    One small detail that may go unnoticed:
    There is no "Conan" advertisement at the beginning or the end of the video like there usually is. This was about respecting and honoring Stan Lee. Class act move from Coco

      I think Stan got the thing he probably would’ve wanted most, and it’s that his characters outlived him. He wanted to make things that people cared about, that made a lasting impression on the world. Take a look anywhere today and you can see he succeeded. The whole obituary thing is really poetic. His creations have stood the test of time, and I’m sure they will continue to last far into the future. I think knowing that would make him happier than anything else.
      Rest In Peace Stan, thank you for your time with us. Excelsior!

    It hurts so much to me because i may not be the longest Comic fan, but i was a intense Comic fan.
    I only started *reading* Comics in 2010 (but i did watch Hero shows such as Spider-Man, Batman, Justice League and the other 90‘s - early 2000 hero shows on TV) because i first ever heard about and saw the hero Black Panther and i wanted to know more about him, but since BP was rather unpopular back in 2010 and you had a *HARD* time finding any info on him on the Internet. The best solution? Comics! From there i started not just watch the shows on TV, watch the movies and playing the games, i started to read comics and everything changed.
    His creation, the stories of the Heroes i read and overall made me to the man i am today and i am very greatful for that. I miss him very much and my biggest regret is that i never managed to meet him once because i live in Switzerland.
    R.I.P. Stan Lee, you will never be forgotten, but forever to be missed.

    I love his passion. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they're doing. Lot's of times people come on talk shows and they seem lifeless, like they're promoting a product that they don't truly believe in just for the sake of cash. But you can see Stan Lee get actually excited, and you can see the passion, and care he has for the art.

    I admire both of these men with the utmost respect. Stan is, and always will be, an absolute legend. He is the greatest modern story-teller, he has created a mythological legacy, as the great ones of history did before him.
    And i admire Conan because he’s quite possibly the most human of all the talk show hosts active today. He’s by far my favourite, he knows how to be comedic without needing to be repetitive or vulgar. He’s a genuine man, who’s worked all his life, and despite how he may act, he truly has a kind heart, both of them do.
    Stan will be missed by the world, and the impact he has left, and the legacy he has built, will stand for eternity.

    What I always admired about this man is how he always appears in every single marvel movie, all the way to the end. He didn't have to, even after he had cut ties with marvel, and he certainly didn't need the money. He only did it because of his love of comics and to amuse the fans. In every marvel movie I'm always expectantly waiting for him to appear and I'm always one of those people in the theatre who shout "it's Stan Lee!". For that I will always remember him and I know that the MCU, and the world for that matter, will not be the same without him.

    • @tapandabrai
      @tapandabrai 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Yeah, even DC fans hated JL. That's why I love Man of Steel. They attempted to make Superman relatable. They attempted to humanise him. MoS's Superman was a different take from the classic Superman we all know. Sadly, it got mixed reactions...

    • @SteveSegovia
      @SteveSegovia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah, Superman is totally that... but Supes is a great contrast to Batman and Lex Luthor. Humans who despite their lack of power choose to play in the same field as gods. A metaphor for human ambition to achieve great (even impossible) heights.
      Meanwhile Superman has all this power, but he is far from perfect. Supes just wants to be human and live a normal life. Dude never gets a break. He is always busy saving the world. Like the myth of Sisyphus pushing up that rock. It's his purpose.
      Superman is a savior to everyone but himself. He can't have his parents, and he can't just enjoy dinner with his family.
      Same with Dr. Manhattan, a man so powerful --yet he is trapped in the past, present, and future. He cannot escape. He know what has and what will happen. He is just experiencing it all at once. He seems in control, but isn't.

    • @TrinidadSuperman
      @TrinidadSuperman 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      flibbittygibbitt all the stuff you complained about are stupid. Superman from his early iterations was always him saving Lois. Damn near all the time. Lois WAS his biggest motive. Only later did he turn into this more Jesus like being. Then with zod he only killed him when he realized zod wasn’t going to stop and wasn’t going to change. And in BVS who got bombed that he couldn’t save? Zack did a good job it was WB that rushed all the projects in trying to compete with marvel. Superman’s arc was genuine and natural. JL was supposed to be a 2020 release that go bumped up to 2017. WB rushed it not zack

      @@Venomspb He is referring to box office performance. "Captain America: Civil War" and "Batman vs Superman" both came out in 2016. It was basically a showdown between Marvel's new posterboy vs the two biggest superheroes ever (besides Spider-Man). In the end, CW grossed way more than BvS, and it also received more critical acclaim. In that sense, Captain America delivered a severe beatdown to Batman (AND Superman), and proved that he is now on the same level when it comes to popularity. Thor as well, if we remember 2017, where he defeated the entire Justice League (again, referring to box office, Thor Ragnarok and Justice League came out that year).

    • @vinible723
      @vinible723 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Incog2k6 Wouldn't you say that is contributed by the fact that more people have an emotional investment in the Marvel movies versus DC movies? Since Iron Man 1 came out 10 years ago, Marvel has continued to tell their story, whereas DC only started in the middle of that run, with the main focus on Superman and Batman. It wasn't until Wonder Woman did interest start to pick up.
