Renal End of Life Journey

Family members of people with kidney disease share their experiences of being with their loved ones during end of life care. This includes making tough decisions on whether to continue or stop dialysis treatments. Social workers are also interviewed, and discuss different factors that may affect a patient’s decision. They note that sometimes family members may not be ready for these tough decisions to be made, even if the patient is ready to forgo treatments and pass on.
In the second half of this video, family members share tips and advice on what to do during this difficult time.
