It's amazing that people bought a gun that was adopted because of bribery and corruption, and not from merits. The m17 adoption process made me lose faith in our military, not because they chose a SIG, but because they didn't demand a better gun from SIG.
@@otterconnor942 This right here! What has come out in last few years of lawsuits has revealed Sig USA to be an absolute trash tier company...and the 320 is a trash tier gun.
So, my understanding is that SIG Sauer made some changes to the P320 and made it much improved. I actually bought their new(ish) 10mm offering in the P320, and I absolutely love it. The trigger is fantastic. Four hundred rounds without so much as a hiccup. Accurate and powerful, and no, I don't work for SIG. It's actually replaced my H&K .45 as my nightstand gun.
“Feel like you’re armed when you’re not,” is a great quote. I’ve seen people show up to concealed carry classes with things like Stirling .25s, Colt .25 heirlooms that didn’t work work, and a Ruger Wrangler that wanted to shoot in the air. All of the S&W Bodyguard .38s (the poly versions) that shooters have shown up with never failed to stop their owners from achieving passing accuracy. But I certainly hope I won’t see any of these contraptions in students’ hands.

Buddy of mine had a lorcin, the slide sheared completely in two right behind the front sight while he was shooting it. Luckily for him the slide went just to the side of his head instead of straight back into his face when it broke. No idea how he managed to get so lucky.
Had 2 Lorcins. Bought both at the same time brand new at a pawn shop. A .380 and a .25. The fixed barrel made it difficult to disassemble for cleaning. Worked Okay until I let a friend borrow it. After he brought it back from the range it would not hit a milk jug from 6 or 7 feet. I suspect he bent the barrel trying to clean it. That was the .380. Both were stolen.

The adult son of a good friend had a derringer 38 special in his shirt pocket. While working under his pickup the derringer slipped out of his shirt pocket and hit the garage floor. Both barrels went off and the slugs severed his carotid artery in his neck. His mother, a nurse, was just feet away from him and she managed to staunch the flow of blood. By the time he was airlifted by helicopter to the hospital, he was brain dead and didn't survive. He left four children and a pregnant wife. for the Rossi Brawler, I've seen people here in Minnesota put them on their ATVs for grouse hunting. A grouse will dart in front of their ATV, they can grab it and give chase. I also know someone though that uses a Taurus Judge, they had the rifling bored out of it so that it doesn't over spray the shot and they had a choke installed that narrows the shot pattern even more.

Another option for the revolver is the EAA Windicator .38 snub. It's not a high quality gun, but it's high enough quality to not be dogshit. The only complaints I have with it are that if the cylinder is positioned the right way when dropping spent casings, one will catch on the frame and not come out until the cylinder is rotated properly, and the front sight is black, just like the rear sight. Theyre irritating issues, but overall, for the price of the Windicator, are worth tolerating. Some reviews dont like the hammer because of the angle and texture of where you thumb it into single action, but I think that complaint is for those with soft, supple thumb pads. Another complaint other folks have is that the muzzle is kind of just cut off at the edge, and wasn't sanded down before being shipped out, but it doesn't really affect anything. The benefits are, especially if you wanna drop a bit more cash into it, you can get it in .357. The double action is workable, and the single action is super light and crisp. The 2 inch snub is decent for concealed carry, and speedloaders for it are hella cheap. You can even make up for the snub barrel by using Hornady Critical Defense, though you have to use the standard .38's on the baseline .38 Special model, as there are .38+P Critical Defense floating around. It may be a cheaper revolver, but it's not worth it blowing one up by packing +P's.
I'd say this list is spot on. The vast majority of information on this channel is worth its weight in gold. I would have never looked at nor tried so hard to get my hands on a P-01 if it wasn't for this channel and ever since I've had my P-01, it's been one of the most accurate and reliable pistols I have ever owned and has replaced both my M&P 2.0 and my Taurus GX4 Carry as my EDC.
Jennings!! Dude, my neighbor gave me that to clean it for him. It’s was such a garbage gun. I told him he should never ever carry it. He’s was a 22LR and it wouldn’t operate. The things people will carry. Vet everything you carry people! Clean it. Use it. Train. Geez.
Bryco, Davis, Lorcin, Jennings, Phoenix Arms...I easily "collected" hundreds of these pot metal ring of fire guns from the streets of NYC back in the 90's and early 2000's. Save up a little money and get something that will function more than 33% of the time.
Growing up in the “hood” those Brycos, and the Davis arms 380’s where the $60-$100 throw away gun. I’m pretty sure they are still going for the same price they were in the 90’s lol. The fields and orchards we used to party in probably have dozens if not hundreds of those little 380’s, knives, brass knuckles, little weed pipes all over the place, lol every time a cop showed up you could hear a bunch of items getting thrown into the surrounding area.
I’ve carried my desert Eagle before, mostly on hikes and also just to see if I could pull it off, but I’ve found it to be most reliable for me in .44 magnum (which rarely jams for me, while it doesn’t seem quite as reliable for me with the .50 barrel and magazines for whatever reason. With the .357 barrel and bolt it works pretty reliably for me, but the magazines don’t drop free which is a little annoying)
I refuse to believe my North American Arms .22 Pocket Pistol is a bad CC gun. It's the most conceable pistol I've ever seen. I put it in my pocket once and couldn't find it again for like, 4 years.
@@FirstLast-ff7qx22mag in that small of a barrel is beyond anemic. if you need a small gun and cant conceal something like a 642 you should be questioning your outfit choices.

I've heard they are cheap and bad but I never got an answer for that. Are they unreliable? I don't understand why they are everywhere but I've never seen a single person shoot them. What makes it a critically bad firearm?
I have a sccy that I use as a cheap outside and boat gun. It’s a great running firearm that I have over 3800 rounds through with only one failure to feed and that was the fault of a bad magazine. It’s under $200, well made, hold 10 rounds, and has an outstanding warranty. The downside is it has an awful trigger. It’s about a 1 inch, 10 lb pull and it waits until it is all of the way forward to reset. The only good thing about the trigger is it is very consistent. Over all it’s a cheap reliable gun hated on by gun snobs everywhere because of a poor trigger.
I've had at least a dozen come across my bench with catastrophic failures, including 2 that blew themselves apart, all with very low round counts. Friends don't let friends carry sccy
I’ve got 3 Bond derringers but they’re for nostalgia only. If I’m carrying a derringer for SD I carry my Doubletap by Daniel Defense in 45acp. No safety, no hammer, two shots, very reliable. 👍🏻
There really needs to be an awards show for guntubers. With different categories like "most informative" or "best presentation style." Partly just because it would be funny to see all of them together wearing tuxedos
You can buy a canik MC9 or elite SC for 350-450 and you get a carry pistol that deadon accurate comes with an incredible warranty and you get the comparability of using every models magazine in both of them you can even use a SFX 20 round mag and there's a growing aftermarket for canik firearms and the original parts are cheap as hell. Hell you can even get an old j frame revolver for pretty much pennies these days as well.
The Bond Arms Derringer with a 4-6in barrel in .410 is a great snake gun if your walking your dog or hiking. Maybe if you chose 357mag it would be ok as a second backup boot gun.
Some consider the jennings the Saturday night special of the semi autos, i disagree because the "Saturday night specials" were actually reliabe as far as shooting them...
I laughed when he said for the same size and weight of this 100$ ranch gun, you can have a 4000$ dollar competition gun. I love this channel but his go to example guns are always guns I've never even seen in person lol.
That would be quite the amusing fight one guy with like a pistol brace of Brawlers and all the ammo totalling 4.5 grand and the guy with the stac and 1 mag also probably totalling 4.5 grand
I bought an Altor along with the Lifecard just because of how fun they are to bring out when you have friends over... They're so ridiculous that you kind of have to own them but I completely agree a 4 inch Spyderco is way better for seldom defense...
I spent 75 bucks in a Derringer stinger. The 4 barrel double shot. Never had any issues besides feeding the rounds in. Once dirty it's a bit of a pia. But thing will put holes in things that I was shocked by. My buddies 99 exploder went right thru radiator, hood and break booster before being nothing but frangable shards
Wow, I own every one of these, would never carry them. I love stupid guns that are fun, dumb, and cheap. You did forget the credit card 22's, would have been better choice than the derringer.
The Tunderstruck is not just inaccurate because of the sights, but the firing harmonics of both barrels firing at the same time seem to throw off the bullet alignment.
There as a time in my when all I could afford was Derringer in 22 mag. One night, it was a very good detent in my pocket. I didn't have to display it and my miscreants went the other way.
When the alto came out I thought it would be a decent gun for use on boats for when you catch a big halibut but there to much for that when you can get a single shot 410 for 80 bucks and use it tell it rust away then get another
I think bad is more relative but reliable is a different story. The bond arms are super reliable and most self defense shootings are 2-3 rounds anyway. Just saying…. I wouldn’t carry it for daily carry but it’s still better than a stick and maybe for backup
Can't argue with this list... Except I might substitute the Cobray double derringer for the Bond Arms derringer; All the faults of the Bond Arms weapon, but with added crude plate metal stampings and janky welding added.
Bro, they're selling the rossi brawler for around $220.00. If it was a c note, I'd buy it just for the range for plinking. Edit: i actually just this month paid $70.00 more and got a brand new Taurus 856 ultralite .38sp 6 shot blued. Lifetime warranty and half the cost of a Smith. I dont have kids nor shoot anywhere the amount u do so so what if it's not a korth. Just chuck it when I die. Lol
@lardomcfarty9866 oh...I AM a Smith guy. Have more of those than anything. I'm telling u there's nothing wrong w my new Taurus. Might even buy another. This model doesn't have the annoying onboard lock system. That's one thing I absolutely despise about some Smiths...the Hillary Hole. Hard pass.
I have a Cobra Delonta .380 5 round mag. It's made in Utah. With a life time warranty. That I used 1 time. It cost me $35 to ship it. I paid $100 for it. Now, I use it for a example of what NOT to buy. The only thing good about it, is it's name.
Some other good .380 options are the Beretta 80x, Sig EZ, and old surplus Beretta 80 guns. However, the 80x and EZ are a little overpriced and some of the old 80 models don't have a firing pin safety. If size and cost aren't concerns, I'd %100 recommend the 80x over the LCP.
I was scared to shoot the Jimenez/Jennings 380s my friend owned. They’re going to blow up at some point. Cheap shit Yeah, just save a few bucks, work a day of OT, sell some feet pics…whatever. Then go buy a real gun. There are used options around $250 that are fine for CC. Add a good holster and enough ammo to get proficient, you’ll come in around $500 and be able to defend yourself or others without endangering yourself or others.
The single positive about the Altor is the tactical advantage of everyone thinking you're drawing a hot glue gun on them

"Late at night, when I make all my bad decisions" LOL
When I was younger I carried a .38 caliber derringer but as a backup to my backup.
I know someone who purchased a Jennings .22 (before Bryco) back in the 1980's. When he took it to the range, it was fully automatic.
I am always impressed at your knowledge of firearms
Watching you reload the Altor gave me an insane amount of anxiety
The 1992 Camaro cigarette lighter 😂😂😂 that resonated with me
At 8:06: "You hit something."
"Did I???"
🤣
I'd say this list is spot on. The vast majority of information on this channel is worth its weight in gold. I would have never looked at nor tried so hard to get my hands on a P-01 if it wasn't for this channel and ever since I've had my P-01, it's been one of the most accurate and reliable pistols I have ever owned and has replaced both my M&P 2.0 and my Taurus GX4 Carry as my EDC.
CZ is excellence defined. Gotta love Czechnology 😅😊
I once had a Bryco .380 and one day realized I somehow lost it or it was stolen… I didn’t care & never thought about it until this video. 😅
Jennings!! Dude, my neighbor gave me that to clean it for him. It’s was such a garbage gun. I told him he should never ever carry it. He’s was a 22LR and it wouldn’t operate. The things people will carry. Vet everything you carry people! Clean it. Use it. Train. Geez.
My stepdad has a Taurus G2C, and I used to give him crap about it. I then realized that there are far worse options. 😂
The Altor glue gun.
Better wear a brace of them like Captain Jack Sparrow.
Bonus points for the 4in Spyderco call out. You have good taste.
I tried a Bryco.380 years ago when I first got into handguns and didn’t know any better. I got rid of it very quickly.
Bryco, Davis, Lorcin, Jennings, Phoenix Arms...I easily "collected" hundreds of these pot metal ring of fire guns from the streets of NYC back in the 90's and early 2000's. Save up a little money and get something that will function more than 33% of the time.
Bond arms derringer in 410 is pretty cool as a snake gun .
Agreed. It can go where other guns cant. I have a 22 mag with the 1.6 barrel or watever it is. Better than nothin. Mines been to a few weddings lol
Ah, but those are well made revolvers. I have the one with the clam shell grip, much easier to shoot than the tiny grip ones for sure.
@@FirstLast-ff7qx22mag in that small of a barrel is beyond anemic. if you need a small gun and cant conceal something like a 642 you should be questioning your outfit choices.
De-Nile. It’s not just a river anymore is it. 😂
@@acid6urns not true. Che k out some ballistics on it. For the size its deff acceptable. N i said i took it to weddings. Not much options on clothing. N 642s suck. Id rather carry a micro semi auto
I didn’t realize Jennings still made guns 😂 I picked up a Jennings 22cal. for $100 at a pawn shop just for the sake of have a Saturday night special in my collection 😂
you forgot the SCCY
Mine is reliable and consistent.
I've had at least a dozen come across my bench with catastrophic failures, including 2 that blew themselves apart, all with very low round counts.
Friends don't let friends carry sccy
@@dilianjaegers9209 "gun snobs" Worst aspect of the gun hobby, they are HORRIBLE people.
Loading the Altor is almost exactly like loading the 9mm tracers used in training AT4s.
I’ve got 3 Bond derringers but they’re for nostalgia only. If I’m carrying a derringer for SD I carry my Doubletap by Daniel Defense in 45acp. No safety, no hammer, two shots, very reliable. 👍🏻
Gettin out of my obligation to the Table with the Rossi Brawler
There really needs to be an awards show for guntubers. With different categories like "most informative" or "best presentation style." Partly just because it would be funny to see all of them together wearing tuxedos
There are. It is called the “Gundies”. No joke.
@@MatthewLocke-b5l And he wins them
Conceal carry is way down on my list of reasons to buy a handgun. I have maybe 20 and only use 2 for EDC. The rest are for fun.
Hell you can even get an old j frame revolver for pretty much pennies these days as well.
you should check out the Heritage Roscoe. Nice budget blued .38 made to look like a classic.
Isnt it owned by Taurus?
@@MatthewLocke-b5lmade by taurus too
@@MatthewLocke-b5l Yes!
The Bond Arms Derringer with a 4-6in barrel in .410 is a great snake gun if your walking your dog or hiking. Maybe if you chose 357mag it would be ok as a second backup boot gun.
These are the gun list videos my bank account likes. 😂
Not thinking of grabbing any of these.
I've done some dumb things, re: VP-70 and semi-auto Mac-11. But was never dumb enough to buy one of these five!
No - did not have the stock for the VP-70.
I once saw a guy on r/calguns put a desert eagle on his CCW in San Francisco as a joke. He said the sheriff was shaking his head as he signed it 😂
Solid callback to Hard Target. Childhood favorite of mine as well.
North American arms micro revolvers. Cool conversation piece, but i never was able to hit anything with them.
Takes pratice but they have their place
Thanks Chris I agree better be a good fighter if you carry the alto
Get TWO ROSSI Brawlers, but only for home use, on the nightstand. Safer for use in apartments with thin walls.
B&T has a new DI ar15 coming out March/April that you may be curious to check out. They are hoping to replace the H&K that a number of SOF are using.
Great video! I'm surprised my SCCY did not make the list. Everyone hates it,but it is making me a better shooter with my revolvers.
I had a Jennings 380. Jam-O-Matic
I carry a butterknife.
Might want to turn yourself in to the local constabulary forthwith, young sir.
@rob6850 Nay
You're Bri'ish. That's what we would expect.
I carry a plastic butter knife so that I can sneak through metal detectors.
I understand you can’t even buy a pointy kitchen knife over there; but thanks for providing us with a cautionary tale.
TLDW :
1. Beretta 9000s
2. Masterpiece Arms Defender
3. S&W Bodyguard 2.0
4. Anything striker fired from Beretta
5. Kahr PM40 w/357 Sig barrel
I am pretty sure that the Bond Arms Honey B is available in other calibers than .22 LR.
The Bond Arms Rowdy XL in 410/45 LC is a great backup gun.
"I would argue that you're probably more well armed with a knife or a sharpened stick than you are with a Jennings .380 auto" 😂
I would consider the Altor a manufactured zip gun.
Options 4 and 5 being a derringer and a 410 makes me look questioningly at my 410 derringer
Rossi Brawler is strictly for hunting based off T/C Encore, Contender
I have the 25 ACP Phoenix arms version of the Jennings. It is garbage. I took it away from my grandma and gave her a 38 special instead.
Lol
Yeah but it's nice to get nice things. At least get a Smith and Wesson.
Hard pass.
@dgunearthed7859 fair enough
Cheap shit
Yeah, just save a few bucks, work a day of OT, sell some feet pics…whatever. Then go buy a real gun. There are used options around $250 that are fine for CC. Add a good holster and enough ammo to get proficient, you’ll come in around $500 and be able to defend yourself or others without endangering yourself or others.
Every time you bring out that Altor it makes me think of it as being designed to be the NATO version of the FP-45 Liberator
