Its very simple. 1) Aemond sees Silverwing in Kings Landing, chases it. (perhaps to see at least who the rider was and where it came from) 2) Silverwing retreats back to dragonstone (perhaps to lure vhagar, who knows doesnt matter) 3) Aemond sees the other dragons (which you can see in the immediate next screen where Rhaenyra was standing with Vermithor also on the side - yes i assume it implied that Aemond saw them in the island sitting waiting for him) 4) Aemond realizes that and retreats

Everyone in the north thought Jon Snow was a bastard, but they still made him king because they liked and respected him. However, I see this as a poor excuse to build hype for Team Black. Why would Rhaenyra risk a potential dragon to get shot out of the sky by scorpions?! I get that if this planned worked, they would have taken out Team Green's biggest chance to win the throne.
its called a gamble, if it worked(which it almost did) the war would have been over right there and then but if she lost she still has 3 grown up dragons left(Syrax, Vermitor and Seasmoke) not to mention Caraxes and her son dragon and moondancer who are both adolescants so it would have been a very acceptable loss.

Regardless of who it is, he knows he's lost his advantage, and the Blacks are up one.

However, chasing it to enemy territory would be a massive risk, as he knows the Blacks have at least three more dragons in the vicinity: Syrax, Vermax, and Moondancer (Not knowing that Vermithor was claimed or Silverwing). Vhagar may be the biggest of the dragons in House of the Dragon, but Aemond knows that they're not invulnerable, and this isn't a fight he should take. Essentially, the Blacks sent out a warning shot to let Aemond know what was coming.
Ya I got that at the end but it was poorly directed, we cut to a dragon in Kingslanding, cut to aemond getting on his dragon, then we cut to aemond right infront of dragon stone. It would have made ALOT more sense if the plan was told to us, or we actually see the part where aemond is chasing the dragon, that way we'd not be questioning the loyalty of the guy who just rode his dragon to Kingslanding

The two aren't that close to each other... and even with a dragon, it should take a while to get to and from there. A chasing scene would have made more sense.

No, Daemon and Caraxes are in the Riverlands. there're only 6 there, and of the 6 only 4 are grown enough to fight a dragon the size of Vhagar.

loud new guy was making sense at the end. aemond was chasing silverwing but knew that if he got too close to dragonstone, he would face more dragons (beala's, jace's and rhaenyra's), so basically a 4v1. he didn't know about vermithor and seasmoke so it actually would have been a 6v1.

Vermithor is possibly the second oldest dragon after Vhagar. He was the “cradle dragon” of the famous King Jaeharys - Rhaenrya’s great grandfather (and Hugh’s grandfather. Hugh’s tale about his mother pinpoints her to be Seara Targaryen, who was one of Jahearys’s daughters). Cradle dragons are dragons who were placed in the cradle next to a prince or princess and hatched, bonding with them since they were babies.
Silverwing is the cradle dragon of Jahearys’s wife, Queen Alysanne. She has a reputation of being the friendliest towards humans in general and is considered to be more docile. Vermithor and Silverwing are also mates. I’m gonna guess Rhaenryas dragon Syrax is one of the many dragons from that “Union.” Shes got the same facial features as Silverwing.

Vhagar may be the biggest of the dragons in House of the Dragon, but Aemond knows that they're not invulnerable, and this isn't a fight he should take. Essentially, the Blacks sent out a warning shot to let Aemond know what was coming.
Ya I got that at the end but it was poorly directed, we cut to a dragon in Kingslanding, cut to aemond getting on his dragon, then we cut to aemond right infront of dragon stone. It would have made ALOT more sense if the plan was told to us, or we actually see the part where aemond is chasing the dragon, that way we'd not be questioning the loyalty of the guy who just rode his dragon to Kingslanding

Another thing, the whole cutting scenes between Kings Landing and Dragonstone is annoying. The two aren't that close to each other... and even with a dragon, it should take a while to get to and from there. A chasing scene would have made more sense.

Why is everyone who reacts to this not realising there are 5 dragons on dragonstone that have riders plus the possibility of cannibal and grey ghost. Also idk who came up with the idea that vhagar can 2v1 if vermithor is there cause vermithor is a equal match for vhagar. The best outcome would be daeron's dragon and seasmoke vs Vermax , Seasmoke , Rhaenyra's dragon and Silverwing ( 2 greens vs 4 blacks with all similar sized dragons).This means that the final battle can be left to Vermithor and Caraxes vs Vhagar which no matter how much vhagar fans glaze , Vhagar would be lucky to kill one dragon winning is out of the auestion for vhagar
