Val get the knee replacement surgery!! You’ll not regret it!! I waited 20 years to get mine done because I was scared, stubborn, alone and just couldn’t admit that I needed it done. It got to the point where Cortizone shots were doing nothing, laying in bed, crying my eyes out day after day! I’m 16 months post op and wish to God I never waited that long. I’m currently waiting for my surgery date for my other knee. No way am I waiting again!
Hi Valerie. It always amazes me how nice you keep your home though construction is going on. Love when you show milo and the puppies. What a joy to see that they are loved and well taken care of. Gods creatures. I was going to suggest to use some better support shoes. I know sandals are confortable but i can tell you from my own experience . I have surgery on my knees and spine. I find that crocks work good and give better support. I hope you don’t mind the suggestion. From one to another friend. I know that sandals in long time can also cause back issues. Blessings to you and your family. Hugs❤\
Valerie, your videos give such a sense of joy and tranquility. I honestly think you could sell videos of the beautiful view, scenery and the stream. They are as soothing as medicine, and somehow force me to sit for a few minutes and just enjoy it! Thank you!
Valerie, when you said you did 15 loads of laundry in a week, the normal reaction would be, wow thats alot of clothes. My reaction was, wow what am i doing wrong? I do 7 loads of clothes a week at home, and its only my husband and myself lol. Great video!
I can't stop commenting. I love the idea of the glass heart. I had granite counters put 3 yrs ago and have struggled to find something to put my soap dispensers on. We have very hard water and I keep a dispenser filled with 50-50 vinegar and blue dish soap. I wash my stainless sink every night with the mixture and not one water spot can be found. The vinegar cuts down on the calcium deposits and the blue dish soap does the rest . I use Sam's Members Only.
Ive had both of my knees replaced. I dont regret it at all. Knee pain is no fun. Love watching your videos. Im watching from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia!
Hi Valerie. My name is Tammy. I've been subscribed to your channel now for about 2 months. I've learned one thing for sure since watching your show, you have some of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen!!! I love your videos. I hope your knee feels better soon. ❤
Hi Valerie I had my knee replaced in March. The one thing I recommend is to strengthen your non-surgical leg first with PT. It made all the difference. After 8 weeks I was back at work at the hospital.
Valerie, I feel your knee pain. I get cortisone shots every 4-8 months in each knee. I shredded the meniscus in my right knee about 7 years ago. I thought I could just walk it off, and in time it wasn't so painful, but I went in for pt about 4 years ago and the lady reinjured my knee. In Jan 2023, I had surgery. It made the pain better for awhile, but not long enough. I will have to have my knee replaced, as well. Next Monday I go see my orthopedic doc, who will give me a referral to a podiatrist. It's all connected. ❤ Lots of love to you and the family.
Valerie I had knee replacement in February and it was the best decision I have made. I had reached my limit on getting shots in my knee and I could hardly walk. I do not have any pain or trouble walking now. Something to think about.
I'm just lounging on the couch wstching one of my favorite TH-cam vloggers making a bed and thinking, "Gosh, that is a pretty quilt. I' m glad she has so many. This one is my favorites so far." Then you announced you just bought a new one. I laughed so hard. Val, you made my day. Also, silverware is like socks, something always eats them.
Even though your home is a work in progress, with a construction zone at times, it is so nice to see how you make it a cozy and comfortable place for your family to live. It is so easy to see how much that you love and care for Tim, the boys, and Granny. Thank you for your content. I have been a fan since the backyard/patio cleanup at your townhouse. Your channel has grown since then. ❤❤
Hello Val and Tim and fur babies. I had such pain in my knees, got shots also. Bone on bone but got through it and now no pain. You are a hard working women. Tks for video and cooking for us, sure looks good. Much love.....
Hi Val, I’m a fairly new subscriber, and I just have to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. I’m catching up with the older ones also. I think you are an excellent cook and baker and I love to see you bring such joy to your family and your TH-cam family with your wonderful recipes. When you’re doing your chores, you encourage me to do mine and it makes me happy to have a clean home. Even though I don’t have much, I feel blessed. God bless you and may he keep you free from the pain that you’ve been experiencing in your legs. Stay well, my friend❤
I've just had my knee replacement Valerie it's wonderful and now waiting for other knee to be done I can't wait to start living again love go get it done xx
I've heard nothing but good things about knee and hip replacement, I hope to get hip replacement in December or January everyone that I talk to says it's the best thing they have done.
Milo is such a pretty cat - snow white and butter yellow; Max has the most dreamy eyes and silky ears, and little Willow with her airplane tail and sweet face. They are such wonderful fur babies and I really enjoy seeing them. You work so hard Valerie it's no wonder your ankle and knee give you such a fit. I love the quilts you select. The new one is lovely but my favorite is the one you just took off. Hope you have your eye on a pretty one for Christmastime. The outfit you have today (peach Bermudas and a flowered top) is so flattering to you! Great color. Dinner sounds good so I'll enjoy watching you make it. Now I have to try your French Onion soup - have not made that for years. Sounds so good now that the weather is cooler. Thanks for a wonderful video. And, please put your feet up and enjoy your beautiful woodland scenery! God Bless.
Love your videos and you are such a good cook. We’ve been building and living in an old house not in construction zone and dust and wood get everywhere. You may need a big laundry room since you are such a good homemaker. Granny is blessed to be with y’all ❤
I really like your new quilt! I am very sorry to hear about your knee and ankle. I struggle with arthritis myself weather changes can really play a number on me. As always I so look forward to sitting down with a nice hot cup of coffee watching one of your videos.
Valarie, I love quilts too. I’m sorry you have been down with your knee and your ankle. I have RA so I have been taking injections every two weeks for a very long time. I love your videos. You and Tim live in a beautiful place.
I'm 54 years old and just had my total knee replacement 9 days ago. Well worth it. A year ago I got a cortisone injection in the same knee and ended up with septis and on IV antibiotics for 13 weeks. This knee replacement was a breeze compared to that infection.
I am age 69 and had knee replacement 5 months ago. My knee was so painful before surgery that we had to cancel our vacation. The surgery went way better than I imagined. I am happy I had it. I love the outfit you have on today.
Valerie I had both my knees replaced, has to wait 5 yrs to get them done cause of insur companies n buy thar time I was walking bone on bone with both knees. I felt I was in a nightmare. But their both done now n it's amazing. Recovery was faster then the docs had predicted also.
My late aunt didn't have a garbage disposal, and the plates were cleaned over the trash can. She always counted her silverware when she did dishes before the trash went out. I guess she found a piece or two that were accidentally tossed. I just thought that I would share, so maybe the silverware doesn't walk away.
Hello Valerie!!! Enjoyed your video today!!! Another beautiful quilt. I love quilts and have them on all the beds in my house!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with for your Christmas quilt!!! I buy my quilts from Allysons Place online!! I wait until their on sale then I purchase them!!I I'm glad your knee and ankle are better!!! Your meal looked delicious!!! And of course the pups are always adorable!!! And sweet Milo too!!! Until you're next one take care and God bless 😊❤
Hi, I'm a retired nurse as you are, and I put off having my knees replaced for many years. I finally had them both done six months apart in the past year and a half. I wish now that I had not put it off for so long. I suffered for a long time that I did not need to because I was afraid to have the surgery. It was not a walk in the park by any means, but it was not nearly as bad as I had expected it to be. You probably should consider having it done soon after you get done with your home. Good luck and best wishes on both.
Hi Valarie I hope you are feeling better with the bad knee. I have had three surgeries on my knees and now I’m recovering from my second hip surgery. I like the soup recipe and I may try to make it. Take care see you all next time.❤😊
i am an arthritis sufferer too. i went on i move tablets, and feel so much better. they are from the people who make you move for pets. i have gone from hardly being able to walk upstairs to walking a field with the dog. by the way your pets are adorable and i love your videos.
I got cortizone shots for several years before i had total knee replacement. Don't let no one talk you into it. You will know when the time is right. I'm glad i had mine. But, i miss being able to get down on my knees on the floor.
I have had glass tops and canned on mine for the last 26 years, I just got done canning beef and chicken in my canners and water bathing tomato products for the last month, I heard that to but others I talked to said the did canning on there glass tops so I started and never have had problems!
I had my left knee replaced in January 2023. Best thing I’ve done. I had no problems at all. First couple of weeks are rough but after that each day got better. PT was sort of tough but it really helps you get over the surgery quicker. Now I need my right knee done. Just trying to find a good time to do it. Don’t wait too long to have your surgery.
I love seeing sweet little Milo!🐾 He's so precious. Your new quilt is my favorite by far. Reminds me of Fall🍁 I too have really bad arthritis in my arms and hands. But today you've inspired me to clean! Love all your videos!
Your dinner looks delicious! And your new quilt is beautiful. I addicted to quilts too, only I love making them. I also wanted to tell you that I had a glass top stove for about 15 years, and I canned on it the whole time. I also used cast iron pans on it as well. I never had any problems with it. It was a Kenmore brand. And like you I do a lot of cooking.
Max, Willow, and Milo are so stinken cute!!! Hope the pain from your arthritis eases up. Your dinner looks so delicious!! I love your new quilt set. Have a good Week.
I have my right knee totally knee replacement 6 years and getting ready sometime in October getting my left knee done .love your new quilt it’s beautiful
Love your peaceful videos, Milo, the dogs..I have to have a baby gate at my steps cause my dogs have to go on the porch with me, they whine so much for me. I know how much those shots hurt...they put them in my hands when they draw up, I cry like a baby, fealt like they would bust!! It helps in the long run..but good gravy that hurts! My fibromyalgia doesn't like fall at all! I love it, the temps, the leaves...but comes with pain, and a wheelchair at times...but we still have to push through it!!❤
Valerie l love love your new quilt glad your knee and ankle are feeling better love watching you clean and cook Tim is such a wonderful man another great video
Just wanted to say my hubby had a knee replacement approx five years ago and is currently recovering from the other knee replacement done a couple weeks ago. Big difference between the two. He was a long time recovering from the first one but this time is doing great. He is already walking without even a cane. I am amazed. Don’t wait. It is so worth it!
Oh Valerie, I am praying for your pain, I know it all too well. I had cortisone shots in my foot and I cried out too. It hurt so bad, and I have had 4-foot surgeries, so I know arthritis pain. I was looking at your beautiful porch and the view oh my. I just love your videos you are so sweet. God bless yall
Hi Valerie. It’s starting to look so pretty and fallish in your neck of the woods! We’ve been under a drought here in Indiana and it finally started raining yesterday. Everything looks sad and crispy here. I’m so sorry you’re struggling with knee pain. My grandmother got those shots on her knees and it helped a lot. It definitely depends on who gives it as to how much the shots hurt! I hope your shots give you some good and long lasting relief!
That French onion soup looked 😋 delicious . I love it. You probably need to get your floors all done before you get the knee replacement. I've had both of mine replaced, three years apart. The first weeks are tough but well worth it in the long run. Arthritis is so cruel. I would not wish it on anyone. Take care and see you next time😊
Valerie, I am really sorry about your knee and ankle. I have arthritis really bad and take a shot to help with the pain and stiffness. I fell and busted my left knee and it was a mess as was I. The orthopedic surgeon glued my kneecap back together. I did physical therapy for almost a year. The PT helped and I still do many of the exercises to this day. I did ask the surgeon why he didn’t just replace my knee and he said it’s best not to if it can be avoided. I will admit I have pain everyday but have learned to live with it. I love your new quilt it is gorgeous. Valerie, you have a gift from decorating and organization. I love all your videos and the fresh flowers..take care and God Bless you and yours. Love love 💗 💕 ❤️ the fur babies..hugs Betty..have a beautiful week.
Valerie I have authority's too. My hip hands knees girl it hurts and the cortisone shots do hurt the worst place I've had them are my heels not much meat there either I have bone spures . We just have to push along and do the best we can don't we .Hope your knees start feeling better soon. ❤
Hey Val , maybe look into a propane stove , that way you could do canning that you would like to do, I think Becky from acre homestead on TH-cam has a propane stove in her kitchen and she is also great to watch to learn about canning and all kinds of food preservation and does some really good dinner ideas,
I got Cortizone shots a couple of months ago in my wrist because I have tendinitis that hurt it. I was biting my lip in pain. I’ve done the Cortizone shots in the knees too.
That little Willow girl is so cute on the bed. I just love your pets. My cat Callie when I tell her , her boy friend is here she comes up and looks and then gives a soft meow purr. I think she likes him. Lol
This is the first time watching your channel. I feel for you with your knee! Any kind of pain is terrible. But, you seem to persevere! Enjoyed watching today! Will be a subscriber!
You could buy a gas range (most new ranges come with the parts to change from natural gas to propane) when you reno the kitchen and have two 20 or 30-pound propane tanks outside, with a switch and regulator, then run the hose through the wall to connect to the stove. I did that with mine, since I don't care for electric ranges and that's what the house I bought came with. It's also helpful during a power outage, because all you have to do is start the burners/oven with a match. I couldn't find any new gas ranges that didn't have electric starters.
Well I’m glad you feeling better because I love your TH-cam. You hit a home run with that meal I love onion soup. Plus your new quilt is beautiful you have great taste in quilts. I love quilts which is my shopping downfall, if I love I will buy it. You & your husband are a great inspiration. You are to me. I do more things around the house & enjoy it. God Bless you all❤
Oh dear I know what you mean about the silverware lol, mine seems to grow legs and walk right out the door. I recently had to replace mine as well. I pray your knee and ankle feel better soon. I also suffer with knee, leg, and hip pain and it’s no fun at all. Thank you for another great video. God bless you all.❤
i feel you with your knee i have artheritis in my knees and my back my back hurts all the time i have good days and bad days with it doc says its just old age im 67
Hi Valerie! I'd love to encourage you about the stove. I have a glass top stove (have had for many years). I can and preserve all the time with it. They say you can't do it, but they're just wrong :)
Hi valarie, I am just over my 2nd knee replacement, and I don't know myself what helped me the most before and after surgery is swimming you won't know yourself sorry you are in such pain I love your channel ❤️
Val get the knee replacement surgery!! You’ll not regret it!! I waited 20 years to get mine done because I was scared, stubborn, alone and just couldn’t admit that I needed it done. Thank you for the good info. Thankfully, the cortisone shot has helped so far. I'm doing much better. 🤗
@@AtHomeWithWillowBerry so glad to hear the shot worked. Arthritis is no joke!
I agree with this. The shot only covers it up and can cause more damage. My mother in law finally had both hers done and what a difference it made.
All Cortizone shots do is dry up the meniscus and then you’re left with bone on bone.
@@sandramiller8183 yes!!!!! This is what happened to my mother in law. Her leg’s were so swollen from it
Hugs❤\
I love all the quilts you own and that you interchange them regularly. But I have to say, this is my favorite one so far. :)
Valerie, you are Suzie Homemader and Tim, Mr Fix it. Together you are such a great team ❤
VAL! you deserve EVERY quilt you have!🧡
Valerie, your videos give such a sense of joy and tranquility.
Same here
Your quilts are absolutely beautiful I am a big quilt lover myself love watching your videos…
I truly enjoy your videos, Valerie! You have such a beautiful property and I am enjoying the renovation process!
Valerie, Prayer to yall for up coming storms that Helena will bring..Keep safe..
Prayers to all that are in its path, direct, outer areas..🙏🏼🌧🌩🌪🌬❤❤
🙏❤️
You bless our lives and bring us happiness

Willow is so precious lying on that bed, flopping around wanting her pets, and loving!❤😊
Hi Valerie and Tim. Love your new quilt. Hope you feel better from your knee. Oh look at little Willow. She captures my heart everytime I see her.

I got cortizone shots for several years before i had total knee replacement. Don't let no one talk you into it. You will know when the time is right. I'm glad i had mine. But, i miss being able to get down on my knees on the floor.

Willow is so adorable ❤
Oh Valerie, I am praying for your pain, I know it all too well. I had cortisone shots in my foot and I cried out too. It hurt so bad, and I have had 4-foot surgeries, so I know arthritis pain. I was looking at your beautiful porch and the view oh my. I just love your videos you are so sweet. God bless yall
Look forward to seeing your vlogs you cook delicious meals and have some pretty quits…hope your knee is better have a great week
Val, I love your quilts! You inspired me to get one and I love it! I got it from Amazon and it’s so soft and light weight. The price was good, too.
Ouch, that sounds painful. I hope you get some relief with the shots. So far, it's worked good for me. 🤗
Val,i love the pretty quilt..so cute❤.pups like it too😂.
Valerie I have authority's too. My hip hands knees girl it hurts and the cortisone shots do hurt the worst place I've had them are my heels not much meat there either I have bone spures . We just have to push along and do the best we can don't we .Hope your knees start feeling better soon. ❤
I hope your knee gets better Valerie and it was a beautiful video.
Your quilts are beautiful. The dinner, you made looks delicious.
Valerie, think about getting your knee replaced as soon as you can. Youll be better by the spring n get lots done easier.
Hey Val , maybe look into a propane stove , that way you could do canning that you would like to do, I think Becky from acre homestead on TH-cam has a propane stove in her kitchen and she is also great to watch to learn about canning and all kinds of food preservation and does some really good dinner ideas,
Praying for all of you. God bless.
I love French onion soup! Looks like you out did yourself with dinner! Now I want some 😊
I got Cortizone shots a couple of months ago in my wrist because I have tendinitis that hurt it.
Lol
I love your new quilt. I looked for it on Amazon here in England and was astonished to see that it cost £260 here, that would be $340. 😱
Wow, that's a big difference. 🙀

Hi Valerie! I'd love to encourage you about the stove. I have a glass top stove (have had for many years). I can and preserve all the time with it. They say you can't do it, but they're just wrong :)
