U2 are from Ireland... Formed in the 70's by friends in school, U2 emerged from Dublin as a pop rock band and released their debut album 'Boy' in 1980... The line-up is still the same 4 guys - Bono (Hewson, lead vocals), The Edge (David Evans, guitar & keys), Adam Clayton (bass) and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums)... U2 became famous on MTV and radio by their 3rd album 'War' in 1983 and 4th album 'The unforgettable fire' in 1984... both selling multi-platinum in the US and Europe. U2 were launched into superstardom in 1987 w/ their 5th album 'The Joshua Tree'... an album inspired by America. It sold 10 million copies in the US, 25 million worldwide... w/ massive hits like - 'With or without you' ... 'Where the streets have no name' ... 'Bullet the blue sky' ... "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"... A companion album 'Rattle and Hum' was released during the 'Joshua Tree' tour... w/ the hits - 'Desire' ... 'Angel of Harlem... It sold another 5x platinum in the US. After a break, U2 struggled to write a new album but eventually delivered a modern pop rock album 'Achtung baby' in 1991... w/ the massive hits - 'Even better than the real thing' ... 'One' ... 'Mysterious ways' ... 'The Fly'... It sold 8x platinum in the US as U2 launched a massive 'Zoo TV' tour in stadiums to promote the album and released a companion album 'Zooropa' in 1993. U2 hoped to return w/ a new album and tour in 1997... But problems emerged. The album 'Pop' was delayed and turned out somewhat musically shaky... It failed to sell up to expectations (1 million copies in the US) and U2 were not properly rehearsed for the hyped 'Pop Mart' tour and so, the band experienced falling album sales and lower ticket sales as a result. Disheartened by the response to the 'Pop' album, U2 vowed to deliver a great album or call it a day... In 2000, U2 returned to their classic sound on the album "All that you can't leave behind"... and it was a huge success selling 4x platinum in the US w/ the hits - 'Beautiful day'... "Elevation" ... 'Walk on'... U2 launched a successful 'Elevation' world tour to support the album. U2 returned in 2004 w/ "How to dismantle an atomic bomb"... which sold 3x platinum w/ the hits - 'Vertigo' ... 'City of blinding lights'... Later albums by U2 have not quite had the same commercial impact but the band is still playing arenas and stadiums worldwide on the strength and demand of their catalog of music.
@JeffSelf My bad. I worked both shows. On the first night I worked outside, backstage by the trucks and busses. Second night on the second floor upstage right to prevent fans jumping on to the stage from the seats. BoDeans opened up for U2 both nights and then I helped the local union load the Band and the crew out
A friend of mine was working with U2 on the Joshua Tree tour as well, helping with on-stage staff, supporting sound and video team. Her name is Sandra Salvatori. We are both from the Maryland/Virginia/D.C. area, so you may have crossed paths with Sandra. Let me know.
@michaelbriefs9764 I've been blessed to work in the industry in the Hampton roads area, Richmond Charlottesville and DC for 35 years. The last two years I had to pump the brakes taking care of myself, mother and my grandson and I'm loving every minute of it. I have some killer stories and some great times. Take care my brother and hope you have a great holiday season
U2 are from Ireland. Massive hits through the 80s, 90s, 2000's and still going. Same 4 members for over 40 years. Pride in the name of love is great. Mysterious Ways is great. Even better than the real thing.
In 1980 I was listening to a local radio station and they said first 25 people to show up at this music store would get a free cassette from them. And I was driving by at the moment. I have been a fan ever since
I swear on my grandmothers gravestone that you will LOVE one of my favorite all-time songs from them called "Mysterious Ways". It's an absolute gem, and won't sound dated at all.
I was in 7th grade when this song came out. I had heard of U2 and like a couple of their songs. This song blew me away and they’ve been my favorite band ever since I heard it for 37 years. They are a great band and absolutely amazing live. Best live band ever. I highly recommend watching live performances from The Joshua Tree, Zoo TV and Elevation tours
They became easy to sh*t on in the 2000s but its good to see someone from the new generation not influenced by the pile on to see them for what they are, an excellent band.
🙄They are from Dublin, Ireland. Any other question, just ask me. I saw them live 8 times. Twice PopMart in Mexico city December 2 and 3 1997, twice in Tokyo Saitama Super Arena 29, 30 November 2006 Vertigo tour. Mexico city 360 tour May 14 and 15, 2011 (Last date May 15th were an attendance like 125, 000 people. Both concerts happened at Azteca Stadium) Josue Three Tour 2017, 24 Houston and 26 of May, Arlington. The best concert of two back then was in Houston.
😂😂 Back in the 80’s … They have been a big band from the 90’s .. 00’s onwards .. biggest Rock Band in the world 🌍… Hard to believe you don’t know their music .. 😀.. Like the Cranberries.. another great Irish ☘️ export
Oh you have so many amazing songs from this irish band - one of the biggest bands ever. And yeah, you are so right saying "-Can we go back!?" So right! They made music back then...thought through, melodies and fantastic energy! Cheers from Sweden.
Four songs on my fav U2 songs... Where the Streets Have No Name, Bad - Live at Live Aid, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and Love Comes to Town with U2 and BB King. That just is the tip of their iceberg. First time I saw them live was after their first hit came out called I Will Follow and they were the opening act for the J Geils Band.
U2 list of awesome songs is endless but i do recommend One, Pride, and Where The Streets Have No Name. They were huge during the 80's, 90's and 00's. Bono is a Top5 frontman of all time. I attended a U2 concert post 9/11 and its the BEST concert ever I went too. It still gives me goose bumps talking about it especially when they projected all the names of the fallen NYPD & NYFD.
Irish band big in the 80's and even bigger in the 90's. I was fortunate to have seen them in Madrid for the Joshua Tree concert in '87 when I was 15- an amazing experience. I would rate The Joshua Tree, (the album containing this song), as the best album of the 80's, imo. Be sure to check out Rattle and Hum as well as the rest of their catalog- lots to love.
I was in the US Army stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado. The album this song was on was "The Joshua Tree" and it came out in March of 1987. On May 20th, 1987, my first son was born. I named him Joshua...
U2 played at UMASS in March 1982, my senior year of undergrad, and they rocked the place. We were lucky and had some great musical acts during my four years. Allman Brothers, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Grateful Dead among others.
I was in high school when this album was released and although I was already a huge fan of U2, I was blown away by it. In my top 10 albums of all time...
First time seeing one of your video and love you being open minded. 'War' is an earlier album and defintely has more Irish influence, in sound and lyrical content. Strongly urge you to listen to 'Drowning Man'. Back in the day I had my U2 ride or die read part of these lyrics during my wedding ceremony. I wish my now ex-wife listened to U2 lyrics. 'With or Without You' was the last song to which we slow danced (at 2010 concert).
Data is nice but SPOCK! 🙌 U2 was the hugest band from the 80's to 2000's. Once I got into them.. They're Irish and are very into humanitarian aid. Try "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" which was inspired by MLK and "I Still Haven't Found what I Am Looking For You". ❤❤
I'm guessing i first saw the video on MTV (music TV) when this was released in 1987. I was 10 and several train stops away from NYC. In the upstate countryside. A time when kids used to play outside all day! Back then we could kick back and watch MTV to pass the time where all these great music videos you react to would be curated and played for us. Now, we have to search for it on our own which is not quite the same. I'm glad I got to witness this music come out in the moment rather than decades later. It was really awesome...!
U2 Joshua Tree album was HUGE! GLORIA was the song that introduced them in the early 80s..... Unforgettable Fire song and album...... BAD is a phenomenal song, written about an addict friend..... Beautiful Day also great.... Zoo TV and Achtung Baby albums 👍🏻👍🏻
Honey the 1960s, 1970s and, most of the 1980s had the greatest music of all time. Facts. Such a great reaction Sweetie. I am now a subscriber to your channel! Keep up the great work/reactions! 😊😊👍👍
If you liked the vibe of this tune, I would check out 1. Stay (far away so close), 2. Running to Stand Still, 3. One (Official video)/ You could also check their full set out at Live Aid. U2 have been my fav band since I was a kid. Big influence on me. They have a massive catalogue of tunes.
Nice reaction! I got a laugh when you said this sounds sweet. After a few versus you were like this sounds like a sad song. The change happen so quick lol...
This video is edited from a concert. He might have played the guitar on the previous song. U2 are from Dublin, Ireland. They are still together and making music. In my top 2 favorite bands. I've been following them for years.
I believe it is actually a video done as a live performance. It is from the Rattle & Hum movie. U2 explained why they did this "fake live performance" but I forget why.
I was A senior in high school and we were on a trip from Utah to So. California and we were cruising Huntington Beach in a new large motorhome with a CD player playing this album that was brand new, the sound is burned into my soul memory .
This song was on a soundtrack for a movie in 1994 Blown Away. Bono comes to Omaha Nebraska all time to see Warren Buffett he performed at one of Warren family members funeral one year.
I'm glad you can appreciate music like this. My favorite U2 songs are this one and "Pride (In the Name of Love)." Also, I bet you would really enjoy a song by Queensryche called "Silient Lucidity."
Bono, the vocalist, occasionally plays rhythm guitar while Edge plays lead guitar/piano. Mostly, Bono's job is a preeminent Front Man for one of the best bands on the planet, U2. He's also an incredible lyricist. Be sure to tune into the lyrics he sings. He gets deep. The next song you should check out is "Gloria", live from Red Rocks Amphitheater (in Denver), 1983! Check out anything from this concert video. You will be awestruck!
Great band and song. They're from Ireland. Btw, this is a perfect song to slow dance to. They were huge in the 80's and into the 90's then came back in the 2000's. They have many hits, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" "Desire" "The Unforgettable Fire" "Where The Streets Have No Name" " I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" to name a few. I highly suggest Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds "Bartender" live at Radio City Music Hall from a 2007 concert. It was sold out. I think you'll love that one.
It’s a unique and excellent rock ballad. The band hails from Dublin, Ireland. Been together for decades with no lineup changes. Many years ago I heard this song at a New Year’s Eve party. As soon as it began, the girls there started screaming. It’s also the only song I ever sang to a girl, in a lower range. The album this is off of is amazing. (And surprised you mentioned Lt. Data. My fave ST:TNG character, too, and used to watch that show with my family.)
I remember sitting on a beach in Maui, alone at night, listening to this song for the first time. Was such an unreal moment. Really wild considering I was alone just watching the shoreline.
Haha, I was probably still playing with Lego's or Nintendo when this song came out. Or terrorizing a babysitter somewhere. I am glad you get to enjoy U2- thank you for sharing your reaction and your good vibes!
Data is also my favourite ever Star Trek character. Loved your reaction! "i still haven't found what i'm looking for" and "Beautiful Day" would be my next suggestions for U2
This is a phenominal song by them. I hope everyone gets to go through a U2 musical phase in their life, and see what joy thier music brought and still brings to the world. I had to find this video of them from the 80's. I love this this song even more, but your choice was a fantastic introduction song to your ears. I love their vocals as much as their instrumental talent. He and others from the band are Irish. th-cam.com/video/GzZWSrr5wFI/w-d-xo.html (enjoy Mia). The main guitarist of U2 like Slash is to Guns and Roses, he is called The Edge.
Yeah the guitar was a prop Mia but he does actually know how to play the guitar and he’s very good at the harmonica too. Their lead guitarist “ the edge” plays with some of the greatest emotion you’ll ever see.
They filmed "where the streets have no name" on top of a liquor store in Los Angeles....totally shut down that intersection. Cops came n had to shut it down
Had this cassette on my Sony Walkman back in 88 and had the fortune of seeing them live in the Omni. What great memories and the Joshua Tree album as whole is great listening. No song is badd on that album
I was enjoying my last Spring and Summer before going off to Bootcamp. Good song, one played way too many times when I was overseas, losing the one I left behind. Deployments, always a good source for reason to play all these 80s ballads.
"One Tree Hill", close to home for me, one of my favs, "Pride", This song is not a Rebel Song! This song is! "Sunday BLOODY Sunday" also great, early on in U2s career! One! Joshua Tree is probably there opus not a weak track on there! I loved early U2 If you loved this song you will enjoys all these albums! October Under a Blood Red Sky Unforgettable Fire After Joshua Tre they went on a musical journey (Insert leprechaun voice here) Rattle & Hum! Have a read about Johsua Tree album here's an excerpt from that! Its only part of the story of the album, but it has many American and Irish links and I think you'd find it very informative about the music and the band, they broke some very unique rules musically and pretty much about everything they did when making the album and there journey touring the USA! Like impromptu setup on top of a building and a local radio station telling people over the air they were playing and shooting the video, apparently without permission, the video of that song is awesome, ya wont see that today either! One of the best bands ever, up until this era, many UK bands like U2 sung songs about issues at home and abroad songs had meaning, politically, love, past present and future, issues and current events! u2 covered it all. Re the Joshua Tree Album and esp the song "One Tree Hill".. Bono described 1986 as "an incredibly bad year" for him, which was reflected in the lyrics. His marriage was under strain, in part due to the album's long gestation period, the band were criticised by the Irish media for their involvement in Self Aid, and his personal assistant Greg Carroll was killed in a motorcycle accident. Bono said, "That's why the desert attracted me as an image. That year was really a desert for us. "With or Without You" was written while he was struggling to reconcile his wanderlust as a musician with his domestic responsibilities. "One Tree Hill", named after a volcanic peak in Carroll's native New Zealand, (Auckland, in Cornwall Park, been thee many times and walked in and out of the Volcano, its AKs second largest hill) the song describes how Bono felt at Carroll's funeral.) The album is dedicated to his memory. (not from the excerpt:: One Tree Hill and the Tree had meaning for all Kiwi's not just Maori, which is a mistaken issue in NZ, the tree was vandalized years ago as a protest and will always be a stain on our history, unfortunate some feel the need to destroy for protest, which does not heal the past or ensure the future of a maturity as a Nation, we are still very divided and growing as segregation for the few, again is reversed! Nothing can heal or ever grow and mature or unite a nation while Apartheid is promoted as indigenous ownership! No one came first there is no first!, you can go back to the beginning of time and fight over who was first every culture has taken form itself or from others its what humans do and always will, until we accept that we cannot unite and grow, all systems and nations have this issue, why war is so profitable and politicians divide us to conquer for political and financial gain and we fall for it every day) Peace out messages in every U2 song, deeper than you think first time listen is never enough, why having alums in your collection is important, not just playlists, you learn more every time you play them, which goes for many artists not just U2 but they definitely maybe not the first or the last pioneered that successfully through the 80s and beyond.. Enjoy the musical Journey of U2.
… I’ve been a huge, lifelong U2 fan! WOWY has always been ‘top self’ in U2’s catalog, no question. My three suggestions I think you’d vibe with, and enjoy hearing: 1. From their ‘War’ album, Surrender. 2. From Achtung Baby, Tryin’ to Throw Your Arms Around the World 3. From No Line On the Horizon, Magnificent. … an added bonus, lol! and a song that no one ever mentions, but for me, it’s my “all time favorite” U2 song, from The Unforgettable Fire album, Elvis Presley and America. Enjoy!!
Do “all I want is you/where the streets have no name” live from slane castle. Bono’s dad died a a couple days earlier and they still did the show in Ireland.
Data, from New generation is my favorite as well.. Brent in my opinion is a phenomenal actor. The way he gave data character is just absolutely out of this world
This was released in 1987, so I was a freshman in high school. I was probably playing Nintendo more than likely. For U2, I would recommend One, Pride (In the Name of Love), and Where the Streets Have No Name.
You should check out there performance of the song ‘Bad’ during the Live Aid concert when the whole world was watching- that performance shot them into super star status.
Great reaction and yes it was a definitely a different time for music and all the bands, I lived in ft Lauderdale FL and every week was a concert, but that wasn't even the best thing. Guys all with long hair, the ladies with the puffy hair, high schools all had future Rock stars, there was a line of storage units by the airport where every school night throughout the week the bands would practice it was a concert everyday of the week plus who you thought was a better band you go to to the house they were playing on Saturday, Friday was fot real bands like areosmith, foreigner, journey ,bad company, stixx, John cougar, Alice Cooper, Bob seger, AC/DC we were able to see these bands two or three times depending if you had 10 dollars the usual price for a ticket those were a different time,
There is quite some good music out there these days, you will only not find it in the US charts. The magical word is "sysmphonic metal" and its mostly from Europe. Bands like "Nightwish", "Epica", Within Temptation", "Ad Infinitum" and many more still create fantastic music these days. Oh also, in Japan there is a great metal scene, and since it seems you like good guitar solos also, you really should check out the band "Lovebites". Start maybe with a slower song like "Epilogue" since a part of the guitar solos there always reminds me of "Hotel California" what you also seem to have enjoyed a lot. Oh and let me add, i grew up with music like Queen, U2, Eagles and all that old stuff and also loved it of course.
U2 was an Irish rock band from the 1980’s. Many great songs listed in the comments to choose from to react to. The lead singer Bono is one of the best front men.
'Where the streets have no name' and 'Party girl'. I know they've got a lot of others but these are my favorites. And an off topic rec: Hoobastank - 'The reason' And yeah, when this came out (1987), I just finished high school.
Good question Mia. That's the year I graduated high school. It was probably the most fun, busy, and formative in my life. Doubt you want to know the details because it would take too long to read 😏
...hear this n think of a women from years ago. Definitely great love song but it's not unicorns n rainbows. Divides your mind yaknow. That agonizing love
I LOVE U2!!! LOVE YOUR REACTIONS. HERE ARE SOME MORE SONGS. AGAIN, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL 😊 - Every Breaking Wave (Acoustic Sessions) - Song for Someone - Beautiful Day - Pride (in the name of love) - Bullet the blue sky - Bad - Running to stand still - City of blinding lights Etc... You won't be disappointed 😊👍🎸🎙️🎼🎵🎶🥁🎵🎼
U2 are legends. Definitely check out "Pride (In the Name of Love)" what a great song! Also "Where the Streets Have No Name", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"
Great band, they do huge stadium shows that would blow you away, do the great tune, End of the World, live in Paris 2015, it is an immersive experience with incredible videos enhancing the banger of a Rocker! They have many great songs to react to, enjoy beautiful Mia. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥 I love Data from Star Trek, too. Worf is another I love...
U will fall in love with BONO if you listen to the cut, ' Promenade' off Unforgettable Fire album.............................please give it a taste and if u fall in love with BONO........................enjoy
I saw U2, The Joshua Tree, in concert back in college. They were amazing. The Joshua Tree is almost as good as Bat Out of Hell

I was working U2 JOSHUA TREE TOUR DEC 09TH AND 10TH 1986 SECURITY AT THE HAMPTON COLISEUM IN VIRGINIA
I was there! But it was 12/11 and 12/12 of 1987.

I grew up listening to 70's and 80's music. Im 57 now and that was a great time to be alive! 😁😎🤘
U2 was one of the bands that OWNED the 80's..... They are still producing relevant music and were the first band to open "The Sphere" in Las Vegas
In 1980 I was listening to a local radio station and they said first 25 people to show up at this music store would get a free cassette from them. And I was driving by at the moment. I have been a fan ever since

Thier concert at Red Rocks in Morison, Colorado is one of the best live performances I have ever.

U2's connection to New Zealand because of Greg Carroll will never be forgotten. Moe Moe Ra.

✌✌😊😊
😘😘
If you liked the vibe of this tune, I would check out 1. Stay (far away so close), 2. Running to Stand Still, 3. One (Official video)/ You could also check their full set out at Live Aid. U2 have been my fav band since I was a kid. Big influence on me. They have a massive catalogue of tunes.
I have never been a bigger ACDC fan than now
Lighting bolt.
Great Irish band , that and the song 0ne are 2 of my favourites .
Nice reaction! I got a laugh when you said this sounds sweet. After a few versus you were like this sounds like a sad song. The change happen so quick lol...
Love this song
One of my favorite U2 songs my very favorite U2 song is Beautiful Day
This video is edited from a concert.
Hey glad you came across them...great live performers. Check them out at slane castle in their native Ireland. Also helloooo from south Florida
I was A senior in high school and we were on a trip from Utah to So. California and we were cruising Huntington Beach in a new large motorhome with a CD player playing this album that was brand new, the sound is burned into my soul memory .
I was in college when this came out. My favorite U2 song is “New Years Day”.
This song was on a soundtrack for a movie in 1994 Blown Away. Bono comes to Omaha Nebraska all time to see Warren Buffett he performed at one of Warren family members funeral one year.
The lead singer's name is Bono Vox and they are Irish.
The unforgettable fire their most musical, melodic song
I'm glad you can appreciate music like this. My favorite U2 songs are this one and "Pride (In the Name of Love)." Also, I bet you would really enjoy a song by Queensryche called "Silient Lucidity."
My favorite song of U2's is Sunday Blood Sunday.
Music from 1964 (Beatles) to 1994 (End of Grunge) is solid gold my dear, there is much from each decade to blow your mind!
You will be awestruck!
lovely thrupenny bits!!!
You would love U2 “The Sweetest Thing”
I remember sitting on a beach in Maui, alone at night, listening to this song for the first time. Was such an unreal moment. Really wild considering I was alone just watching the shoreline.
Haha, I was probably still playing with Lego's or Nintendo when this song came out. Or terrorizing a babysitter somewhere. I am glad you get to enjoy U2- thank you for sharing your reaction and your good vibes!
U2- One
Great song
Joshua Tree would be in mosts top 20 albums of all time. Masterpiece
They filmed "where the streets have no name" on top of a liquor store in Los Angeles....totally shut down that intersection. Cops came n had to shut it down
They are from Northern Ireland. Where the streets have no names and Bloody Sunday are two of their songs
Dublin is in the South of Ireland😂
Had this cassette on my Sony Walkman back in 88 and had the fortune of seeing them live in the Omni. What great memories and the Joshua Tree album as whole is great listening. No song is badd on that album
The video of them playing "Where the Streets Have No Name" live in L.A. is amazing. recommended.
I was enjoying my last Spring and Summer before going off to Bootcamp. Good song, one played way too many times when I was overseas, losing the one I left behind. Deployments, always a good source for reason to play all these 80s ballads.
"One Tree Hill", close to home for me, one of my favs,
"Pride",
This song is not a Rebel Song! This song is! "Sunday BLOODY Sunday" also great, early on in U2s career!
One!
Joshua Tree is probably there opus not a weak track on there!
I loved early U2
If you loved this song you will enjoys all these albums!
October
Under a Blood Red Sky
Unforgettable Fire
After Joshua Tre they went on a musical journey (Insert leprechaun voice here)
Rattle & Hum!
Have a read about Johsua Tree album
here's an excerpt from that!
No one came first there is no first!, you can go back to the beginning of time and fight over who was first every culture has taken form itself or from others its what humans do and always will, until we accept that we cannot unite and grow, all systems and nations have this issue, why war is so profitable and politicians divide us to conquer for political and financial gain and we fall for it every day)
Peace out messages in every U2 song, deeper than you think first time listen is never enough, why having alums in your collection is important, not just playlists, you learn more every time you play them, which goes for many artists not just U2 but they definitely maybe not the first or the last pioneered that successfully through the 80s and beyond..
The way he gave data character is just absolutely out of this world
The music reflects the mindset of the generation.
Fantastic song. Diggin your AC/DC shirt!
Uncc4910, I have never heard a AC/DC song before but I am a big fan now
Elvis suspicious minds live Las Vegas 1970
This was released in 1987, so I was a freshman in high school. I was probably playing Nintendo more than likely. For U2, I would recommend One, Pride (In the Name of Love), and Where the Streets Have No Name.
You should check out there performance of the song ‘Bad’ during the Live Aid concert when the whole world was watching- that performance shot them into super star status.
the lead singer is bono and they are irish band
You really should watch U2 at Live Aid 1985 concert. You will get to see why they are so loved.
Biggest band on earth, please react u2 one, kite, stay berlin 1993
U2 was an Irish rock band from the 1980’s. Many great songs listed in the comments to choose from to react to. The lead singer Bono is one of the best front men.
I love this song and I love watching your reactions Mia
This song is #4 in my top ten list. The best version of this song is the Slane Castle Live. The whole Slane Castle concert is great.
Take 5 minutes and go watch with or without you live in Boston 2001. He pulls a girl on stage, as he often did during a couple songs and songs to her
This is, no joke, the greatest album, from the greatest band, of all time.
The Cure fans might disagree...........
'Where the streets have no name' and 'Party girl'. I know they've got a lot of others but these are my favorites.
And an off topic rec: Hoobastank - 'The reason'
And yeah, when this came out (1987), I just finished high school.
When this was released in 1987,Rolling Stone Magazine called it “Pure beauty in a time of pure shit”
You're right on, great band. What was I doing? Going to U2 concerts.

I love Data from Star Trek, too. Worf is another I love...
U will fall in love with BONO if you listen to the cut, ' Promenade' off Unforgettable Fire album.............................please give it a taste and if u fall in love with BONO........................enjoy
Lead singer Bono's original nickname was "bono vox" which is Latin for "good voice". It was later just shortened to Bono.
You pick the best songs! War and Joshua Tree, both great albums
I like the song two hearts beat as one. I also like stay (faraway, so close).
The Joshua Tree is one of the most seminal albums, not just of the 80’s, but ever
