods. The only thing working is multiplayer. Any advice?

Hi can someone pls reply to me I’m have a issue here basically I downloaded the Earth 2018 mod on civ 6 and when I enable it from the additional content page I go to create game and I don’t see the mod there or it’s not even working and I’m on Mac by the way
I'm on PC so it might be different, but I'd suggest you goto the Steam Workshop page for the mod and look in the forums there for the specific mod.
It might be a known issue with no solution as of right now, or maybe there is some sort of unique fix that pertains to that mod.
Other than that you could also try going into the mod folder like I show in this video and disable one feature at a time while checking back into the game to see if disabling that feature allowed it to work properly before moving onto the next one and repeating the process.

@Gamer Grampz What if you have never used or downloaded a mod before, but still got the Mod not compatible error? There has been no updates, so that isn't it either. I tried to follow your pathfinding, but I got to "Steamapps" but I didn't have a "Workshop" option. Any help so I can keep playing this game by cloud with my friend, where we are about to win (less than 20 turns) after spending months playing by cloud, let me know. I can not recommend Civ 6 to my friends, as it is too buggy in multiplayer.
Honestly, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure it's been a really long time since I've even been on civilization 6 much and I'm not that tech savvy to begin with. So if it's not something I know off the top of my head, I'm not really the one to ask.

I think your only option is to wait for the mod's creator to update it. You can try looking in Steam Workshop page, or via Twitter etc

Very clear illustration (Y). I found a new simple mod called "Real Governor Inspector", it adds a new report showing the potential effect of assigning any of the governors to your cities.
One application is getting the most science/culture out of Pingala or the most gold out of Reyna. The mod does all the possible calculations for you nd displays them in a nice summarized report so you can easily decide which city is currently the best destination for your governor.
Damn, that sounds really interesting! And it works with the latest patch from earlier this week?
@@GamerGrampz yup. Was using it today : ). I also really like "better unit flags" not only does it show remaining charges, unique promotions and abilities, it also indicates which units are within reach of a great general nd it's updated in real time (like when the general moves or a unit does).. Gr8 QOL improvement in my opinion
With "better unit flags" you'll have an easier time managing your apostle army in a religious game. You no longer have to select each apostle individually nd read his promotion(s), a relevant icon will show on his unit flag

@@HS-wn7km Yeah, I see the merit in the mod I just don't think I really care all that much for me personally anyway.
I just really try to limit the number of mods I use for the most part.
How about the mods that works at the start but will not work in the next saved game? I subscribed to this mod called "Red Alert 2 Intelligence officer voice" and it is a great mod. At first the mod works fine. But when I try to save a game with that mod, the mod will not be save in that save game. Meaning it will disappear if I exist the game and load the save game. How did I know this? Well, there is a lists of mods will be show on the save menu and that mod is not showing up on that menu. Only in pause menu when it's your first game. I heard many people experience this problem as well and don't know the solution.
Did you find any solution yet? Same problem

Does concise UI now make the espionage mod that you featured irrelevant now?
It would if it worked properly, but right now it's glitched and the creator of Concise UI is no longer updating the mod.
On the Workshop page of the Mod they are asking for somebody to take over keeping the mod updated so we'll see if that happens or not.
In the meantime though John, you have to disable to espionage feature in your mods folder.
The fix I show in this video works, but there still is a visual glitch when you send them on missions. It does work and is playable, but it irritates me enough that I shut it off for now which sucks because I like that feature.
And as for the other mod, you have to decide which features you like more because Concise overpowers the other mod so having them both active does nothing as far as I can tell.

Gamer Grampz it because when the link is in the top, it’s only there for a short time. I have to click it right then in the middle of the video I’m watching. With it in the description I can wait til the end and then click away after I give you the Like.
@@cmarkn No worries man I'll keep in down there going forward in future videos. Just so you know though, you actually don't have to click the link in the top right immediately when it pops up. At anypoint if you click on the little "i" icon with a circle at the top it will show you what I linked there.

my civ 6 dosnt have a mod folder
The folder isn't in your Civ 6 Folder, it is in the Steam one. If you look closely in the video I show the normal file path where you can find it but if you had your steam set to something else other than the default install directories you might have to look around for it.

My game is crashing after 170 turns
I think I'd cry if my game crashed after a 170 turns. LOL.
Whenever I download a mod it always says "Another version of this mod is already enabled" (playing using epic)
