Thanks from Germany for this very interersting video. I just wonder why anybody would build a new bodywork on a dated, 22 year old chassis?

The O305 chassis was built with great reliability and simplicity - no computer chips and no emissions control crap (EGR + SCR AdBlue). Fewer things that can break. A grand total of 1317 O305s (PMC Galvastress Mk I - IV bodywork) were originally delivered to Sydney's State Transit Authority of New South Wales, the state government bus operator, in operation from 1977-2012.

King Bros Bus Service, at the time of acquiring these buses (circa 99), were a corrupt and fraudulent company. They rebodied it so it would look new to the eyes of the unsuspecting public. However it was a cheap job, seen in the quality of the builds. These Autobus bodied ones (I believe) still have the original roof, with patches all over on the top (or at least was kept through the rebody process). Only two were rebodied with an Autobus front, apparently was a long story. Most were rebodied with an Ansair Orana front, but all rebodies were done at Coachworks. Ansair/Austral-Pacific themselves were out of business as their parent company (Clifford Corporation) collapsed as well with other debts and investigations.

It's not a re-body, it's a private operator's choice at the time. The O305 was imported in big numbers by many Australian operators. Most of the big urban fleets (Sydney's UTA/ STA especially) settled on one of two designs, PMC being the most popular, but some private operators wanted something different.
