I loved this game's campaign, and it was one of my favorite playthroughs EVER, and for one reason: I played the entire game as the robot, and my friend played the main character.
@@godalmighty207 1 and 2 were great 3 was ok. Then 4 was just more of the same. This looks more impressive but it still won't come close to the last of us 2 and God of war is better.

Gears 5 is definitely an improvement from Gears 4, there are a lot of elements I'd love to be added back from the older gears games for sure, but this is pretty good.
I remember when I finished gears of war Judgement and was sad that they weren’t gonna make anymore, I also literally cried when Dom killed himself in Gears Of War 3 by ramming into the gas station at 100mph to be with his wife as she died. Now Gears Of War 5 and it’s still the same game that I feel in love with because of the gameplay and graphics and story line

Also, with games looking better than ever with more story depth than the side scrolling games of back in the day, many games are no different than watching a great movie or show. One reason why the new consoles continue to sell out. There’s a massive demand for it and we now have gamers of all ages alike. I’m not far behind you. I’m 40 now so would have been 38 or 39 when this was posted. I think the Gen X and older millenial age range is one of the largest in gaming. We grew up on games and now we have the money to spend more on them.

@Shane Starrette I can see that being the case in some areas, but it seems like The Coalition is overall handling Gears better than 343 is with Halo. Putting Judgement aside (different developer), the series looks to be going in a good direction. As for Halo, their track record has people worried for Infinite.
@Shane Starrette Definitely, it's a painful thing to witness. Although, I'm glad Epic sold Gears. They had no plans for continuing the series because they were starting to focus on online multiplayer. So it was for the best that they let someone take it off their hands and keep it going. Otherwise, it would be collecting dust right now as people ask "will there be a Gears of War 4?" while Fortnite takes over. I'd hate that even more honestly.
