Nice to see you today. Many sewists could take time to figure out the instructions, but you made the process sew-so easy for us! Thank you for taking time to help everyone today! Entices us to iron and feel happy doing it...
Thanks Angela, a really good tutorial. Shop bought covers never sit perfectly on my ironing board, custom made will be so much better, and likely cheaper!
Thanks Angela, since my ironing board needs a new cover and because it’s extra large I have hunted high and low for one without success, I will make one instead. Thanks for sourcing the flame retardant interfacing. Great job!
I'm not sure how I manage to ruin my ironing board covers so quickly! I've always purchased store-bought ones. I wanted to pick one up yesterday, but the least expensive cover in our local Joann store (I'm in the US) is $50! That is insane and I'm just not willing to pay so much for 'fabric' that I can't even wear! 😂SO your video is so timely! Thank you.
Thank you 🥰 I did buy this a long time ago. so I am not 100% sure what weight I got - I would say though to go thicker than thinner for a nicer feel ironing board cover - if that makes sense. I probably just bought around 1 meter / 1.5 meters. I have an annoying bit left over that doesn't fit anything 😂 Hope that helps - sorry I can not be more specific xx
Hi Angela. I'm a big fan of yours love your videos, I'm quite new to sewing and I have learnt the hard way by cutting into the original pattern, could you please advise me on what's the best tracing paper to use, I'm thinking something that is easy to fold and store, hope you don't mind me asking. Val xx
That’s so kind of you - thank you so much. If you are after tracing paper that folds up nicely you can’t go wrong with the packs of Burda tracing paper : www.amazon.co.uk/Burda-Tracing-Tissue-Paper-Haberdashery/dp/B001F0W6PG/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=2BQSZLXTV9RVH&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.gqfh5NmdhkDWQQFdSnCCREx-Di728zuRvKNhDaw3nUTJ1GWnlsY5Oso32po_pfkawRwxvSEEnu2IcfRMVbT7B6WbAk2lI3svhwBKGuK1WClYIWToIgYvvtwqvQRFTCYJsPxsFniiUyDSLYlrDB7t6lP-9yol_ZXXPlhWvcu1zbxcBuktZfva8JQa9qumVTeTAF8I3FZVvqTef8z2l_naXQ.ocg6U5BLxad2bcLu6sEixfYXBEz-ZTprnKqY1KVaPmY&dib_tag=se&keywords=burda+tracing+paper+for+dressmaking&qid=1718212209&sprefix=burda+tra%2Caps%2C228&sr=8-2 Goodness that’s a very long link!!! 😂 hope that helps xx
