Nice find! One of my favourite Lakewood box fans. This would be an early 70s model, maybe around 1973. I see that it has a two-piece motor mount, which was used shortly before the first gen plastic blade models came out. I’d swap the front grille with the back, just to hide the missing slat lol
Nice find, there’s one of these at the flea market but idk if it’s for sale and it’s in way worse condition. That’s funny, my K-223 was repainted too and it’s almost a gray. You can replace the broken grille slat by cutting and painting a popsicle stick to match.
@@coled5090 someday soon I have to take the grilles with broken slats from all my box fans and just glue popsicle sticks in them lol, or for this one I could just get away with switching the front and rear grilles like someone else mentioned
That's a early 70s Kmart p23..gonna guess around 71-73. Yours has a McMillan motor. Now what's odd is Kmart sold both the plastic and metal bladed Lakewoods side by side for years. I believe Kmart stopped selling P23s in the late 70s or early 80s.
