I am watching this and listening, and praising on Tuesday Oct 31st, 2023. All glory and power and honour to our great God and Saviour - Jesus Christ - Amen!
Thank you for blessing us with these old classics! Takes me back to my childhood church. Such a blessing to hear everyone singing together. Heaven will be beyond what we can imagine! Follow Jesus only.
“Jesus tilted His head back, pulled up one last time to draw breath and cried, "Tetelestai!" It was a Greek expression most everyone present would have understood. It was an accounting term. Archaeologists have found papyrus tax receipts with "Tetelestai" written across them, meaning "paid in full." With Jesus' last breath on the cross, He declared the debt of sin cancelled, completely satisfied. Nothing else required. Not good deeds. Not generous donations. Not penance or confession or baptism or...or...nothing. The penalty for sin is death, and we were all born hopelessly in debt. Jesus paid our debt in full by giving His life so that we might live forever with Him.” ― Charles R. Swindoll
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame; and I love that old cross where the dearest and best for a world of lost sinners was slain. Refrain: So I'll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it some day for a crown. 2 O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world, has a wondrous attraction for me; for the dear Lamb of God left his glory above to bear it to dark Calvary. [Refrain] 3 In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, a wondrous beauty I see, for 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, to pardon and sanctify me. [Refrain] 4 To that old rugged cross I will ever be true, its shame and reproach gladly bear; then he'll call me some day to my home far away, where his glory forever I'll share. [Refrain]
Hi there, If you do not mind me sharing; the Sabbath, "..from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath." Lev 23:32 (KJV) or sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, was "sanctified" or "קָדַשׁ" which means to 'set apart for holy use' Gen 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it..." (KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan had sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV), will keep the 10 Commandments when the new heavens and a new earth are created including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per: Isa 66:22-23 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV). Heb 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (KJV); The word 'rest' is translated from the Greek word 'σαββατισμός' (Sabbatismos) - A Sabbath, Rest. The 7th day Sabbath still stands active today for all GOD'S people to observe. I highly encourage to do a study on this, if in disagreement, so as not to 'end up coming short in the end' (if above the age of accountability) as per: Heb 4:1 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (KJV). Exo 20:8 "Remember..." (KJV). Please have a look at this video (GOD'S Law vs Moses' law) th-cam.com/video/BULfeo9xjU4/w-d-xo.html Soon Fulfilled Prophecy : 1. Good for the song leader! He had the present of mind to: 1. Remind people that good worship in God's eyes is tied to INTENT. It is something especially hard to do when words and tune are very familiar. 2. He's allowed the congregation to sing acapella. People stopped hiding behind the piano, and Harmony shone fourth (It's not possible to sing harmony like this by yourself)! 3. During the acapella portion, he had the good sense to SLOW DOWN! (A lot of otherwise good hymn singing is sometimes killed because someone tries to lead it too fast, as if they are trying to get through it in a hurry. That creates difficulty, especially in a large congregation.)

Can you sing this without instruments?
Of course but why?
Thank you for posting all of these. Time to get away from the contemporary music.
