I’ve never been this bored by diablo content. I’ve waited in lines more exciting. Prediction for the next $40 expansion: you fight another dog and this time Baal is released.
Didn’t Akarat’s teachings lead to the Zakarum faith eventually? So, Mephisto is simply corrupting the Zakarum in another manner. Again. They’re just recycling the different story beats with minor differences
yeah, Mephisto possessed body of the Zakarum's leader/popes in D2, now he literally possessed the founder/saint/Jesus of the Zakarum faith. He sure has a fetish for religious people.
I never thought I'd see the day where spending money on a couple 6 packs of beer and food would bring me more value than a Diablo expansion would. For me, it all ended after Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. That was the end of the story for me.
This story reaks of a womens storytelling. Please bring back the men to write this. Women are awfull at writing. Neyrell is an awful character. Wheres diablo by the way? Lol
Naming is correct tbh because Mephisto found a vessel(Akarat's body) to roam sanctuary again but I feel like they could easily cut half of the quests with irrelevant knights, spirits, mercenaries and just finish the damn story with Mephisto. Now we just got half of Mephisto's story
Well i am glad i didn't pay for this half assed dlc, thx for the compilation This artstyle just doesn't vibe with me and it has non of the epicness of d3 cinematics
The story of the base game, not that it was the best (especially the final part) but it had spectacular moments, especially at the beginning, I would give it a 7.5/10. But this expansion... puff weak weak 5/10 in the story... they include travincal and such... but the approach is strange... it doesn't feel like a diablo.
5/10 for the expansion, you are generous. I'd give it 1.5 out of 10, there were some nice moments for me, how we got to Nahantu, how we were left to die in the river, the mercenaries backstories, Mephisto's plan to get Akarat because... they had a beef or something. I liked the soundtrack and the design of the game, but that's all. It pissed me off so much because it begin really great, it was dark, tense. But as the story progressed it degenerated into brain rot high fantasy, I got so bored because I felt like there was no threat. Urivar despite being a sadist, didn't do anything to make me feel threatened and scared, Mephisto was just not giving a fuck. The betray at the ending didn't really got me, I was like, "eh whatever." And Neyrelle has the luck of the fool, she got off scout free and there were no consequences, no scars, nothing. She left the stone and all was gone. I don't know what the hell was Akarat to be honest. They made him be so flower power and boring.
Prava is such a push over. Really didn't take much to dethrone her. Just disagree with her and you are now the boss man. She was on the front lines in hell for crying out loud, then fades away with her tail between her legs when someone talks over her. Plus the cigarette me laugh so hard. *how can we make this guy look even more evil? I know! let's give him a smoke.* top tier shit writing. Can't even remember his name, one dimensional bad guy with no clear motivation. Maybe it came out later in the story but I was skipping everything by then. Rant over.
I absolutely do not know that chicks name because I absolutely do not care. Activision is not GRRM, but they don't need to be. Seriously, they don't need Tyreal, Deckard Cane, or any of Blizzard's characters to craft a great story because...who's trying to make one of them?. So cheers, Activision! Thanks for coming in, murdering the only characters anybody liked, and then hunkering down to squeeze out whatever drivel this has been.
You gotta hand it to Blizzard on this one; I had no idea you could make such expensive and extensive filler before this. Glad I watched the cinematics instead of buying the thing.
I knew the story would be lesser, didnt expect to be downright pathetic. Idiots grafting teen girl drama into a lore they dont understand. the original D1,2 creators must be twisting, if they even still care
lol of course they didn't have the stones to actually do something like that to neyrelle outside of a stupid vision. carries a haphazardly-made soulstone intended for a far weaker demon containing a prime evil and comes out the other end completely unscathed... because friendship
Already boring story telling in the Base game, The expansion is even worse. They throw away the great story telling back in 2 and 3. such awful product. Will not buy this unfinished product
It's funny that for me, my fav character was the crusader Urivar. Also, he is made out to be a villain, but he is totally right. This expansion's lore irks me in the way that so much of the stories created these days - no consequences' for one's actions. The girl imprisoned a demon in a soulstone, and survived. But consequences (mephisto corrupting akarat's body) are defered (to the next DLC), and they might not even occur. Bad writting. Not even cool cinematics (as we are used to in a diablo expansion). Very meh overall
EXACTLY. Ueivar was right Inarius was a moron, Prava is a moron, they - the knights were morons for obeying Prava and Inarius, the heavens don't give a f*uck about humanity. Oh how it pissed me off that Neyrelle got scout free. And dude, what the fuck was even Akarat? When Urivar made his entrance and showed his power over the church I got scared, I felt threatened. But as the story progressed it degenerated into high fantasy and nothing made sense anymore. I lost track because I didn't feel threatened, I was plot armored and nothing could scare / hurt me. The story began dark and tense but degenerated into brain rot high fantasy where there are only heroes vs villains. Somehow it's even worse than d3's storyline.
Lets just appriciate all the gore and manipulative evil Diablo 4 shows us. Now we just need the nudity of the impaled rogues and Andariel and the corrupted sisters like diablo 2.
Thanks for this, I'm done with Blizzard games. They cinematics are still top notch but the games and stories are just terrible now. This looked like a long escort quest to fight a dog and then they drop a nice "Jesus Mephisto" at the end to hype a future $40.
Bruh they didn't even allow that Mary Sue to die, even when real Mephisto from D2-D3 would break her and posess in a day. Didn't buy it, never will. Diablo IV writing is completely awful.
Wasn't the cliffhanger of the vanilla D4 game that Mephisto was coming back? Then in the expansion that's literally all about Mephisto it ENDS on a cliffhanger where we're STILL waiting for him to come back? Diversity, equity and inclusion is more important to the losers at Blizzard than making a good game. The dialogue is cringe, the characters are weak and unlikable, the story is incredibly slow-paced and boring. I am SO GLAD I stopped buying Blizzard games many years ago. I only watch the youtube videos to confirm my prejudice towards the most greedy and least talented game developer company in the world.
I’ve never been this bored by diablo content. I’ve waited in lines more exciting.
Prediction for the next $40 expansion: you fight another dog and this time Baal is released.
Agreed, the story was so boring it made me not want to play the game. Waste of money.
Mah bois had to pay 40$ for a mephisto dlc where they don't get to fight mephisto 💀💀😂😂
Which is why, they should buy standard edition from now on in order for Activision to scheme us.
Para qué luchar contra Mephisto si este es demasiado grosso como para no rebajarse a nuestro nivel 😅.
Paid 40$ on games that you never own including base games. When steam got shutdown all games going down along with it.
Such a slap in the face, especially when Mephisto was literally an act 3 boss in D2.
WTF? It’s $40?
Didn’t Akarat’s teachings lead to the Zakarum faith eventually?
So, Mephisto is simply corrupting the Zakarum in another manner. Again.
They’re just recycling the different story beats with minor differences
You'd think the Zakarum would figure out a solution to the big three by now after all the abuse from D to D2.
I call it uncreative writing.

D4 felt more like a soft reboot of the franchise than anything. It’s a lot of wasted opportunity.
yeah, Mephisto possessed body of the Zakarum's leader/popes in D2, now he literally possessed the founder/saint/Jesus of the Zakarum faith. He sure has a fetish for religious people.
Thanks. This is much cheaper than $40
Thank you God for protecting my bank acc from this bs
Ya like, wtf? Best part is the last minute lol
@@stephenj2014 blizz getting worse n worse
How to disrespect your customers:
- Release $60 unfinished game.
- take 1 year of updates to “fix”
- Paid DLC
with no actual boss
Paid DLC with next to zero content that prevents people who bought the game from playing the game
I am overcome by hatred. No proximity to the stone needed.
its worse, it was 70$
Paid DLC - *conclusion of story not included
I never thought I'd see the day where spending money on a couple 6 packs of beer and food would bring me more value than a Diablo expansion would. For me, it all ended after Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. That was the end of the story for me.
amazing thank you now i dont have to sit through boring gameplay and pay heaps of cash just to see the cutscenes hahaha !
Thanks for taking this bullet for us, u saved me, end a lot of players 40 dollar.
eru's motivations dont make any sense, except to force the story to be prolonged for more expan$$$ion$$$
Awful story writing…wow
All this hype just to kill another fucking dog. Cerberus was last game.
1:01:31 well, there goes my favorite class, The Crusader, yeeting out the window. Time to go back to Diablo 3.
This story reaks of a womens storytelling. Please bring back the men to write this. Women are awfull at writing. Neyrell is an awful character. Wheres diablo by the way? Lol
Expansion is called vessel of hatered aka Mephisto but all you get to fight is a dog. Lovely! Glad i didnt waste money on it
Naming is correct tbh because Mephisto found a vessel(Akarat's body) to roam sanctuary again but I feel like they could easily cut half of the quests with irrelevant knights, spirits, mercenaries and just finish the damn story with Mephisto. Now we just got half of Mephisto's story
around 1:47 interesting that you cut out the gruesome part of the cutscene, did youtube not allow it?
1:02:40 holly cow.🐄Jesus just got resurrected 😱😱
Well i am glad i didn't pay for this half assed dlc, thx for the compilation

Graphical Glitch at 12:10 Guess they didnt care to make sure the game works properly anymore
Prava is such a push over. Really didn't take much to dethrone her. Just disagree with her and you are now the boss man. I hear nothing but bad things about Diablo these days, almost nothing positive at all

The disgusting thought of waiting another year for Paladin to come. Not worth it not anymore.
The whole Eru character is so weak, small in scope and eyerolling.. really expected more meat from a diablo game.
lol of course they didn't have the stones to actually do something like that to neyrelle outside of a stupid vision. carries a haphazardly-made soulstone intended for a far weaker demon containing a prime evil and comes out the other end completely unscathed... because friendship
There was not enough dialogue with Mephisto. That voice is just too arousing.
Sound like my uncle ngl
Why have you edited out some of the gory bits? What a shame
Thank God i learned my Lesson from purchasing D4 Base so i dont wasted Money on this BS 😂
Already boring story telling in the Base game, The expansion is even worse. They throw away the great story telling back in 2 and 3. such awful product. Will not buy this unfinished product
Confirmed that there will be a second expansion, just incase ya are wondering and want to kick some Hatred a$$! 👍
