I once lived in Caloocan an from 1956 through 1966. I'm retired now and having living in California since 1966. I sill have vivid memories of my childhood in caloocan. My happiest times.

I was in Subic Subic bay. I met a young couple who invited me to a 1st birthday party. As I walked through the slum. I realised how a animal in the zoo feels Every eye was on me. I'm sure I was the first white to enter the area. But they were so friendly. I'm sure they knew how uncomfortably I felt.
Those alley become so narrow not because of government originally map it to be wide BUT the poor and corrupted people made it become narrow this is how most of place in caloocan and the rest is . They want even little space that for them to walk get and then also they the one always complaining about harsh life.🙏
The government must initiate decent vertical housing in metro Manila like mayor did. It can be done. Borrow 10 billion pesos and massively build vertical housing for the masses, they will pay back for two to three generation, okay lang.
