When James Scott met Scott Joplin for the first time, Joplin was so impressed by the young man that he got his own publisher, John Stark, to publish this rag. It was a big hit and is still popular today. Stark continued to publish James Scott's rags for many years afterwards. Published by Stark Music Co. in St. Louis and New York in 1906.
