I know I’m late to the game in just discovering your podcasts. You’re absolutely my favorite knitter-quick, witty, with a little bit of sass. I lead a boring life, but most knit podcasts are so boring. Yours are packed with content, humor and lots of fun!! ❤
I started watching your journey about 5-6 weeks ago. Then I kind of jumped around and now I'm starting at the beginning. I have 2 sweaters started and the pattern and yarn to knit a sweater for my Hub.
I vote for the thrummed mittens I made myself a pair when I lived in Northern Maine and they are indeed very warm. Himself will love them! And they will a quick knit.
You popped up on my TH-cam thread with the money episode and why you will never do it again. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately subscribed. I think all of your projects are just beautiful. Looking forward to see the progress on them. So on to the next episode...from Quebec, la belle province, thank you for your time and generosity. ❤
Nicole, I just love you. I went back k to this first episode and had it on while my husband was around before we were headed to dinner. He’s a gin and tonic drinker and you inspired him to try a gin martini, haha. Kind of fun my hubby got something from your video. Me, I’ve gotten so much more. Inspiration, great tips, and most of all so many chuckles. Thanks for putting out these videos. You are my favorite knitting podcast! I hope you finished all those WIPs because they were all great. Never had heard of thrummed mittens but they are so clever!
@@Knicoleknits He did. But when I asked him if he would get one again, he answered "I'm going to order another drink, and it's going to be a gin and tonic. So, that's his answer - not enough to switch from his favorite drink.
I just signed up for a virtual lesson with Patty Lyons. Thanks so much for the recommendation! I am going to get her book, and I have pre-ordered the companion workbook, as I am a novice knitter, and I think it will be soooo helpful!
I am back with another comment. I’m vacationing on PEI and I walk into a knitting store and they have a skein and roving and instructions about making a set of thrummed mittens. I had never heard about them before your video. I thought to myself, I think I heard about this from Nicole but then had to remember what video of yours it was in. But I REALLY wanted to thank you for introducing this to me and I splurged and bought it to give myself a knitting challenge. (Hopefully I won’t fail, I gave up on brioche when I challenged myself to learn that.) Anyhow, I’m in your country, and enjoying it and you’ve now been a part of my vacation!
Hi. Nicole. I certainly do know where Saanich is. I’m Canadian, eh? And I have met someone else from that area who taught me Saanich style knitting. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I like your style and have already watched some of your later vlogs and subscribed. 😊
Thank you so much! I drove through Thunder Bay twice last year 😊 Do you have a yarn store there? I've never had a chance to check when I'm in the area.
Hi, I think you should finish the Affinity Cardigan that you're working on. The reason I feel this way is because of the way you were raving about how great the project is. I really enjoyed your podcast due to your relaxed style of presenting the information. I am an absolute beginner at Knitting, and didn't feel overwhelmed by the information you presented. I was very happy when you mentioned The Knitting Loft in Toronto, since that's where I live. I will be paying them a visit sometime soon. Take care and good luck with your podcasts.
Great video! I vote for the Vogue sampler. The one that you're making from salvaged/frogged blue yarn. The details in this sweater are beautiful, the panel construction is interesting and of course, who doesn't like blue? Having cast my vote, I predict I will enjoy any wip you choose.
Bravo Nicole! You are an incredible and inspiring knitter. My vote is for the Affinity green cable sweater. Btw, this is the first podcast I've ever signed up for!
Hi, discovered your channel today. Live Vancouver Island. My late partner and I stayed with family in Nanaimo abd then in Cassidy. I live in Scotland so its not likely that I will be back over but I have wonderful memories. And there was a brilliant yarn store in Nanaimo.
@@Knicoleknits my wallet took a beating there both holidays. I came home with a Namaste Monro knitting bag the first time with plenty of yarn to go in it and a set of interchangeable needles the second time.
You are absolutely right! I failed to include the martini recipe in the first few episodes. I started adding it in as of Episode 4. Here it so you don't have to search for it: Knicole's famous martini recipe: 2.5 oz Tanqueray Rangpur Lime gin 0.5 oz Cinzano or Noilly Pratt white vermouth (Don't use cheap stuff!) Italian almond-stuffed olives Shake gin and vermouth vigorously with ice, pour over olives into an ice cold martini glass (we keep ours in the freezer) Enjoy and cheers!
I enjoyed your first episode immensely. My vote is for the thrummed mitten first as that will be a quick knit and then the Affinity sweater.
Thanks, Maureen! You’re not only one to make that exact same suggestion. You must be on to something lol

Green cardigan , then the second glove 🎉
I am a new knitter but I have crocheted since I was nine. I have now knit one pair of socks in a DK wt and a tank top

I’m so glad you’re here! I was in Quebec last June. We were lucky enough to be in Quebec City for St. Jean Baptiste Day. It is très belle, indeed 🥰
I enjoyed this podcast very much. Thank you😊
Can’t do it but love to look at!

Thought the Leerdam cowl was gorgous. Just looked on Ravelry and think you colourway looks better 👏
Thank you! It's definitely "my" colorway - you'll notice that I use it A LOT 😂
Nicole, do you have a Ravelry presence? We could be following your progress on your wish there too😊
I sure do! I'm Knicoleknits on Rav as well. :D
