Played this game and wow was it a waking call I didn't quite fully understood until a friend needed me there and I just listened, I didn't interrupt even when I really felt like I should. I just stayed quiet and listened to even their pauses. And they sorta came to their own conclusion only butting in once they asked me something. Go through the game from the first time to the 4th ending, just following the internal moral principles ... 3. And then go to the 2nd ending for the extra chapters and... look at your reflection in the actions of anon... I'm so fucked up... This game made me realize a lot. I've never liked going through all the endings, but now I understand what it means to learn from mistakes...
I hate the fact that I fell in love with snoot game and it's characters. It's a fricking visual novel about dinosaurs that was made as a parody. And it makes me be a better person. Nice.
You know, I never really looked that closely at the artwork for this thing. I just now noticed that the "O"s in Snoot are colored after Anon and Fang, while "Original Soundtrack" has the colors of Trish and Reed. I wondered where Naser was in all of that until I noticed the rest of the letters. There might be some more meaning behind that given "Original" is purple and Trish was constantly trying to make Fang and VVURM DRAMA more original. It's not that important, but it's a nice touch you don't really notice at first.
God, where do I even begin? I originally jumped into this game thinking I'll drop out within the first 20 minutes. Oh how I was wrong. Seeing how Anon had a rough school past, that hit home right on the mark, and I immediately started sympathizing with him. Any throughout the story, I felt more and more attached to Anon, and he slowly began to become of an extension of myself, probably a reason I got so emotionally invested into this game. When I first met Fang I thought she(they) was(were) weird, but rather quickly she(they) grew on me. I felt myself grow attached to every character, (yes even Naomi) and I wanted the best for all of them, my first time I beat the game I got Ending 3, but it was missing something. So I went back, and got Ending 4. It was worth it, but man did it hurt. I hated seeing the story end, despite Anon and Fang being happy together. I hated having to come to realization that the story was ending, and there was nothing I could do to change that. For a fucking 4Chan game making fun of the actual game, it's insane how well made this game it. The reason why I personally grew attached to Fang wasn't cause she was designed to BE likable. They're not the perfect "love interest" of the VN. They're broken, and that humanizes them so much more than just being "perfect" could ever do. Sitting on the roof with them, while they were bleeding and crying, was one of the most "human" moments in a game I've ever seen. Despite being a knockoff of the actual game, this game is a masterpiece, I loved every second of it. I laughed with characters, I got angry when someone did something, I got sad when bad things happened. I know GVH won't be anything like this game, but I'm still looking forward to going back to Volcano High, for the end of an era. GG Cavemanon, you made me cry 1 too many times. Love this game to death. 11/10
If you want a similar game i can recomend you Katawa Shojo. Its also made by 4chan except the idea that led to the création of the game id even worse the SnootGame, and its still à master piece with objectively the same level of character than snoot. 11/10

I suddenly remembered this game existed like a week ago (must have seen something GVH related) and got curious to finally see if it was actually any good and man, the last time i got this invested on a VN was an eternity ago (which makes me want to check out more VNs again). Fucking crazy to see something this well done being completely free and born from a shitpost, makes me regret not paying attention to it sooner. Fortunately the dev(s?) is working other games, I wani hug that gator and Exit 665. I'll definitely be there this time around.
Its quite a shame not many knows this game, lucky i stumbled across it through "i wanna hug that gator" trailer and found "the snoot game" trailer, looked at some reviews, and it says that it was a fan game with the source being "goodbye volcano high" and it released earlier than the source and it is somehow far better than it once the official releases it. I decided to download the game just to do ONE blind run and called it a day and i got the 3rd ending, i got curious and wanted to get 100% not realising i have grown attached to the game and so i did (MOTIVATEDLY). Now that i think of it, i started playing the game as a joke, not realising that... a visual novel about dating an antropomorphic goth non-binary pterodactly Impacted me. ...im such a dweeb... thank you for everything, Fang.

It sounds so serene. Sincere. This will be what I hear on my deathbed. It just sounds like what true family feels like. Joy, melancholy, love, heartbreak. Like looking towards a hopeful future, and letting go of the past. Accepting that while things must inevitably end, more will always start.
I find beauty is not in perfection, but imperfection. As flaws highlight the good parts more, and show just how much they're overshadowed. Another song that kind of hits that feeling is Drawn To Life: The End. It's the credits theme to the game Drawn To Life. The dude's voice is kind of raspy, and I think there's a slight error when plucking the guitar strings at one point. Best love song I've ever heard.

I finally played and binged this game over the last three days. Holy shit… I’ve never cried so much or felt so happy with an ear to ear grin like this game gave me. Given me a lot to reflect and think about.
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Now, I remain lonely, isolated from those I wished most to connect with, but I'm making the right steps now, and maybe some day, I can smile again. Until then, I will continue to come back here, to hear this bittersweet lullaby played with love by the fictional woman who inspired me to start living again.

I remember seeing the sticky and thinking "oh, it's from that gay dino game" and never checking it And yesterday I finally finished snootgame, going through all endings and finishing off with 4. It's a weird thought, but if anon had disregarded fang the same way I ignored the sticky, nothing would have happened in the story. It was kind of a kick in the gut, but it also made me realize just how great of a story this game really tells, and how many things can be learned from what's basically a fan project made by some dudes who barely knew each other I can also safely say this is the first game that ever made me cry by listening to its soundtrack. Thank you all, dev team and fangbros, for making this game happen.

I really wish I didn't have to play the bad endings to get access to the Bonus Chapters. I'm really glad that I made a break and played Prototype 2 instead after I got Ending 3 and 4. Because even with skipping through the Story so to not get emotionally attached to it, the thoughts and emotions I felt during the actual endings are still echoing through my body. Ending 1 is just the worst... but Ending 2 reminds me a little of myself. That apathetic version of Fang and Anon. If I didn't have my family supporting me I might just look like them. It really is both amazing and horrifying, what a Visual Novel, which was intended to be a Parody, could do with me. Every Character is important. And the music... really underlines the moments in the Story. The only real criticism I have about the game is that the Story remains the same despite your choices until the End rolls around.
Theres little changes, but once the changes are made theres no back, but I know what you mean. Ending 2 is also more possible, more day to day. Ending 1 was technically the joke ending, The Goodbye Volcano High image is still out there, and was supposed to be taken as a joke. But when presented on the game, it just makes you feel empty. It hits hards and despite not taking some times itself serius, when it needs, its incredibly depressing and emotional. For a game that was supposed to be a Parody made by 4chan, anyone who plays it only knowing that, will be surprised, really big surprised. I sometimes wish the game just had more people playing it. But you know, this is a furry VN and people people evade that kind of stuff, if you add the thing that its a parody made by 4chan, yea, its hard to shill. But again. A great game, with great moments and on point OST that I wish god more traction (specially with the fact that the devs are making 2 games right now in pararell)
