As a lifelong Yankee fan, we can't get upset about the Dodgers landing so many of the Free Agents and good and potentially good players right now. This is what the Yankees did for many years in the past. A lot of other fans used to hate the Yankees and George Steinbrenner for not caring about the cap or luxury tax, or anything else. The Dodgers are playing within the rules and seem to have a natural advantage with the current Asian players, just by their proximity to Japan and Korea, etc.. There's also the fact that the West Coast has a high population of Japanese and Korean Americans to begin with. Something else that doesn't seem to be discussed much, is the fact that the Dodgers already have some big name Japanese/foreign players and that takes a lot of the pressure off of Roki Sasaki and any other player regarding the media, fans, etc.. Ohtani being on the Dodgers allows Sasaki to not have to be the biggest name from Japan and keeps the blaring spotlight from being directed mainly on Sasaki. He also has Yamamoto to buffer him and advise him. The Dodgers were just the logical choice for Sasaki.
@@metsoIomitaWhy? Every fan should wish their team was more like them. Even the Diamondbacks have no TV deal and signed Corbin Burnes and made it to the WS 2 years ago. Why aren’t these teams creating a winning culture that players want to be a part of?
I'm a Braves fan and I don't think the Dodgers are ruining baseball. I think all the other teams who aren't willing to do what the Dodgers do, are ruining baseball. Dodgers ownership/management actually cares about winning. The majority of the other teams don't prioritize winning, they are perfectly comfortable taking their profits and not putting in the extra effort that the Dodgers do. Any real fan of baseball should admire what the Dodgers are doing, and should be ashamed of their own organization for not striving for greatness like the Dodgers clearly strive for. Frank and Scott are right about Sasaki's rankings right now. Sasaki is great in Dynasty/Prospects but it seems like he may be ranked a bit too high in redraft right now. We may not even see much of this kid in 2025. Between his velocity being down and his limited innings, the Dodgers may wait a while to brig him up, if at all, and even if they bring him up earlier, his innings are definitely going to be limited. I'm taking the Under for his "Innings Pitched" line, if it is actually 148 innings.
As early as last year, the Dodgers were chokers in the playoffs and only had a Mickey Mouse championship. We win a few free agents, a World Series ring and all of a sudden it’s an evil empire. All of the other teams need to step up their game.
The dodgers in 2025 maybe the best team ever. Offensively talented with Mookie , Freedie Ohtani max, smith, Edman, Teo… Pitching they have 5 potential cy young candidates. Relief is maybe their only weakness but still above avg. getting tanner scott wil make them perfect
First three years, he will receive the rookie scale salary, which is typically under $1 million. Then he will have three arbitration years. He also receives $6.5 million as a signing bonus using the Dodgers international pool money.
What if the Dodgers just started piggy-backing all these guys? They obviously have too many pitchers, most of which are often injured. Would benefit them to just run two of them out for 3-4 innings apiece each game, to preserve their health and innings. Would definitely hurt each of their fantasy values, for sure.
These Japanese pitchers should have to go through the draft process just like all the other players. This would Stop one team from dominating the league.

The NFL works because the Rams and the Giants can't simply buy championships. The salary cap is the great equalizer.
