    I kinda wish they would put out the 8-string version of Mark’s guitar. Saw it in the video where they performed Four Lights + Stranger Things at like a Guitar Center and it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. Both Mark’s and Jake’s 8-strings in that video are dream guitars for me, like hot damn.

      @@gavinchristiantoro Hey Gavin, I'm not really an expert on pickups but I'll give it a shot ! lol. When I first put the alpha/omega set in the km7 I wasn't sure if I liked 'em. it took a couple days before I got a good feel for their response. I still prefer the Nazgul over the Omega mainly because the attack the Nazgul has is just perfect. But the Omega has grown on me and I would highly recommend it ! Especially for technical players. The Alpha seemed muddier than the sentient at first and I didn't like it at all . So I just started messing around with the eq and rolled the bass back a bit realized it has a fatter sound. Once I took care of the mud it started to shine. It has rich characteristic that's hard to describe. I don't really play leads much so I cant speak on that aspect, but once I started using it in split position for ambient and melodic stuff I fell in love. It can be very chimey, clear and articulate. I'm sure it sounds great for leads as well, I just can't speak on that myself. The only thing is, they are pricey. I paid $299 for the set. Hopefully that helps a bit. Cheers !

    Fun fact - if you order an SE while being based in the US, it will go through a set up in Maryland. If, like me, you are based OUS, then good luck. I've had a PRS SE SVN bought through thomann, a friend of mine bought the SE custom 24 we both had issues. The main problem being issues with electronics/wiring, poorly cut nut, frets were not rounded and the guitar was razor sharp, loose screws etc. So it's a wildly different experience when it goes straight out of an indonesian factory compared to a proper QC in the US.

    • @guitaristssuck8979

    Amazing review as usual :) As a djent abuser, periphery/Tesseract/Monuments lover, I HAVE TO get a 7 string/baritone. Do you think 26.5 with 7 string can cover my needs? You were really relaxed while soloing on Halcomb, if it covers my needs I will seriously think about getting one! Thanks my man, cheers!

    I had the six string SE for about 24 hours. It's the best guitar I've ever bought!
    I got it new at the store, and when I got home, I found a huge crack that was hidden under the truss cover, the best part was that the crack was UNDER the paint! So someone at the factory in Indonesia just looked at the cracked neck and went like "well, this looks good enough for paint!" and then the QC guy went like "yup, this puppy is ready to go!".
    So I brought it back to the store, they were so embarrassed that they went full damage control and sold me a Suhr guitar at cost, saving me around 1300$. So yeah! PRS SE MH is the best guitar I've ever gotten, now I have a sick Suhr Modern Terra.
    p.s: DON'T BUY THESE CHEAP IMPORTS! THEY ARE PURE SHIT.
    Oh, and I love your playing. Cheers!

    Hi mate great vid. Am considering either this as 6 string or se custom 24. I’m hugely into old school thrash as well as ozzy, sabbath and the like. Can you tell me which guitar is better suited to cater that old school rock/metal style? Don’t want to get a guitar that’s hugely modern metal based if it’s wasted on my old school riffs. But don’t want the other option if pick ups can’t handle that sort of stuff. Thanks

      @Owtyg23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest you'd have to go try them if possible. This guitar is great imo but getting used to a 20" fretboard radius is a bit weird. The pickups are incredible however and will work for almost any genre. Good luck mate

    Well, I ordered one 2 weeks ago and I had to send it back unfortunately. The neck was not straight, and bit loose, the lowest string (B) ran against the neck. Big disappointment. And great for reviewing this and that you don't have any QC-issues with the one you had for your review. There are some problems with QC with this model however, so be aware of that.

      I’ve got both and I find the alpha set is not as clean, maybe a bit more hot but it has a lot of excess frequencies that I have to cut out whereas the bare knuckles (whether it’s ragnarok or juggernauts) are so clean and transparent that they are just a breeze to record with in my opinion.
      If you want clarity but still want the pickups to be rowdy as hell go bare knuckle.
      With that said, the alpha set is still a dope set of pickups and for this price it’s a no brainer.

    Not sure if it's because your jackson is basswood on the 7 string or if it's just the juggernauts but this definitely has a muddier tone compared to your jackson when playing the bottom string and bigger chords.
