- After a six month wait, we finally got our new 2022 #Toyota #Tundra. Since getting it, this was our first opportunity to take it up to our local mountains for an #offroad shakedown and share our first impressions.When we started this trip the sky was clear and blue; however, it ended with us wheeling through the rain and some mud puddles.

I waited a long time for my tundra too so i settled for army green limited 4x2 and now regret it ! Love the truck but i couldve waited for the 4x4

We have very similar trucks and similar situations. Yes Longo is great! We have one in Prosper, TX and they did a great job!

Oakland Toyota dose MSRP as well. I picked up my 2022 taco 39k Brand New out the door.
That is a fantastic deal! Some of the prices at some of the local dealerships down in our area are just ridiculous.

Hey, can we see you climb up into the bed? lol..... yep, no good bed access. A new redesign, and they missed so many must-haves for truck owners. Why does it have a huge drivetrain hump on the floor in the back passenger area?? F150's and Rams have flat floors for storing large items..... with no 'rocking' of objects over the hump. Too many to list here.... I wanted to like it, but will have to stick with the Ford F150.... which, for my first Ford vehicle ever is simply amazing.

Awesome truck, congrats! My family has been buying cars from Longo Toyota for over 30 years now. Longo Toyota is the best dealership I’ve ever bought a Toyota or Lexus from. I bought my first Toyota truck from them in 1998. I was hooked. I always went thru fleet sales. The salesman’s name was,”Clem”. Great guy. He has since retired. I’ve bought 6 vehicles from Longo Toyota & Longo Lexus. They always treated me right on price and customer service. Im glad to hear on this video that things haven’t changed.
Was the best car buying experience ever. They have a great team and set a standard for the industry. Nice to see that great customer service is something that they continue to stand by!
Awesome pickup . That display on those trucks look pretty impressive. Toyota does a wonderful job with their 4x4s. We owned a tundra back over 10 years ago. Was a great driving truck ! Look forward to all the cool trips you guys will be going on !

I really like the color. And I'm with you on the suspension, no sense in waiting on special add-ons. You're going to mod it how you want anyway. We have had a Tacoma, but never a Tundra so it's the biggest what if in our long lineage of trucks haha. We just needed more power at the time, F250s etc
It will be interesting on how long it takes to get parts. We are not in a rush though…Really enjoying the power.
Really enjoyed the so far review. On the fence right now about going from a 4runner to a Tundra
It is definitely a tough decision. It was hard for us too. The Runner is an amazing off road adventure vehicle. Our final decision was based on the long term.
The 4Runner was definitely superior on the trail, but We really like the Tundra for daily use

So are you guys going to get another Habitat for this new rig? We ordered one for our 2018 Power Wagon, with install slated for end of Oct.. Would like to hook up with you guys here in the SW. We're in Southern AZ.
The Habitat is an awesome topper and you will love it. We actually just sold ours to some friends. Have had some life priorities change at the moment and had to put a pause on our adventures. We hope to get back out again soon and love Southern AZ!

People are not diffrent rhea a dairy cow,the farm owners get you used to 5$ a gallon gas,5$ a pound ground beef,and paying msrp at a dealership,welcome to the new america
how do you like the new turbo engine compared to the old V8 so far?
Slight turbo lag, but that’s to be expected. The power and torque are amazing. It doesn’t even notice the 35s we put on. Not quite the gas mileage we were expecting and we miss the V8 sound but overall we are pretty happy with it so far.

@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD They’ve been running it in the Lexus LX for a few years, but time will tell how it compares to the V8.
The truck looks good. I'm with you with the annoying add-ons that dealerships install. Any plans on a camper like your Tacoma? Other owners say they're annoyed with all the safety sensor alarms. 16mpg ain't bad 🤙🏼
Finding MSRP was amazing. Not sure we would have purchased one if we didn’t. Previous vehicles we have been able to switch off…so far it hasn’t been an issue with us. Stay tuned for the 6-month review 😂 We have a big decision on whether we should put the SuperTourer on the Tacoma or the Tundra…we just did a walk around of it in our last video. Thoughts?
@@OpenRoad4Two yes I’ve watched that walk around video of the tourer. Years from now, we will be switching to mid or full size too. Leaning towards full size with a camper like that! Looks rad! ❤️

We did the Wescott Design Preload Collar Lift Kit and added the 35’s.

We loved our 4Runner! However, so far the Tundra is proving to be a great rig for us!
