I set that base aside and proceeded to work on Ginger Beard. LOVE that soft serve hat! I just finished him and am now working on the other. Can't wait to share in the group. Great tip on how to smush the gnome body down, or up, the chenille stem and then cut it off. I can't wait to try this. It will make it easier to felt the bottom of any project that uses one. 😊

I entered my grandkids crafts in the county fair while you were live today. So glad I can watch it now. Interesting note, I taught my 7 and 8 year old grandkids how to wet felt this week and they said it was more fun than video games. That is a huge complement! They will be homeschooled this year and I will be teaching them art, PE and music so I expect they will become expert felters by the end of the year. I love having them enjoy what I love.
Usually it breaks my heart to see Summer end, but I'm so excited to start Fall felting projects, pumpkins, witches, autumn leaves, maybe Priscilla and John pilgrim Waldorf dolls! And what better way to start than a Ginger Gnome?! I loved the soft serve ice cream technique for making the slouchy folds in the hat. The leaf applique is the perfect touch!

I was so involved in my 2d mushroom picture that I almost forgot about Wooly Wed. I caught the last 15 minutes. The Solar bee looks very cool, but I need to go watch the recording as Devon told me it works for 2d also and that you, Marie demo'd that. Mushrooms are done and will post a picture once I frame it. I loved doing them.
Oh I'm so ready for Fall my favorite time of the year. Sculpting the hat is so adorable can't wait to try making one of these. Thanks for the fun tutorial always a great hour + that I look forward to every week. Take care all!
