Being fine with the way you are is one thing, but denying reality and encouraging others to do the same for the sake of your precious feelings is not something that our society should be tolerating. 70% of Americans are overweight and 24% of American deaths are caused by obesity-related illnesses. This is a problem and the fat acceptance movement is only making it worse.

As someone that used to be 215 pounds I can say that being fat is not something to be proud of, I cut 40 pounds and feel much better about myself, and I have a much higher self esteem now

I once had to write an essay on why being obese was perfectly fine and how it is impossible for girls to be skinny and it was so difficult because I couldn’t think of any way to seriously validate the argument. I am a fat person myself and I use to blame it on my metabolism and stuff. Than I decided to do something about it and in the last 3 years I went from being over 330 to under 270 and I'm still losing weight because I decided to be healthier.

Honestly, i am kinda overweight and feel insecure about it. These ladies make me wanna exercise and not be like them.
You can be optimistic or pessimistic about your body. The optimistic view is instead of asking for acceptance, accept your flaws and improve on them. I'm a skinny guy so, when people call me skinny, which I recognize is true, it just encourages me to workout more to become muscular. Pessimists will just cry about it and call it oppression.
I have a very slow metabolism, but through exercise and diet, I lost about 85 pounds over time and am still working to lose weight. I have self-control and determination, meaning, losing weight isn't impossible, the women in this video need to figure that out.
