The Bauer manual states the clips should not be inverted as you are suggesting to tune the chin strap. is it possible to do without issue?
We have had success installing the Concept 3 with the clips in both positions
just got it but when I got it pro hockey life did it for us so it was good

i have the bauer fog spray and when I read the directions/follow yt videos on how to apply it, it still fogs up for me. id like to stick with the bauer concept III, what can I do to prevent fog as much as possible?

Hi Pure Hockey, I have a question. My helmet is the IMS 5.0 and I did all the steps correctly. When I connected the top clips to my face shield, my helemet just got stuck in a certain position. I dont know what to do
The top clips are shaped to allow the shield to hold itself up, but can easily be moved up an down without doing any damage. You should be able to force it back down into normal position, but if you are having trouble we would recommend seeking help one of our stores or from a local pro-shop. thanks!

@@presidentnixon33 I also have the IMS 5 and what I did was just not tighten the screws too much. It allows for it hold itself up but I can push it down. Now, I don't know if that's not recommended and if I should have the screws tightened all the way.

Good morning, the Bauer Re-akt 65 large senior helmet is compatible with the concept 3 full-face visor, could they be used together?
Yes, they could be used together.
Just threw this on a New hyperlite and the shield doesn’t appear able to lay deep enough into the J Clip. The instruction specifically say not to flip the clips around either. Is this ok?
We would say as long as the shield is making contact with the J-Clips and feels secure on your chin that this is ok!
I am just a mom trying to figure this all out😅 The chin cup, looks oddly way too close. He has other helmets where it rests on the cage. I see where to adjust it by the clip on the side of the helmet but is there anyway to make it more comfortable? Doesn’t look like it really adjusts other than that? Maybe because he got a junior but the guy at pure hockey told me not to get the senior because it doesn’t fit the helmet as good which I thought was weird to say.
You should be able to adjust the side straps so it doesn't sit so close or is as tight on his face. You do want it to sit on the chin, with the shield fitting properly in the J-Clips for safety but depending on your sons head size and shape, a senior cage may be the better option. If possible, you can bring the helmet into the store and show one of our employees to see what they recommend.
I lost the top screws for this and sadly can't put it on because the normal screws for the helmet are too short. Any idea where I can get some new ones?
Hi Adam, I'm not totally sure what size of screw the Bauer Concept 3 would need but we do have a Bauer Helmet Repair kit that may work.

I’m having a problem with the clips when I scew them on they get to tight that it doesn’t allow the visor to move at all
The Concept 3 clips are meant to hold the face shield in place, so they are going to hold pretty tight. There should be plenty of give to move the face shield up enough to take you helmet on and off, however you wont be able to flip the face shield up all the way without hitting some resistance.
Does the Jr size fit in the Bauer lil’ sport helmet?
Hi Sherrilynn, Great question! Unfortunately the Concept 3 junior does not fit on the Bauer lil sport. We would recommend upgrading to the Bauer Prodigy helmet, or the Bauer Re-Akt 100 youth helmet. Both those options run around the same size as the lil sport and have plenty of adjustment and the Junior concept 3 fits great on both!
Out of curiosity, does bauer have a replacement/repair kit for assembly pieces?
Bauer does have an emergency helmet kit: www.purehockey.com/product/bauer-emergency-helmet-repair-kit/itm/5617-2/ Although not all the Concept 3 hardware is included(no top clips or j-clips)
Would the senior or junior size fit a medium Bauer re Akt 85?
Both will fit, but it comes down to the size of the face of the user. Typically a youth player would wear the junior size and a teenager-adult would wear a senior size.

Can the j-clips be trimmed? Seems like I need to put the j-clips in the lowest position but then they interfere with the side straps. Thanks for the help.
Hi Katie, Great question! We do not recommend trimming the j-clips. If you have a Pure Hockey location near you they can assist you with attaching the shield correctly. If not, most pro-shops should be able to help as well. Thanks!

Just bought new helmet and the bubble, from Woodbury Pure hockey, store guy said
He would put on, got to hotel and son put on helmet... No j clips attached and no snaps on side to clip helmet too... Over $300 spent and not put together right and he plays before u open... Thanks for the help... No very happy

@@purehockey Alex is right. The screws that come with the CIII face shield DO NOT have enough length to go through the front black clips and into the helmet...any helmet I have tried. The screws are a 1/8 to 1/4 inch too short. So it requires either different clips or longer screws. As a result, I now have a collection of black clips from previous CIII shields. I go to the hardware store and pick up some hefty cable clips to use with provided screws instead.
Just bought this face shield .. back to the store I go

I had no pre-existing backing screws so the 4 I received wasn’t enough. ( thus thinking I was shorted)

You could, however it isn't recommended because the cage won't be fully secure, which could cause fitting issues or injury.

Yes, it will fit a Re-Akt 85.
Does anyone know how to tint?
Wish we could help you on this end, but we're not familiar with any company (maybe a local tint shop?) that will tint a Full Shield.
any one have issues trying to install this on the ims 5.0 it seems like the screws are to small
Hi Tyler! We have had no issues installing on the IMS 5.0 Sometimes it helps to have the face shield in the up position when installing the screws for a better angle.

It fogs up. The CCM FV1 does not.
Thanks for the feedback! If fogging does occur try using defogger spray or gel. Here's a couple options that work well with fogging issues.
