The US Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre. The 2023 US Open saw Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and USA’s Coco Gauff claim the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title. The 2024 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 26 - September 8. Stosur played very well to win the title.
Amazing performance by Stosur, even though she wasn't necessarily known for her title match capabilities. She definitely deserved to have a slam, and could have done more with more self belief.

Margaret Court was the greatest to ever play. Margaret won 24 major singles titles, 21 major mixed doubles titles, and 19 major doubles titles... TOTAL of 64 major titles. Serena only had 39. Margaret played 15 years, Serena played 27 years. They were both mothers while being professional. Margaret had 192 career titles, Serena had 73. It's not even close who the GOAT is.
