Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I was debating between this case and the one made by Odyssey, but after watching this I know I’m going with the Pro X
Hey Terry, I just bought what looks to be identical to this case from DJKit in UK but it was under label of UDG Ultimate DDJ1000 flight case. I am currently in the middle of mods which provide the following ... Mains filter and surge protected connection block, Booth, Master and Mic connections brought to outside of case with panel sockets, portable hard drive, powered USB hub, WiFi router (which routes onto my personal hotspot on my phone but could route to the venue WiFi), power bricks for Windows laptop and MacBook, Radio Mic receiver, soundswitch interface (with dmx panel socket on outside) and charging ports for phones / pads.. All powered by a heavy duty neutrix cable plugging into a panel socket on the outside of the case and IT ALL FITS. I love this case, looking forward to shorter setup and teardown. Love your videos, helping me a lot, thanks a million.
Customized my ProX case (use it for my Rane One).. I added two XLR connectors to the case itself, 8 plug conditioner, 6 plug surge protector & wireless mic receiver.. the case is heavy but the wheels make it super convenient.. I took the slide off because I use the Fastset Table and laptop stands.. great product, great review 👍🏾
Thanks much brother for the recommendation on purchasing the Pro-X flight road case. Got one for Christmas 🎄 for my DDJ 1000srt and it is everything you said it would be!! I will definitely be checking out more of your videos for other DJ products 🎧🎤👍
Great customer service is a differentiator and warrants a shout out. Good for you and thanks for the video. I usually go with Road Ready cases but will give these cases a try.
I already bought the Gold and black ProX case and now my head is zzzzzz. I can not take it back because I threw away the packaging. Thanks for the tips always Professor Cleveland.😀
I was using custom cases over the years and was going to do the same for my DDJ SX1000, but decided to check online and also found the ProX. I went with the non-slider, as I use a laptop stand which I think looks neater, and went with the all black (will watch out for scratches), and I absolutely love it! It’s fairly compact considering I can place a power bar at the back, and underneath, my cordless mic box, my mic, an extension cord. I could probably fit my headphones there too. The handles are strong and well placed for lifting, but the wheels work great for walking. The black looks stealthy, clean and professional, but if you do notice it, I believe it looks sharp and sleek.
Great video - was going to upgrade my DDJ-Sx2 to a DDJ1000SRT then the Rev 7 Came out and I’m Torn Between them. Love the cases because the microphones fit under the Mixer - got to get one of these cases.
thank you...was deciding between the odyssey and the Pro X. After this video I am going with the Pro X, after having 2 Odyssey cases (SX2 and an old NS7)
Hey thanks for the review! I’ve been a stickler for Pro X cases since I had purchased my first one several years ago for my Pioneer XDJ-R1 unit. I haven’t had any issues with any of the Pro X cases I’ve scored and sure they add a bit of weight but I’d rather have the great protection they provide for my gear. I’ve just recently got my DDJ SX2 going and have gone with this model in your review and can’t wait for my next gig. Peace out! ;)
Hey Terry super informative video again. Working on a project and looking for a similar. Would an SX2 fit on a DDJ 1000 case or or is it a deeper consol? I’m after a de that the SX2 would fit in with space underneath like in the one 1U perhaps! Thanks
Solid review bro.... This was the very first case I purchased, and I hit it out the park! Love my Pro X. I have one for my Ns6 II. It is extremely durable. I had one issue one screw came off my sliding tray for my laptop.it still holds my laptop. I just been sliding on one side lol.. I was gonna replace myself. But now after this Vid I'll call customer service 😄 Top of the line case for sure with lots of storage space 💯
I love prox cases. I'll need to buy one for my 1000.. currently using the denon mcx8000 case which fits about I wouldn't mind a small one. Thanks for the content man! I'll def scoop one of these up
I got 2 of the ProX cases but not the slider ones. I have two DDJ1000's and I got them in black but I will be extra careful as you mentioned the paint can strip. Thus far they are great and Ive ordered a matching DJ fold out table made my UDG. Only his with me is I'm in New Zealand so most of these things are ordered internationally.
The Odyssey is bigger and heavier than the ProX for the DDJ1000. I was shopping too before I bought mine. Have a silver version for DDJ1000 and black version for my Denon MC7000. Djay on the iPad can now work with a controller and hook up to the 2nd usb connection of your controller. Just need an Apple usb camera adapter for the iPad. Much better control on the MC7000 versus DDJ1000 but can be a good backup option if your computer craps out. Probably good results with your SX. Try it out.
Here is Mojaxx mixing with an iPad, and can be hooked up ready to go on the extra space of the ProX slide shelf. th-cam.com/video/9PP9C5TVfww/w-d-xo.html
I purchased a Gator case for mine and I’m super happy with it. The model number is G-TOURDSPDDJ1000. I prefer the way my laptop platform springs up vs the Pro X and Oddessey style where it slides. I’ve seen too many get stuck and create a lot of problems. There is no sharp edges on mine.
Great Video. One question. When you are using the controller do you set it up with the top cover of the case underneath to get some height? Or the case go straight on the table?
I ran with a cloth and some food grade grease on the rails, never gets hard to slide. Very thin film is all you need dont glob it on just a tip that worked for me😁
I have the same one but mine came with an led light bar under the slide tray. The remote for the light doesn’t work. Went back to idjnow and they tried there case with the same light. Remote didn’t work either. Emailed pro-x about the issue. Never got a response. Emailed again. No response. Tomorrow I will call!
Cases are always expensive, especially after dropping doe on a controller, but they are a NECESSITY.. my last 3 controllers, i was able to find used cases online to save some money.. pro x and odyssey's
How do you like that Phenix Wireless Mic? I have a GTD Audio (thats been running strong for 6 yrs btw) im looking to replace with something new but inexpensive.
I have Odyssey black case for my Pioneer DDJ-SZ. It has laptop tray and keyboard tray the bottom. Couple issues the wheels are on the side bottom. It has the tendency the wheels fall off. Loose screws. I put in locks and they break over time. So i bring my Phillips screwdriver all times. After a while the screws don't work with Phillips screwdriver. Now i used flat screwdriver. It was poor design. Don't know why Odyssey did that. Most their cases have wheels inside a little. Also if u put a monitor on the laptop tray it will warp it little. Due the weight. It had a hard time to slide past the Serato 3 effects are. So i tap the tray the bottom hand each side lol. Be cool the tray was electric lol I like the 19'' monitor easy on the eyes. Less squinting i guess lol.
It’s a nice case but I’m all done with sliders. Debris, gunk, and the evils of time ALWAYS make them difficult to use. The Gator case, while expensive, has a scissor lift mechanism that I expect will hold up better over said evils of time. My 2 cents.
I watch all your videos. I'm a hobby/slash mobile DJ. I pretty much do it when I feel like it but I love new information even when I'm just be a family guy. I hope going into 2020 I will see more videos from you. I know you're busy but I pay attention to the way you move. Respect.
@Cleveland Terry Bowens Can you or anyone recommend a macbook pro w the minimal specs to run rekord box? It's all i'm going to be using it for, thanks!
@@GabrielMenasheprox kinda got more interested in Gator DSP Tour cases. Unfortunately, they don't make one for my 505 but, the small universal one they have may work but, the one they make with wheels for the 808 is cheaper. Their DSP laptop shelf is far better than the common sliding ones.
nobody especially guests, care about if the road case has scratches. I personally pull the controller, CDJ or mixer out of them and put them on top of the case. It provides a higher vision and access to the hardware. th-cam.com/video/rfkr8Z20VTU/w-d-xo.html

Love the rack space underneath. Perfect for storing stuff, cell phone, cables etc. will buy this once I get my 1000SRT
I have ALL Pro X cases. they are the best. I have one for my DDj-SX, DDJ-SZ2, Pioneer S9 Mixer and 2 for my technics 1200 tables. #TeamProX

Great review @ClevelandTerry 👍
I like it I have the same exact one with the 1000 but I’m downgrading to the 800 I’m done carrying heaving stuff. Minimal, lighter & smaller.

Still loving the Pro X case over Odyssey?

Sam is the owner! Real cool brother!
omg I literally just bought this before you uploaded. I traded in the one without a laptop tray in exchange for this
that's what i'm about to do, was it a good idea?
@@JakeFromStatefarm00 yes I actually installed a 1U rack drawer underneath and xlr ports to the outside. The sliding shelf is great
Is the laptop tray removable? If you can let me know that would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning of getting this case

I own one of these Pro X cases the heavy duty one really great cases to be honest bro
Do they make a version of this without the wheels and the slide out tray? That will cut down on the weight and plus I already use a laptop stand.
