Hand line with 4 circle hooks on decent nylon twine, octopus tentacle for bait, slack tide, high or low obviously. Caught plenty well over 10 kg and around 20 kg. Watch their gill plates as they are razor sharp and will do the damage you will regret for many many years!
Tim, that was a really great episode, mate. That Stripey your mate caught was absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing this one mate it was absolutely awesome.
Good to see you done well with the stripey !!! pity i didn't see you there as i would have said G'day, we spent 3 days and went well with the crays and ok with stripey but only went half way down , Monday was a crackin day though
Great video mate, what sort of conditions do you need to go out there, (wind direction and speed, wether in the days before, etc). Would love to head in my little boat
That's about as good as Stripey fishing gets...not sure about the electrics though...seems like cheating...Pedra is epic but is also a mission....no easy feat..weather looked prime...Tasman Island next?
Pedra Blanca is one of the most remote fishing destinations in Tasmania. It’s know for it’s wild and dangerous conditions which makes it inaccessible. Isn’t that the definition of remote? Haha. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vid and colab boyz!! How goods Tassie indeed 👌 👌 👌. 🍻
I would have to say that this is your best episode yet.
Fantastic location Pedra.
Epic trip out there with ya mate. Cheers again, ready for the next one.
Amen hey…

Hey Wayne, thanks mate! She was one to remember that’s for sure. Have you ever fished it?
@@TascastFishing No, I haven’t mate.
What an epic day man. Way to bag out. Great episode.
Thanks Andrew! Can’t wait to find a minute to binge some of your recent content too.
Another awesome episode 👌
Thanks legend

Oh thanks mate. You only went half way to pedra? I imagine there’s some pretty great ground on the way out there?
Yeah a great bit of reef with big cray and some big stripey, last years best was 97cm and big gummies @@TascastFishing
That’s mad stripey well done ✅
Thanks matey!!
Keen for the video mate 🎉
Get out of here oat

Hey mate, the second day was a northerly on about a 12 second period. 1.8m, below 10KTS
massive stripey
Such a donkey hey!!
Your should do an $100 challenge
Cute dog
That the biggest stripey I’ve ever seen
See them over 15 kg, they get very deep from top to bottom in front dorsal fin.
What is the range of the boat full of fuel?
We used about 150 litres on day 1. About 100km.
I’d love to go out there but I’d probably never come back if I went in my little 4.5m tinny 😂😂
Hah, well you really have to pick your days. The first day I was a little on edge on the way out. We were going 10 kts but luckily it got better.
@@TascastFishing yes, I’d be nervous going out there in a big boat, let alone a small one!

You were a touch off! Good guess

Totally cheat fishing, but I’ve never actually had as much luck using the electrics. Something about the hook set is so important… even with circles!
Awesome video but kinda click bait! Tasmania isn't that remote compared to others but truly enjoyed!!
