    You are so sensitive to music- it makes a very noticeable impact to the listener with every composition you create here. Your sensibilities are a thing apart from all others. It's a great reminder to remain keen on the possibilities beyond the usual no matter what library is up at bat. Thanks for providing that reminder in a remarkable demonstration of sound, feel, and sensibility. Personally, I think you nailed it!

    Also working with dialogue is key.. So many trailers I hear are quickly mixed and ramped up and down with sound effects with very little thought to music like here. I try to craft all of it here with a musical sense as Homay does here well. Telling the story is now a lost art of craft with todays trailers in my humble opinion, as it is a fair amount in composition in general. Nice work Homay! BTW I have purchased Stratus. A big fan of all of Olafur Arnalds libraries! Need to spend time on it after the weekend as I was jammed.

    Homay! Great video. The Easter Island drum that slightly emulates the train tracks in the beginning was brilliant! Also, I especially like the RAM (Random Access Memory) sounds that match very well with the symbols and other elements in the piece. I also noticed that you have the strings swells match up perfectly with the waves. When the "Two Organic Piano" text comes on screen I did feel like the pianos were not the focus. So, I would have changed that part. Towards the end I love the change from storm weather to the brighter sun-drenched sky full or orange hues. The ending fade over top the Spitfire Audio felt very natural.
    Thank you for the lesson!

    This composition is very nice, it would be a breath of fresh air to hear something like this in a trailer, as opposed to the generic percussion hits interspliced with action shots and explosions all accelerating to a big crescendo, then fading to black. Then when it fades back up, the hero character says a "cool" line, then another percussion hit as the title comes up. Ooh, how exciting, never seen a trailer like that before have we....

    The Olafur Arnold's Stratus Trailer software allows you to view your recordings like a single button, combine the sequences into a matrix, and reconnect them as needed. Is Piano the only sound source? What are the other sound sources? Is the synthesizer sound source included? Do you have strings? Is AlbionOne the only sound effect sound orchestra? If these two are aligned, I feel that everything is possible. Please tell me what is used.

  • @rousejeremy

    Nobody tells on you tube tutorials or advertisings the fact that everybody have to study music first.But the world is at that point now, have good machines and no worries about being creative or original.

    • @malikcampbell4758
      @malikcampbell4758 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @mikealves3858
      @mikealves3858 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      And what’s the problem? Isn’t it taste part of creativity? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve studied music myself but still, in the end of the day, theory is not all to it, is it? (It helps a lot but imagine if rules weren’t broken, even by mistake, we would never know what’s beyond would we?)

    • @Superdelphinus
      @Superdelphinus 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you need to know enough to be able to transfer what’s in your head to a piece of music, but not enough that you then change things to make them theoretically perfect - that’s when the soul and creativity starts to get lost.
