Love the episode. Usually during train strikes they still run a reduced schedule. On the CP app/site you just need to look for the trains with the buy buttons. Worse are the strikes at the various offices and you don't normally know until you walk up to the office and find a posted sign. You're probably thinking of Manteigaria (manteiga is butter), where you can usually watch them making the pastéis. They have them in Lisbon and Porto. A visit to Madeira is well worth it. So beautiful, and the weather is incredible. If you're doing Porto I may try to stay up for it.
Just because you buy that electrical adaptor BEWARE ! YES you can plug in any USA device BUT many of your USA devices are 110VAC The voltage in LISBON is 230VAC and will BURN OUT any device that runs only on 110VAC YES most power adaptors for computers will work on either voltage CHECK the device BEFORE you plug in anything Mark the adaptor with a RED marker 220 VOLTS ONLY Check out the SETUBAL area SOMEBODY NEEDS to open a new TEXAS BAR there
I don't like the way the PT govt DEMANDS you do so many things with a D7 BEFORE you are even approved like depositing large amounts of $$ in their bank, renting a place, etc Tells me that they will always have their hand in your pocket, VISIT OK, LIVE- NO
