That voice is still perfect in my mind. That man is still the one that’s forever #1 in my heart.
I don’t care about comments, criticisms, or snarky jabs.
He’s Paul McCartney. He’s everything any other singer/ songwriter would dream to be.
And we lived when he did. Nobody can ask for more than that.

My ear filters out the change in Paul's voice to hear his 1960's voice. I can't imagine how many songs he has sang with those vocal chords? It's amazing he can still talk yet alone sing. What a legend.

I am singer and 65 years old. I can still sing decently. If I ever get to where Paul is now, I would not WANT people to pay money to see me. I make no apologies. Paul needs to retire!!!! That is the truth. I have been singing for 50 years. He needs to retire. Now if he charged $10 a seat for his concerts, that would be fair. His voice is horrible at this point in time. He should feel guilty charging hundreds and thousands of dollars for a seat. He certainly doesn't need the money. Now if he said he was donating 100% of the concert proceeds minus expenses to charity, that would seem more ethical to me.

80 years old and still going for it. It's amazing that McCartney has been writing, composing, singing and playing music since he was 15 years old....That's 65 years of practice...who can even come close to his accomplishments over the years. Always liked this Song.
    Opening track American Version.
    RUBBER SOUL.
    On HELP UK version.
    Paul now at 80.
    Understandably his Voice
    Has Weathered.
    It should.
    He's still touches our Hearts.
    There's Fragility in his Voice.
But there's a certain Beauty in that.
I just hope at some point.
With Humbleness he steps down at the right time.
    IF this was last Tour.
It would be fitting I think.
Probably greatest POP Artist there ever was.

Well, folks, let me tell ya Yes,Paul is showing his age some, but remember he is probably on your and singing a lot.I heard him years ago,and realized he sounded tired and had a hard time with his voice and knew why.
I am 71,still performing and if I was playing 6 nights a week like I did in my late 50s doing a solo and singing every song,I might sound as problematical ad Sir
Paul on this video(and did when I sang that much!).
So,give him some leeway. You karaoke singers out there, out on your favorite songs and sing to them for 2 hours for about 4 nights and you will get an idea how it can be.D.C.

    • @ianz9916
      @ianz9916 2 ปีที่แล้ว

But that is exactly the point. He should scale it back so his voice can recover sufficiently to do himself justice. His album McCartney III shows he can still do it but, obviously, the number of performances and the length of those performances is taking it's toll. It is somewhat ironic that Beatles gigs lasted less than an hour at a point in their lives where they could have managed far more if only they could have heard what they were playing.

I love the man , glad I got to see him a few times in 1970 'a and 80's , 90's. But the price for tickets has gotten out of hand. And his voice no longer has the ability to carry the tunes. So, I'm out for this concert series. This is my opinion, if you can see him and want to . More power to you.

It's sad to hear the deterioration of his voice. He simply can't sing anymore. He's really out of tune. I can't tell why this happened. Paul Simon is older and still sounds the same as he did in the 1960s and 1970s. Paul McCartney should really quit singing. I adore him but this is too painful to watch and hear.
