- I tried to do that with no premium ammo and no reboots, and tried very hard, but that's clearly impossible, so at first i decided to leave that crazy idea, but the day after, i thought, that i should finish what i started, at least with premium and reboots, so here you go. This fight obviously gets a crown of the hardest fight i've done in Elite.

I have so much love for the anaconda, is a good realiable and more than capable ship, some people say the krait mkII is the best for xeno hunting but the conda is just something unique, it has provided me with victory in the most harsh situations a combat pilot can endure

In your opinion what is the best and safe big ship for Medusas? You're a pro, that's why it's the best decision to make this question just right here and today you made me happy with this great kill and you still great like always !!! Good CMDR! Fly safe! (Although technically you are invincible, the most lethal thing in the galaxy is easy for you HA! )

If we are talking about the safest big ship, that would be Cutter. Monster shields and speed, that allows him to run away from Medusa even without a fighter. But horrible maneuverability and kiting tactic makes this ship pretty boring IMO.
Maybe if you have enough money and never killed Medusa before, it could be a good choice to get used to the fight, gain some confidence, but after that i would suggest switching to another ship.
And that would be Federal Corvette of course ;) It has much better shields than Anaconda, better speed and maneuverability.

A bit late comment but DAMN I love your style =) Same as the Corvette kill, just TANK it and FIGHT it like a man :-) Who cares about reboots when fighting like this =)

Eh, ofc, i used plasma just for challenge.
I prefer them too but pc's deal better damage have more ammo and are good for thargoid sheilds as well as sniping petals. Kind of a need for the bigger interceptors

Mmm... Are we talking about the same weapon ? Plasma Chargers deal more damage only to a Cyclops, against tougher variants damage drops like a brick due to low AP value, and we are not even talking about 1km faloff range and enormous distributor draw, which we consider to be bugged btw (charging PD draw is the same for all PC classes).
Thargoid shields is not a problem anymore since development of zero temp tricks and ramming. And sniping petals ? Are you comparing hitscan weapon with this for heart sniping ?
I mean, i like PC's general design, it's a fun weapon to use against a Basilisk for example, if you are experienced enough ofc. But overall it's utter shit compared to gauss, which is sad and hopefully someday will be fixed.

btw: your priority in this fight was mostly in sys pips and you have a lot of downtime concerning the wep-powerdistributorpower, maybe you might want to change your 8A-power distributor from weapon-focused to system-focused? don't know how this build runs against the other interceptor variants but maybe it's worth a thought :)
Sys pips are here just for absolute resist, no extra power needed, i mean, i have no modules that draw a lot of capacitor, like biweaves.
The most important is weapon, i know that most of the time in this fight it's not fully used, but when i need to shoot nonstop, even wep-focused is barely enough (3:54-4:15). Also, it differs from fight to fight, if you miss more - it's not enough at all, and you have to switch one pip from sys, which is bad.
C3 Plasma Chargers draw a huge amount of capacitor power.
This is really impressive. Just sayin'
