Sparklez really just came out of nowhere. I blink and he's instantly at the top with tens of thousands subscribers.
Also, I'm kinda surprised that Philza, Lizzie, Joel or Scott were nowhere on the list.
Just added those who currently have more than 7.5M subs to limit the amount of work xD
@@MaxDataYT I noticed that, but I'm still surprised. I thought those four had much higher subscriber counts. Like, Philza has the five year hardcore world lost to a baby zombie and there's the running joke of philza basically being Father Minecraft. Scott has the whole MCC thing. Joel tends to just shoot up the charts out of nowhere with these kinds of videos. And Lizzie tends to have as much success as Joel, sometimes even more. So it really surprised me that none of them were on the list.
I think it's because he already had that many subscribers before making Minecraft videos.

Scott is almost at 2 mil, Phil is at 3, Joel is also at 3 and Lizzie is at 6. I do feel like they deserved a spot in the beginning because they are og’s
I feel like the fact that Grian has 0 for so long is a big motivation for others who have little subscribers!

Good to see that Dream was around way before the DSMP blew up in popularity. So many keep thinking he just came out of nowhere and got so many followers in a day. You can see his sudden burst of followers happened during the start of 2020. when in reality, he's been around since 2014
You should search a video on Dream's Chanel story It's amazing the steps he took to make his channel blow up like it did

It just seems so extraordinary to me that they were able to achieve an extraordinary amount of subs in 2 years. Like there were people at 1 to 5,000 subs and just shot up to like 20mil. Don’t get me wrong 100 is a lot of subs. Amazing video!

I was astonished when Dream 💚 and Mikecrack 💛 were neck to neck in the subscriber count race and how they escalated. I was certainly sure that Dream 💚 was gonna win 🥇🏆 but the results were changed, and Mikecrack 💛 was the winner overall. He’s literally the *ONLY* most popular TH-camr that speaks Spanish since he’s from Spain 🇪🇸
I like to think dream was just running to the top screaming on top of his lungs saying " nooo jimmy gooo away " and mr beast just Chase dream while everyone just confused about what just happened

Man, it’s really sad to me not seeing a single comment on this video about PopularMMOs, I grew up with him and it’s depressing to see that no one talks about him anymore even though he was this huge name in the Minecraft community for so long

Poor Grian. He set a TH-cam record for “first Minecraft TH-camr” yet he didn’t get any subscribers until 2013. Im glade that he’s doing amazing in subs now, because his content is outstanding.
He is nowhere near the first. He's not even the first minecraft youtuber from hermitcraft and I'm pretty sure he didn't create any videos till 2013, so that's why he didn't gain any subs
He is not the first Minecraft TH-camr. Why is it so hard to understand that this is current largest? You're basically saying that in 2020 there were 24 Minecraft TH-camrs.
Kind of weird seeing Mumbo and Grian being at the bottom while in these types of video on hermitcraft or3rd/last/double life they are at the top.

Personally my favorite people on this list is mumbo and grian
It's hard to think that Grian and Mumbo 3 years ago had about 2 million and now they have around 8 million each
Watching TH-camrs like Stampy and captain sparkles slowly stop growing and get pushed down was a sad thing to see.

Wow a few of these people I've never even heard of, like the person popular right now, Mikecrack? Never heard of them, I think the main people I watch is stampylonghead, sometimes Unspeakable Gaming and rarely PrestonPlayz, the people on this list I've watched maybe a super super tiny bit is DanTDM, Jelly, CaptainSparklez and Grian, seriously a few of these people I've never heard of, it's kind of funny though how everyone blew up when Covid started
mikecrack is the biggest spanish ytber, so its fair that no1 here knows him but he is very famous in the spanish community :D
also, there is 1 more spanish youtuber, that although doesent post vids anymore has 33M subs: vegeta777
Aphmau was my favorite when I was younger, out of the ones on this list, but it's crazy how her growth story is so different, because yes even though she had millions of subs while she was an OG Minecrafter, she also kind of blew up with the new minecrafters. As an old fan idk how I feel about her new content you can't deny she was probably the smartest of the OG Minecrafters in terms of how to keep your channel afloat and ride the wave of new Minecraft channels and grow at maybe an even faster rate then she once did
Aphmau and her Minecraft videos are more of a joke. She role plays Minecraft but doesn’t play.

I love that how TH-camrs have worked years to get to 20 mil and mrbeastgaming just came up in a 1 year
To be fair it’s a side channel, which means everyone who subs to the main heard about it and got a lot more advertising then other channels did when they first started
This didn't just happen to MrBeast side channel, this happened to TH-cam as a whole, it's easy to skyrocket to over a few million subs now a days and over 10 million if you play your cards right in another few weeks or months when compared to 2015 or so, getting 10 million was considered a achievement and every 1 Million subs was a reward in of itself
Honestly, Grian should be at the top of that list, not the bottom. Anyone I know who does watch him though love him, not just watch him a little bit, which is important.

Watching this now is so weird, I remember constantly watching a lot of these guys when I was younger but I don’t anymore, and then there’s the ones I watch now. And, well, the ones I don’t recognize at all.
Although it does make sense since the ones I watched the most were some of the top back then. Still weird though.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Jess; but she is repeating the same schtick for so long I know of a bunch of people who dropped her channel in 2020 and 2021 (mused included). So how did Aphmau have a resurgence and so many subscribers?
Also, one can clearly see how the pandemic had an effect on Subscriber count through all channels.
Same honestly, but I guess majority of her fanbase likes the content enjoys what she makes today, so many people that all of the people that left made really no difference because so many people were coming in. Although I do think her current content is great, it feels very scripted and I miss her series of roleplays and playthroughs as well as the videos were it felt like she was interacting with the community more. I also miss Andy, Lizzy, and her other friends that she did things with. But her channel is in a new era, and as long as it works for her and makes her happy, healthy, and less stressed, then thats good. Though I wish there was more variety, if this is her way of continuing her channel while loving her job at the same time, then she should continue. Just still waiting for that day where she brings more chaos in Grian's Life Series, even if it most likely will never happen :')
