I have watched CC from being a Freshman in H.S. and she has always been smart in when she only does her 3's. She needs to run the team when on the floor and be aloud to choose her own shots. She's smart enough to know when to pass, shoot and when to hold back. Coach sides says she is looking for the team to spread the defense out, but that won't happen when you're always making the team feed the center. Make the opponents go out to guard CC's 3's. Also make them use 2 - 3 to guard one player. That alone will spread the opponents out!

The team had 25 turnovers Caitlin had 10 by herself Caitlin had a big part and then losing since she is the first pick and supposed to be the star but you can't win with 25 turnovers and that is not the coach how they respond will have something to do with the coach. I've watched Iowa many times this year and this is the first game Caitlin passed up three point shots when they were there. It will take time for the coach to best determine how CC’s talents fit with her teammates. When Troy Aikman signed with the Dallas Cowboys it was several years and a new coach later before the athletes coalesced into a winning team, and they endured through some losing seasons before they reached their peak. Venus Williams did not immediately become the #1 seed in women’s professional tennis. The Fever team is going to have to mature together and it’s will take some time, no matter who is coaching the team. Clark’s teammates can’t catch a cold. They have poor hands and fail to come to the ball when receiving a pass. The one back door cut by Samuelson there was no effort to go get it. Much of this is because most of the WNBA players are pretty one dimensional… dribbling a lot, shooting a lot because that’s what they’ve always done and except for bigs, it’s a new experience to score off a pass.
They tried having her on the ball, she struggled a bit with the doubles and turned it over. The took her off ball to make it easier for her to get open and handle the physicality

Coach Sides won’t last past the Olympics break! The WNBA can’t afford for Caitlin Clark not to have her Stephen Curry moments of shooting about 25 to 30 shots a game-and yes I’m talking about launching 3$-which is her money shot and what the fans wants to see out of Caitlin Clark this year! Nobody cares if the Fever has a winning record in Caitlin Clark’s rookie season. Anybody that has coached or played basketball on any meaningful level knows it take more than three practices for a team to learn each others strengths and weaknesses and where they like to receive the ball at or the floor. If I were the coach of the Indianapolis Fever I would run the Paul Westphal offense (just run and gun and try to out score the Fever’s opponents!) Then during the offseason the Fever can work on their defense- and offensive sets…But, for this year… can we please turn Caitlin Clark loose and let her run the same offense she ran at Iowa-that worked… Iowa made it to back-to-back NCAAW Championship games! Therefore, the style of basketball Caitlin Clark needs to play has been time tested and proven. And I know her teammates won’t have a problem playing the Paul Westphal style of offense because of Caitlin Clark’s passing ability they would be getting a lot of layups and wide open spot up jump shots and 3$! Enough said…Call Coach Bluder so that she can show the WNBA fans would CC can do in Paul Westphal’s Run and Gun offense! The WNBA can’t afford to mess this up because as Eminem said-in “Lose Yourself…Look (WNBA you [have] one shot or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, Would you capture it or just let it slip? Yo” (credit for the Eminem reference goes to “Behind the Line” podcaster.
So come on WNBA owners of the Indiana Fever get Caitlin Clark and the rest of your Indiana Fever the coach they need or else you will [lose your fan base and that of the WNBA’$] or to quote Eminem - “Lose Yourself!”
Last years #1 pick and rookie of the year was horrible. The whole team needs to get on the same page or else this season will be a disaster.
Indiana has a lot of good players. Give them some time. Maybe a bad coach, she has gotten first-round picks for a few years now, so it should start to look up.

I hope CC plays to her full potential. Her college stats indicate how talented she is. It is going to take time for CC to adjust to competing with and against equivalently talented athletes. It will take time for the coach to best determine how CC’s talents fit with her teammates.
When Troy Aikman signed with the Dallas Cowboys it was several years and a new coach later before the athletes coalesced into a winning team, and they endured through some losing seasons before they reached their peak.

Clark’s teammates can’t catch a cold. They have poor hands and fail to come to the ball when receiving a pass. The one back door cut by Samuelson there was no effort to go get it. Much of this is because most of the WNBA players are pretty one dimensional… dribbling a lot, shooting a lot because that’s what they’ve always done and except for bigs, it’s a new experience to score off a pass.
They tried having her on the ball, she struggled a bit with the doubles and turned it over. The took her off ball to make it easier for her to get open and handle the physicality
They keep doubling her and her teammates are just standing doing nothing, of course she'll turn it over. The coach didn't have plays to take care of these?
Just a pathetic management of an incredible player. The Fever had a month to make player changes and remake the offense to fit the player they drafted no 1 so they do t make themselves into a compleye joke. They failed! Im guessing if things dont change really soon CC will ask to be traded. I wouldnt blame her. This is no fun to eatch let alone play.
This coach has to realize that pressure is on everyone. The coach definitely needs to loosen up take a deep breath and let these players do what they do best!
The players job is to get the players to reach their full potential Caitlin was out there standing still and not moving it without the ball that is not the culture's fault she has already addressed this. the coach knows how important possessions are that's why she don't want her throwing up circus shots. caitlin was 4 of 11 from the three how much more do you want her to shoot. the coach didn't turn the ball over 10 times in caitlin's case or 15 times in the rest of the team's case.
Enough is enough! Sides has no clue what she is doing. Too many negatives to talk about here. Not enough room. Wrong player combinations and the wrong coach for the best offensive player in the game to thrive. Huge changes must be made IMMEDIATELY!

Of course she wants her to be better than Caitlin because Caitlin wasn't good enough in the past it's a coach's job to coach the players up not remain the same. This is why she could not win on the college level you ask anybody whoever play on any team would they rather have individual stats or Championships and they will tell you championships every time. Looks like Sides is playing the team like she did last year. Which is why they only got 13 wins. Indiana is not an agressive team. Which will hurt them all season. They need to run man to man defense instead of zone. Indiana needs to learn how to be a transition scoring team. When Caitlyn isn’t on the whole team looks lost and no one wants to step up when she is being double teamed. Overall the approach isn’t looking good. But Caitlyn seems to be doing ok what she can with what she is working with

I watched the first half before going to sleep and Clark looked like a different player and not in a good way. Clark had a winning game in Iowa but this coach isn't letting her be her and in afraid Clark will be ruined by this
