      @diamonddave2622 Thanks for your comment and your tip. I have my umbrella with me, but I have had no issues with rain. One shower as I got to the KL Tower, but I just dodged it and by the time I was done, brilliant sunshine again.

    I take a power bank and a small desk fan with plastic blades, sometimes we rent an apartment and not all have aircon, but it's mainly for a flight, many times in the last 30 years have I been stuck on a very hot economy flight waiting for take take off and have felt physically sick, I've have seen a pensioner faint in his seat because of the heat, this small fan has saved me many times, I often get envious looks.

      Thanks for your comment, I've recently need to Singapore and booked a pod hotel, and I bought a battery operated fan there. I was so desperate that I just bought the first fan I found as the shops were all closing. It is excellent but perhaps a little big for travel and I've decided to make sure that, like you, I have a smaller fan on a plane in the future.

    +1 for compression packing cubes (recommend peak design), sun sticks, air tags and solid shampoo/conditioner! Don’t take a travel tin for it though; look at a matador soap bar case.

    • @mygreygapyear
      @mygreygapyear  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thanks for your comment, Peak design seems a bit expensive. They look good but is that their only advantage? Do they compress more than other cubes?
      Now the little pouch for bar soap, that could be a game changer.

    • @kevinmcauley3847
      @kevinmcauley3847 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@mygreygapyear they compress well, are well shaped/sized, are light and have these pull tabs on them which allow for easy rip-opening, without them accidentally coming open, which I personally find very convenient. I always travel HBO, usually in a backpack, and find they fit perfectly in order to maximise the space in the bag.
      My wife prefers a carry on suitcase to a backpack, and also likes the PD, but prefers the Tripped Travel Gear cubes, which she feels fit a suitcase design a little better.
      I also like packing cubes because I can just pull them out of my bag and put them directly in the drawer when I get to the hotel; no need to unpack the cube itself.

    The shampoo bars work really well if you're travelling carry on only. Last forever too.
