Felicitaciones. Saludos a todos desde el Perú.
Amusing to hear Maestro Pons's audible expressions at several points. Ordinarily, I'd find that annoying, but in this case I'm sympathetic. This score is so powerful that it elicits such spontaneous outbursts. I saw Elektra performed in Seattle several years ago and, at the final "BUH-BUH!!!", I was sobbing and shaking at the sheer power of the music.
Everyone, musicians and critics alike complain about the apparently awful acoustics of the Palacio de la Ópera and about the musicians not being able to hear one another when playing. Nothing of that shows in this and other recordings posted here. The sound engineers must be real wizards to yield these results. Congrats to everybody.
Beautiful sound from the orchestra. With the tempo this slow, I was able to savor Strauss's inventive sonorities, but it came at the expense of diminishing the fire and snap of the score.
¡Absolutamente sorprendente! ¡Qué poder, qué limpieza y qué inspiración!

La Sinfónica de Galicia tiene un sonido MARAVILLOSO, suena suntuosa, majestuoso. Gracias.
Espectacular pieza e interpretación, Strauss brutal y salvaje como siempre. Un saludo desde Colombia.

That sounds great. I have had emotions with die frau
Espetacular interpretação. Parabéns 👏👏👏.
Saludos cordiales
An interesting arrangement by Honeck and Ille, very well performed. I think Strauss would have approved.

Amazing sound and clarity from the orchestra. But I am happy no one has to sustain their singing to these slow tempi!
05- magnifico

I saw Honeck conduct this and I prefer that version
Buenos días
Sounds Great Jon👍
Why the arranger reduced trombones and omitted Wagner's tubas?? The sound is Strauss-like only.

Where the hell is the main theme?
