Hi Sharon. Greetings from chilly Orangeville. Nice to find other Ontario crafters. I know this video is a bit older, but I got so much useful info. I've never had much luck using the cut aparts. Mostly they are saying something that I would never say or use. I loved the tip to block off certain areas and change them. Why not if it then makes themmuseful. I think I will now look at them in a whole new light. I loved the cards you made with them. Thanks so much. 😊
Card number three is my favorite you do wonderful work and you show us how to do it a little bit more economically than other ones do in the USA thank you so much
Amazing card ideas using up those large printed papers. They worked fantastic on the 5x7 cards. I will definitely be thinking outside the box when it comes to changing the way to change a prey written sentiment.
Wow, I never thought about hiding part of a sentiment and making it custom for yourself. Mind blown! My jaw literally hung open watching you. Love it!!
Ok i have to comment after the first card; HOLY MOLY! That butterfly card is gorgeous! The use of the dollar tree items is, as you know. RIGHT up my alley and so great! I have to get some of that black accent glue! Thank you so much for joining the hop...ok back to watching. P.S. you won't regret getting the Art Glitter Glue I promise! lol
Oh my goodness I feel giddy replying to a comment you made on my channel. After commenting on so many of your videos I’m pinching myself. “Mary Polanco likes my video!!!!!” WOW. You really were instrumental in me starting this video posting adventure. I’m having so much fun. Thank you for being you. You have a gift.
I just found your channel. I LOVE your cards. Found several golden nuggets to being incorporating into my cars making. Thank you for the inspiration and a view into how you see things/mentally process what is right in front of you. Subscribed
Ok, I’m only 3:33 into your video, but so far I love the butterfly card best. I always forget I can fussy cut out images from pattern paper. I’ll edit that comment after I watch the whole thing. 😂 Your DIY jewel picker is the best I’ve seen so far, imho. I love that you aren’t afraid to use items that aren’t the newest name brand release. I use a lot of 3D paint, too! Oh man! Favorite? I can’t decide. The “Dream Big” card is probably tied with the butterfly card. Thank you so much for participating and sharing your talents with us!
Thank you for your wonderful comments. Finding craft supplies in Canada is not always the easiest and our products can be as much as double the price in the US. I like to be able to follow the trends but it’s more rewarding for me to figure out ways to make my creations a bit thrifty. I hope I can help a few crafters to move from “I can’t afford to make that” to... I already have things like that so I’m going to “get creatin’”. After reading your comment I feel even more confident that I want to continue with that thread of content. Thanks again for watching and sharing Much appreciated😊
I think you have some brilliant ideas. I'm always daunted by those paper packs with those large sentiments so I'm glad you've figured out some work arounds. Thanks.
Sharon, kudos and thanks. Your video was shot well, narrated well, concise yet complete, and loaded with tips and tricks. I especially like the gem picker tip as those things are expensive! My favorite I think is the first with all the butterflies (I'm partial toward nature-inspired earthy cards). I really like how you dotted the wings with acrylic paint to add interest and texture. I wouldn't have thought to do that and it definitely added a nice touch to them. I've used packing foam sheets for paper quilting (learned from Michael Strong 15 years ago). It's cool, looks akin to mini tufted pillows, but in paper and make great embellies. I'm dying to know your 'baggie storage system' as I fussy cut stuff often and then am overrun by cluttered stuff. Card stock system - check. Dies system - check. Embossing folders system - check. etc. But oodles of fussy cut embellishments and paper piecing pieces- nope. Please share your secret.
Hi Anita thanks for wonderful input. As for my fussy cuts and die cuts too, I use the same style system as I use for my dies only I use cello bags. Load them up, add a label, and stand them up in a long 6”wide dollar store box. Well a couple boxes lol. Every once and a while I go for a rummage and put together some cool looking cards. I will have to look up the paper quilting technique you referenced. It sounds cool. I have a lot of quilters in my family. You wouldn’t remember the type of glue that was recommended for that would you? Thanks again for watching and commenting 💕
lovely cards, usimg glossy accents add so much to the cards, thanks for sharing cards using those pattern paper which i might not normally use,its hardto pick up a favorite but the butterfly one turned out beautiful, tfs
Maria you’re so sweet and supportive. I subscribed to your channel and want to go back to watch your other videos once things die down. Thank you for your kind words 💕
Sharon, I have this paper pack and thank you for all of your inspiration. I love it! My favorite card is the first one with all of the beautiful butterflies! But I love them all!!!
I just found this and fell in love! The ideas you have are great. I just bought 3 new pads of 12 X 12 and there are some similar cards inside. I had NO CLUE how to use them. I so appreciate your time and effort to do these videos for us.
Fabulous cards and great tips and techniques. I like your use of packing foam. New subscriber. My fave card is the first one with all of the butterflies.
Yay! A fellow Canadian cardmaker! Your cards were fantastic and holy tips! I have to try that homemade picker upper! Thank you so much for participating in the hop! I really enjoyed your video. Jenn xO
It’s a feat collecting together supplies in Canada. When I’m on holidays in the US I have to remind myself not to go crazy. I can’t imagine what an American craft show would be like to attend 😳🤩. You’re an inspiration to this little card making Canuck Thank you for the love and the opportunity. 💕
I used to throw the foam away by the bag full when I owned my business. Almost everything from Asia was wrapped in it. Is it plentiful where you are? I have to say I’m envious that the good adhesives are inexpensive where you are. Too bad about paper and punches🙁. Are dies a better price there? Some of the packaging and bags might be worth incorporating into your cards. Thanks for watching and commenting 💕
Having fun along the hop! I'm happy to be a subscriber! Great cards! I love the way you added the white and black embellishment to the butterflies! That is my favorite!
Sharon, hi. I am new to your fabulous channel. You are very creative and that results in fabulous card ideas which sparks my creative mind. TFS From Ottawa
oh Jo-Ann so nice to see a fellow Canadian. I hope you have some great craft stores up your way🤗🤗 our American friends can’t know what crafting in the great Canadian vastness is like…I think it makes us even more creative right?!?? Thank you for your sweet compliments 💕💕💕💕
Thanks Tracy it really means a lot to me to be able to share. I love creating. I love even more seeing others have the same joy. Your kind comments are greatly appreciated 💕
Thank you. If you have some tips on how I could step it up a notch it would be greatly appreciated. It’s hard to find crafty friends who are willing to be totally honest. I appreciate you watching and commenting 😉👍
@@SharonLuska You are doing well already but if you want more exposure, join me on my hop on 7th Sept - I'm accepting requests to join right now. The other thing is to be consistent in the number and timing of your videos, be it one a month or one a day. I would advise against giveaways - many people will sub just for that and then disappear and it will get expensive unless you have company sponsorship. Good luck - you have the talent, the rest is hard work and persistence!
This was an awesome video! I loved so much about it...your tips are super helpful and so ingenious! I loved the fact that you used supplies that you can get at most craft stores and you are funny and entertaining. New subbie looking forward to more videos :)
Great cards and lots of nice crafty hacks too! I subscribed 😊 Is that a Shih Tzu in your intro of your video? My first dog was a Shih Tzu. Miss her dearly! She was the best dog ever. Anyways, good luck with the hop!
I love your channel too💕 and subscribed. Hope you are seeing some good growth. . Ziggie is a shin tsunami. Lol had to leave that auto correct in😂. Yes a ShihTzu. I have two. Had two before that. Bless them they were also wonderful little guys. Broke my heart when their time was done. The love from these two has really glued my heart back together again tho. Thanks for watching and commenting 💕
Sharon Luska I subscribed to your channel too. Yes, it broke my heart when my girl passed as well. She took a piece of my heart with her. We have 2 cats and a dog now. We had 2 dogs, but one passed about 2yrs ago now and the other hasn't been the same since. Very aggressive towards other dogs. She is getting elderly too, so we will just let her live out her life and not get another dog while she is with us.
Enjoying the hop 3 yrs later. I didn't have enough internet to get videos back then. Love you channel. I'd love to see more.

Loved your ideas. I look at those pages normally and immediately think scrapbook . Maybe I can step out of my comfort zone now
Amazing card ideas using up those large printed papers. They worked fantastic on the 5x7 cards. I will definitely be thinking outside the box when it comes to changing the way to change a prey written sentiment.
You make me feel like pulling out my books now and making cards with paper I just took the way thank you

Can't believe I never thought of that packing foam trick! That is SUPER Awesome! I love the free spirit card the best!!

Like the grid inside Tonic stamper. Where can I get one? Enjoyed your ideas around use of existing text and blanking out, then embossing over. Cool.
Great ideas tfs
