Love their towels and their stickers and their website automatically gave me NZ$ prices but unfortunately like everywhere these days the shipping costs make it unaffordable
My mom used to collect tea towels from everywhere around the world. Customers from the shop would bring them from all over. When. She passed my dad gave t towels to her friends. I still have hundreds. I periodically wash some and add to my drawer. I love them.
Chelsea here's a suggestion for your tea towels, why don't you print some type of a real easy recipe with pictures of different vegetables or produce around the recipe on a tea towel that would be cool
Chelsea a coffee grinder is what I’ve used to make my tomato powder fine and very powdery and there are no seeds present. I found a coffee grinder was the only thing that worked for me. Although I don’t use the coffee grinder for coffee I just use it for spices. Ketchup chips are definitely CANADIAN! 😂❤🥰❤️🇨🇦🍁🙏🏻
Hi Chelsea, when using cardamom pods, try to give them a smash to open the shell, so the seeds inside can release their flavor. I make this kind of teas a lot in winter, but always with whole spices, much easier to drain and I prefer the taste a well. Congratulations on the tea towels, I'm sure they will come out just beautiful! Much love from Portugal ❤
I told you this about a year ago, but it bears repeating. I've been out sick with a cold for three days now, and you're still the best TH-camr to lay on the sofa and watch when one is feeling cruddy. So comforting - like being at home curled up on the sofa with mom puttering in the kitchen nearby. Much love to you!
livestock is so great for the bits and bobs we don't use for our family. We try to save what we can, but if things get missed or we can't save it all, it feels good to know it goes to growing meat birds or pigs or laying hens. And whatever else goes to offset costs for feeding the dog and cats. It's not really wasted if it's saving money in other areas 🤗 Also... It's tiny and maybe slow going but I always use a coffee/spice grinder to powder things. It's so handy! I just grind what I need for a jar at a time.
Oh my gosh your hair has gotten so long! I love it!! Your gardening and canning content has been so helpful and inspiring to me. I turned my front yard into a raised bed garden this year and had so much success! I’m blessed to have a very long growing season here in CA which is very forgiving for beginners. I am so excited to expand into my backyard next year. The food I have grown tastes so much better than what I can buy in the store, even here!! Thank you 😊
Consider using your loose pepper jelly as a syrup. We make corncakes, actually just pancakes with added mexican corn and mild green chilies. Thinned pepper jelly goes great on them as a "breakfast for dinner" or really any time. It's a fun, different alterative. Haven't done it, but same type waffles would be great, too!
I just picked my last Jalepeno peppers yesterday and put 7 of them into the root cellar to overwinter them. After watching this, I am going to make Jalepeno jelly… I might have to borrow a blender of food processor from someone since I don’t have one and for jelly I want to have this very smooth and strained. Yes, I could hand mix it all to that point and I might just have to do that, after all our ancestors made it this way.
Great video as usual. Lovely seeing you do some different kinds of preserving. Have you considered saving the spices from the tea and dehydrating/freeze drying them again and powdering them up to use as flavouring in something else e.g cakes, bread, etc. Would be a way of getting two uses out of them.
Hi , just watched your video on powdering tomato , and peppers , and just wanted to tell you that I put plastic wrap between my vita mix lid and pitcher and it keeps all the powder in the canister, and not in the lid …. Works AWSOME, hope this helps! Watch every video…. Love you , and your channel ❤
I loved watching you enjoy your Home Grown, Home Made Red Pepper Jelly, with crackers & cheese! 🤗 You're an amazing Woman, Chelsea, I appreciate & thoroughly enjoy your channel, thank you! -Love from Connecticut Stay healthy ,warm & blessed my Dear 🩷
Chelsea I had Red Pepper Jelly when I went home to England this summer. It was amazing. Your Jelly looks delicious.😋 Can’t wait to see what you come up with on the tea towels. Reading a comment I feel the same a lovely recipe would be great!
I HAVE to try that. Oooo it looks so delicious. My sister was given all mom’s old cookbooks when she passed and she passed in January. Her daughter gave me the cookbooks and my favourite.. it’s 2nd book Five Roses and the other is Watkins. Diagrams on cuts of meat for beef, pork and deer. The section on canning - it tells you to set at back of fire to stay warm 🥰 and tells you to ladle it into jars, place cover on tightly and set away until sealed before storing. 😧 the year 1938 and no mention of waterbath canning. Talks about salting for preserving too. My mom was born in 1918 and she bought nothing from grocery stores until the last of us were married and it was just her and dad then she’d buy can soup, beans and peas but still did her tomatoes and jams. The set it at back of fire made me think of you and Martha. I’d give ANYTHING to have a wood cook stove. Honestly baked bread is THE BEST in a wood fired oven.
You just keep getting better and better! I literally said awwwww when you told us about the Gingiber collaboration. So happy for you and they are smart to include LMR.
Oh Wow!!!! So happy you talked about the difference of Pomona Pectin!!!! I was so frustrated and couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong!!! NOBODY that uses it on line has mentioned the difference in texture THANK YOU!!!!🥰
I love green onion/chive cream cheese on crackers with peach jalapeno jelly, cranberry jalapeno jelly, and pepper jelly! The cranberry jalapeno jelly is great to put out for Christmas celebrations! It takes a very little amount, to counter the cream cheese spread.
Hello Chelsea * you and the content you create on your channel is so gorgeously inspirational, positive and natural to me, that it makes me happy to hear that you were asked to create a little mountain ranch inspired tea towel series with your favourite brand * Y A Y * ... Looking forward to seeing them... and buying them . Bless you, your family and your beautiful ranch ❤
Oh my gosh Chelsea that tea sounds so amazing! I am a huge tea fan too. My friend owns a tea shop and I’ve come to love trying new teas. I recently made a mulled spice simple syrup that is wonderful in coffee and makes a lovely chai tea.
Glad you like the recipe! I use the whole spices in the Instant Pot and make 1 gallon at a time. And I'd never seen the panchpuran before but hoped it would go well with the other spices. It is a VERY warming tea blend and with no caffeine it's easy to drink in the evening
Thank You, this was lovely. I enjoyed your taste from the past! It encourages me to try to find my mothers sauce recipe. It was from a store brand sauce and paste, but i haven't tasted anything like it in eight, or so, years.
Jessica on Three Rivers Homestead, uses a Kale de-steamer to remove the leaves with ease. She also uses the stems in her stir fry. Just a thought. You can find the little gadget on line. I figure just something to help in the kitchen prep❤️
The purposeful pantry uses a dedicated long handled paint brush (like a round brush) to get all the goodness out of the food processor or blender. It might be helpful for you the next time you make those powders.
You’re such an inspiration to me, I tried my hand at gardening again this year. The squirrels, absolutely loved everything I grew. (We got a very small portion.) Canning has always fascinated me, I tried my hand for the first time thanks to all your canning videos, I made cowboy candy and jarred 8 half pints. All of them sealed! It was such a great feeling, next up is apple pie filling. Thank you for such a great community and all your hard work.
Chelsea, I LOVE your content, and your teaching. I am in the East Kootenays and my climate is close to yours and I appreciate your gardening content because of that!!
Thank you making these videos I’m going through the worst time of my life and when I see your videos pop up I know I have something to take me away from my life for a little while
I had a whole lot of garlic and jalapeños leftover after canning salsa in August so I turned that into 14 half pints of garlic jalapeño jelly. I shared a few jars with friends and served some up on a charcuterie board . It went over so well we only have 3 jars left on the pantry shelf.
I agree with the earlier comment about buying a coffee grinder for making spice powders. I have never used mine for coffee. I make my own spice mixes, especially biryani masalas. As you don’t like too much spicy heat, you can make your own to your taste…?
@14:00 Try a coffee grinder for an easy way to get a nice powdery consistency. They're usually adjustable so you can get it very fine. That's what I use and I'm happy with the result. I have one just for that purpose.
You always inspire me. Today I’m making 6 quarts of the navy bean and ham soup as per your recipe from the other day. I’ve never seen ketchup potato chips here in MN but I know I’ve dipped potatoes chips in ketchup when I was younger. ❤️
Ooh, yes! Ketchup chips! I’m Australian and that is definitely one of my favourite flavoured chips! Ours are marketed as Tomato Blast, and they are so good!
I started making tomato powder a couple years ago and I love it so much. It is beautiful. I keep it in half pint jars sealed with an oxygen absorber. Its best when doing smaller batches to get it super fine.
Oh Chelsea, please make a sweet onion jam to go with a nice goats cheese tart with those onions, then I can copy it. Also you need to do a collection of LMR Tea Towels, one for each season or pairs of each season as everyone needs more than one tea towel, you have so much scope with it 🧡
I can't wait to see the towels! I have been infusing canning scraps with different vinegars and they are so flavorful! Great for marinades and salad dressings.
you need to get a small paint brush to get all the powder off the lid and out of the blender jar learned this from darcy at the purposeful pantry works great she uses a fan brush
I’m so glad you mentioned the difference with Pamona Pectin. I thought I was doing something wrong. I don’t the results I get with and I’ve gone back to the regular brand but I do buy the low sugar one. I will try that little trick. Thanks so much. PS I love your videos!
I made pepper jelly put of the Pomona leaflet a couple days ago. I did have to open, add more peppers and reprocess the jars today because it wasn't spicy enough. Totally my fault I didn't taste the mixture to begin with before putting it in the jars. 🙄 I wound up using 4 cups of finely diced bell peppers and 2 cups of jalapeños from my garden for a double batch, and about a half a teasppon of crushed red pepper, which is more than what the recipe calls for. My jalapeños must have been super mild this year. If I've learned anything from this experience is: peppers vary a lot, so don't just blindly follow a recipe. 😂 I want to add, I used my Alligator chopper on the peppers, which yielded perfect 1/8" little squares (maybe 3-4 mm) that did not rise to the top and were impressively evenly distributed throughout.
Try adding about Cup of chopped cranberries to the red pepper jelly i use yellow or peppers with peaches or canned pineapple i also use half apple cider vinegar . really tasty .Red pepper flakes also give it a nice kick
Thanks for recommending the Gingiber tea towels I just love them too!! I bought 6 of them and of course I will buy yours when you create it!! Love your channel it makes me miss home ( British Columbia) Keep up the great work - I look forward to whatever you are up to next!! Hilda ❤
Great content again; thanks for sharing! I’ve only let my Egyptian Walking onions multiply & haven’t tasted them yet. Are they the same as the garden onions, for taste? Have a blessed week everyone 🤗🇨🇦🌻
please do snow scenes on your towels-of your ranch- also the open spices- just leave in the bags they come in and stuff them into a mason jar- the last a very long time
Chesea with the tomato powder I tried it this year for the first time i dehydrated the skins and seeds then ran it through the food processor and then used a coffee bean grinder to get it fine. Amy from MS My blender which I don't use often was not powerful enough.
I live on the Canadian boarder in NY state, I see katchup chips all the time. My house loves all dressed chips. I am making pepper jelly and corn relish today.
Love your videos. I also think you should not feel bad about giving food from your garden to your livestock. It is not waste if it is being consumed. Even if it goes to your compost. That is food for your garden eventually to feed your plants and worms!
Here in the Netherlands, we eat kale in "stamppot" essentially a mash of potatoes and kale, usually eaten with smoked sausage. This is regarded as most tasty when the kale has undergone a frosty night. I assume that freezing it would have the same effect.
I wanted to comment the same thing!❤🤍💙 But to be clear: we boil the kale well done before adding it to the mashed potatoes. Raw kale in mashed potatoes is horrible to eat. Some people put pieces of bacon to the "stamppot", and most of us eat a piece of smoked pork sausage with it. It's a typical Dutch dinner. High in calories, to get warm during the hard work on the fields in the old days.
In California, catsup chips were popular during baseball season. A mobile snack truck, Charles Chips, would stop by my office with his van full of goodies. I remember the first time that I tasted them, and I was hooked.
Funny you mentioned Ketchup Chips. I’m visiting Penticton and bought two bags today because I live in Washington and have never been able to find them. They are delicious.
It seems strange not 👀 canners, etc., on your stove! Years ago we followed The Chef & Farmer on PBS because the restaurant was near our former home..Kingston, NC. When visiting our daughter/her family in Fayetteville, NC, we detoured to Kingston & dined @ C & F; our meals were delicious! Our appetizer was fried Kale chips, which melted in your mouth! Sadly, the restaurant is now closed. I’m sure the area misses Ben & Vivian! (The Chef & Farmer is still on PBS’ reruns.)

Okay. I have to ask. What design is the tattoo on your arm? It has sparked my curiosity several times.

I use all of the kale stems for soup. I wash and cut them in 1/2 inch lengths and freeze them. Add in your veggie, chicken or beef soups.
Tomato powder is also great in homemade chili. It adds a rich flavor

It would be funny to have a tea towel design where the plants are growing canned jars instead of fruits.

I'm 51 and grew up in East Tn.. We loved ketchup chips with a fried bologna sandwich.
To get all the pepper dust out of the blender I use a small paintbrush to wipe down sides
Everyone in the building loves when the Ethiopian women are cooking, it smells wonderful.

The Gingiber collab!!! Fantastic!!!
Im excited about you partnering with Gingeber on the tea towels! I like your taste in design, so I’m sure they will be pretty!
I think adding in the flowers that your cows are named after would be nice for the tea towels.
Yes. Yessity-yes yes. For the tea towels.!!!!And the red pepper jelly too. With old cheddar especially.
I love watching your show. You are so talented and very good at gardening and canning!
Sometimes I smoke the tomato powder too. The flavor is SO GOOD!
Great video! Red pepper jelly was my grandmother’s prized canning item.
The purposeful pantry uses a dedicated long handled paint brush (like a round brush) to get all the goodness out of the food processor or blender. It might be helpful for you the next time you make those powders.
My home daycare tried the ketchup chips in our yum yum box from Canada and we loved them.

Your channel Chelsea really brings me joy. 97° here in Scottsdale AZ. I'm loving the heat. Born & raised here, & I'm still here! 💐🙏🏻✝️📿😇💖
Ooh, yes! Ketchup chips! I’m Australian and that is definitely one of my favourite flavoured chips! Ours are marketed as Tomato Blast, and they are so good!
Really enjoyed this video. Please, can you give the Ethiopian Tea recipe; it sounds delicious. Thank you, take care.
Vivian, if you hit more under the title of the video you'll see the link for LMR news letter, sign up, the recipe should be there Friday 🙂
I'd love to try thar jelly on cream cheese I bet it's delicious. I just had cowboy candy for the first time and yum
I started making tomato powder a couple years ago and I love it so much. It is beautiful. I keep it in half pint jars sealed with an oxygen absorber. Its best when doing smaller batches to get it super fine.
Hi there from South Africa ... yes ... here we also get tomato sauce chips (ketchup as some know it) and we call crisps chips ... love your channel
Great pepper recipe Chelsea!!

Yes to Little Mountain Ranch tea towels!! Whoo Hoooo
One of my granddaughter’s teacher brought some to class. She loved them! We don’t have them in Texas but you can order them online.
Try adding about Cup of chopped cranberries to the red pepper jelly i use yellow or peppers with peaches or canned pineapple i also use half apple cider vinegar . really tasty .Red pepper flakes also give it a nice kick
Me too. Used it for a great baste on pork on the grill
I made hot banana red pepper jelly for thee first time. It is now my favorite jelly.
Thanks for recommending the Gingiber tea towels I just love them too!! I bought 6 of them and of course I will buy yours when you create it!! Love your channel it makes me miss home ( British Columbia) Keep up the great work - I look forward to whatever you are up to next!! Hilda ❤
Ketchup chips!!! That brings back so many memories from our 15 years in Canada!!
I had the pleasure of trying ketchup and tomato chips in Spain, very delicious.
Great content again; thanks for sharing! I’ve only let my Egyptian Walking onions multiply & haven’t tasted them yet. Are they the same as the garden onions, for taste? Have a blessed week everyone 🤗🇨🇦🌻
Wow what a great video!!
We chop the stems of the kale up and use them in soup or stir fry kind of like broccoli
I would love to see how you get those trays downstairs! I would be wearing kale..lol
Me, too!😵💫🙃🤣
I have lids. Wouldn't dare otherwise.
My good friend used to make us jalapeno jelly. And green tomato jelly it was always around the holiday's so it was always special for me.
Could you share your green tomato jelly recipe? Please!🙏
In the UK we have tomato ketchup flavored chips (we call them crisps) and they are popular. We have Worcestershire Sauce flavoured ones too. Yummy.
please do snow scenes on your towels-of your ranch- also the open spices- just leave in the bags they come in and stuff them into a mason jar- the last a very long time
NY resident here, we call them "all dressed" chips and they are amazing! First tried when we were in Vancouver.
I ordered some tea towels and thank you for the discount code. Could you film the cows soon!
Chesea with the tomato powder I tried it this year for the first time i dehydrated the skins and seeds then ran it through the food processor and then used a coffee bean grinder to get it fine. Amy from MS My blender which I don't use often was not powerful enough.
My mother made pepper jelly, too. We eat it on biscuits with sausage for breakfast.
I live on the Canadian boarder in NY state, I see katchup chips all the time. My house loves all dressed chips. I am making pepper jelly and corn relish today.
Grew up on ketchup chips. BC Canada 🇨🇦 love them!
Enjoyed the video 😊
We're also having ketchup flavoured chips here in germany - love them! ❤

Funny you mentioned Ketchup Chips. I’m visiting Penticton and bought two bags today because I live in Washington and have never been able to find them. They are delicious.
I have a dedicated smallish paint brush to get every little bit of my powders.
That's a great idea, I'll try that!
Can't wait!!!!!
The UK has ketchup chips! I'm sure other places do, too, but England is the place I first experienced them.
