There are so many things my mind still has to settle on as a 15 year long fan of Bayer Leverkusen. As someone who loves to look at stats, this video weirdly made it sink in that in future looking at the Bundesliga titles, there will be a name on that list with an amazing background in how it came to be. Where do people get the idea from that Bayern hasn't been good? They're on pace for 75 points which would be good enough to win the title 11 times in the past 24 years.
Bayer Leverkusen got some very talented young players with a great player to prove himself as a coach. Grimaldo, Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong are so exciting to watch! Frimpongs lightning speed and defense piercing passes especially have been devastating for the opponents whole season.
I know im asking for a lot as this is not a channel about the Bundesliga, but i think a video about VfB Stuttgart could be a great idea. This season has been a fairytale for them, most likely qualifying for the championsleague with arguably the second best football in Germany, after almost a decade of struggling against relegation and losing endo their at the time most important player.

In no other league you find teams like stuttgart which survived the relegation knockouts vs HSV last season only to qualify for the champions league this season and a team like Union Berlin which qualifying for champions league last season only to fighting against relegation this season. If you can't appreciate the pure competitiveness of the league which no other league has to offer then with the Bundesliga you're at the wrong place anyways.
its gonna be hard to keep the unbeaten record having to not lose to the revived roma twice and either Marseille or Atalanta in the Europa league and all the games left in the Bundesliga being against top 6 Bundesliga teams being ucl semi finalist Dortmund away, Frankfort away, Stuttgart at home all those games are hard af but if they do this its history
The Harry Kane effect is so strong. I mean wow. Cole Palmer is nicknamed Ice Cold Palmer. But Harry Kane is like that William H Macey film The Cooler. Stick him next to someone on a winning streak and watch them lose.
Bayern's point tally would make them win the league most other years. Leverkusen isn't champion because Bayern was bad but because Leverkusen is out of this world this season.

I'm a Bayern fan and I'm glad someone finally broke the streak. It will shake us out of complacency and also de Bundesliga will finally be given the respect it deserves
11 times they have scored injury time winners/equalizers this season! 11 times! 4 or 5 itself is a bonkers stat for a team of any level, but 11 is shattering-time-as-a-linear-concept level insane
I don't want to minimise Leverkusen's success; in sporting terms, the championship was well deserved. Of course, Leverkusen made some very good transfers and was courageous. Just like Dortmund with Jürgen Klopp back then. To complete the picture, however, one must at least mention that Leverkusen had a competitive advantage due to the Bayer Group, as the Bayer Group absorbed the Covid losses while other clubs had to absorb these losses themselves. Leverkusen were therefore able to reinvest all their transfer income in the squad.
With that mindset, it is no surprise that Bayern won so many titles in a row. How can you compete with Bayern without investment like this? Bayern has worldwide sponsorship and merchandise deals. To achieve that you need to win a lot. To add insult to injury Bayern got Neuer, and Lewandowski for free
1:07 Showing the Leverkusen goal in the 89th minute in the video is misleading as they would have progressed without that goal as well, West Ham would have had to score a second goal to get the match into overtime. 8:37 The numbers for goals and assists are mixed up.

Alonso has built a strong team that believe in each other and has CLUTCH!!! wow! So much clutch!
one day after this video came out and they scored 97th min equalizer to 1-1 against Dortmund, keeping up the unbeaten streak :D
Excellent video, Tinashe!
Glad you liked it!
I see people talk about levekusen being a "company club" even though the club simply started from bayer workers, with little to no money being invested to the club
bayer invested a lot of money into leverkusen, almost 25mil. a year sometime even more
Plus covid basically didn't affect Leverkusen, as Bayer just gave them the money back which they lost in the pandemic
Meanwhile Telekom, Audi and co "Sponsor" Bayern Munich for 200m each year. Volkswagen 75m in Wolfsburg each year.
@@lookatthisbizarre2940 25 million is nothing in today's market for this level of achievement. Also, Bayern transfers are shady. Got all those players almost free of charge. How?
@@aleksandarkovacevic7138 It was 25 million 15 years ago. We actually don't know how much it is currently could be 50 Million or 100 million we don't know.
Btw when your budget is 150 million the 25 million is much.
When players contracts are running out other clubs can sign them for free. That's what Bayern is doing... Neuer, Lewandowski, Guerreiro and so on.
thx for the nice vid bro. greetz from germany :)
Absolutely amazing team and wonderful football. Great analysis of their season so far. One more black magic against Dortmund 🎉
And they just scared in the 90'7 minute against Dortmund😅
Also they scored in 90+8 against Stuttgart after trailing 2-0.
I waited almost 30 years for that day. That’s the love of football ❤️🖤❤️🖤
I honestly believe Alonso could stay at Leverkusen for years and turn them into the kings of Europe. With Messi & Ronaldo winding down, I thought football might've enter a boring dark age but this guy gives me hope we're seeing a manager of a level never seen before.
If Arteta, Ancelloti and Mou can get locked in we might see 5-6 great managers with propa teams like we used to 2005-2015 in the CL.
Love these vids a lot! Would love to see more video essays from time to time.
I'm actually glad a different team won this season
Bayern Munich fan saying this
I would just give up on the bundesliga if only one team won it every season.
@@mheiseusYou would but germans don't really care about that. For a Frankfurt or Stuttgart fan it makes no difference if Bayern or Leverkusens win the title only for you intentional football followers it's a relevant topic.
Average attendances in germany are the highest even the 2.Bundesliga does have a higher average attendance than la liga and serie a.
You see no one cares.
Nice stuff bro. From South Africa
Happens when you give Xhaka the keys.
Thanks to you this bayer 04 team will be forever dubbed “the immortals”
Bayer did their black magic stuff again. Yesterday they scored a Equalizer in the 97th Minute abgainst bvb.
Shoutout to Tuchel also play part in breaking Bayern from the inside. Leverkusen finally got their trophy because of him.
Your videos are unmissable, another banger let's get it.
Very cheerful and inspiring one
its gonna be hard to keep the unbeaten record having to not lose to the revived roma twice and either Marseille or Atalanta in the Europa league and all the games left in the Bundesliga being against top 6 Bundesliga teams being ucl semi finalist Dortmund away, Frankfort away, Stuttgart at home all those games are hard af but if they do this its history
Watching this after the 90+7 equaliser against Dortmund
The Harry Kane effect is so strong. I mean wow. Cole Palmer is nicknamed Ice Cold Palmer. But Harry Kane is like that William H Macey film The Cooler. Stick him next to someone on a winning streak and watch them lose.
Bayern's point tally would make them win the league most other years. Leverkusen isn't champion because Bayern was bad but because Leverkusen is out of this world this season.
@@stevqtalent I thought I was making an obvious joke.
@@gm2407 way too many people saying the same thing seriously to be an obvious joke
@@stevqtalent Well that is also part of the joke. But written words do not convey sarcasm or tone in general, so often misunderstandings online can come from a lack of tonal communication.
But back to football, hopefully for Kane he will win something for retiring.
Xabi Alonso, an experienced legend and one of the best player of all time taught them how to play high class football. It's insane, going through the entire season unbeaten. Invincible. Probably gonna get their treble in the same calender year they won their first bundelisga silverware after over a century.
I expected it, i bet on Leverkusen 40 odds that they will be Champions.
Because they played very good football at the end of last season and I thought if they kept playing like that they could become champions
Another late equaliser by andrich against stuttgart. 🤣🤣
The Neverkusen curse could only be defeated by Harry Kane trophyless curse
5 times Runners up And lost the title on final day of the 01 Season. What BL has finally achieved is phenomenal Congratulations on their first ever Bundesliga title. This is what Football is really about! Great Team very technical and Superb passing side. No Big World stars Just a team that Gel and work so hard for each other. They can build on this for sure if they keep Alonso and the squad together. Fantastich BL And more Trophy's lay ahead. As A Spurs Fan huge Admiration and Respect for what BL has finally done! ⚽👍
they have done this two times since you posted this.....its been 7 days.....
You say Black magic
I say Dedication, Never give up attitude
We are not the same
Can we get a video on Stuttgart? They are in 3rd right now and no one is talking about them!!!
I'm rooting for them to not lose a single game this season
We‘re all cheering for an undefeated Treble atm. Gonna get tough tmrw against Dortmund tho after already having the title on lock 😅
I like German football it’s fast pace attacking and fun to watch I started watching Leverkusen when chicharito was playing been a casual fan since not going to jump on the band wagon but I am very happy to see them winning. Alonso is incredibly as a manager and did his sue work before making the jump to professional manager awesome story as well which gives more insight into his managerial style and the manager’s he learned from.
Well done Bayer leverkusen great to see 👏 from Northern Ireland where my hometown club has also broken the mould 2 seasons in a row
10/05/24 and this keep going !! yesterday 2-2, goal at 90+7. Amazing team, incredible emotions. Oh, they broke another record yesterday as well, 49 matches with 0 defeats in all the competitions. 💯🔴⚫
… aaaaand they did it again against BVB this Sunday. 1:1 in the 97. minute. 97.
... and again yesterday against stuttgart. Down from 0-2 to 2-2 in 96th minute.
the league title of leverkusen isnt miraculous. its as likely as chelsea becoming champions. we are talking about the 3rd most succesfull german club in the last 30 years
Not at all...the finacial gap between leverkusen and bayern/Dortmund is waaaay bigger than the gap between the top 5 PL Clubs
@@lupo5528 its still not a miracle, in the past 30 years leverkusen finished in a european spot in the bundesliga more times than dortmund
I'm a Bayern fan and I'm glad someone finally broke the streak. It will shake us out of complacency and also de Bundesliga will finally be given the respect it deserves
I've been playing career mode with leverkusen since 2016, finally someone noticed it
This is a fairytale now. It's just fantastic. ❤Leverkusen
From bayer-NEVERKUSEN to bayer-NEVERLOSEN ❤😊
Great video - being a Hammer fan and seeing them up close they are truly a great side - wish them all the best as they deserve it
Thanks dude...hammers have our big respect 2...chapeau! from leverkusen
The Bayern-Dusel has turned into the Bayer-Dusel. Panic in Munich.
since the fans have 51% shares of the club, how much profit each fan will get this year from their shares
11 times they have scored injury time winners/equalizers this season! 11 times! 4 or 5 itself is a bonkers stat for a team of any level, but 11 is shattering-time-as-a-linear-concept level insane
Intro is crazy
I guess when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object , the immovable object wins
Bayern Munich Nonchalantly bought a top 3 striker in the world(top 5 at worst)spent more on Kane than Bayer did on their whole squad.
"somehow 20 years old", boy do i have a story for you as to why that is the case
Please explain, bro
The qarabag come backs were something else
when the scorerpoints are evenly distributed across half your roster, you know you have a TEAM right there.!
0:00 Well there werent too many of those before this season.
1:07 Showing the Leverkusen goal in the 89th minute in the video is misleading as they would have progressed without that goal as well, West Ham would have had to score a second goal to get the match into overtime.
8:37 The numbers for goals and assists are mixed up.
Yday game vs Dortmund was another Black Magic game, Leverkusen is just beyond unreal this season
Im a die hard Bayern fan. But this Leverkusen story is still amazing, you can only enjoy it. Hope they do win it all, and remain undefeated
Whole Season Unbeaten is what I want❤ in all competitions now
Happy for them and Ballack!
I like that intro, considering that its 420 today lol
Gotta love the "Never say die" mentality of this team. They fight till the end.
It was a pain watching them for years but I'm glad they turned their game around and they're finally Champions 🎉
