These are all great suggestions! But TBH, they honestly (swear to god) don’t have a bad song in the batch. They are perfectionists, and don’t release a song unless it’s up to their extremely high standards!
Pentatonix has 10 years of recordings for you to choose from and they are all good. They are probably best known in the US for their six Christmas albums that are all among the top downloads during the holidays, with creative arrangements of holiday standards, pop songs and some originals like "Thank You" that you reacted to before. But they also have several albums and EPs with covers of pop songs from various decades and styles, from Stevie Wonder to Michael Jackson to K-pop. And they have two albums of original songs in a variety of current pop styles. Yep, all a cappella is their wheelhouse and they are brilliant at it. The mind blowing thing is they can actually perform their songs live and they sound as good or sometimes even better live 🤯🤯🤯
They performed their Evergreen tour at Christmas time around the U.S. I saw them live and the two songs I loved were "Joyful, Joyful" (very powerful) and "My Heart with You" (5-part harmony). If you put "evergreen live" in the search bar with the name of the song, you'll find them. If you like great beatboxing, Kevin does an awesome job in their cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody". They also have many original songs.

I love it when people discover the magic of Pentatonix for the first time. If you enjoy a good beatboxer, you are going to be blown away by Kevin. How he makes this group sound like an EDM band in their Daft Punk medley is epic. Props to everyone for their individual contributions to the sound effects in that video, but Kevin really carries it. For more of Kevin doing some excellent beatboxing with Pentatonix try Come Along, Happy Now, Daft Punk medley, or Bohemian Rhapsody. Note: in those last two, they still had their original bass, Avi (dark hair and beard) instead of Matt (guy in the white jacket in this video). Mitch (dark haired mullet guy with the high voice) and Kirstie often change their looks so much that new reactors often think they are different people, but no, they and Scott (tall blond guy) and Kevin (the beat boxer) have been in the group since they started by winning NBC’s The Sing Off competition show in 2011. If you want to see some of Kevin’s other amazing musical talents besides beatboxing, I suggest Pentatonix’s cover of Imagine (sings a tenor solo, plus does some freaky high falsetto), Over the River or Perfect (plays cello), or Pentatonix’s original Sing (raps a verse).

They have over 11 years of absolutely incredible songs both covers and originals.. (Note: the only member change was in 2017 from Avi Kaplan to Matt Sallee.. their bass.) The beatboxer is the one that was playing the cello in THANK YOU.. When you get to hear more and more of them, you should listen to it again to truly appreciate it even more.. that song came out at the end of 2020 and a tribute to friends and family that we all quarantined with then the rough year in general.

Pentatonix, Home Free and VoicePlay are considered the very best of these vocal bands. What sets Pentatonix apart from the other two is you are not quite sure they are really human. Both Home Free and VoicePlay as good as they are never give you the feeling that they come from somewhere else. Pentatonix does and sounds like they could be from some other planet or even galaxy because they can seemingly do things that human beings cannot do. How do 5 people sound like a 30 piece orchestra? How does a vocal band sound completely electronic without any electronics? I take it you’ve heard their Daft Punk medley/mashup which won them their 1st Grammy. They do things human beings simply cannot do and they do it, routinely. That’s why many of us Pentaholics are not quite certain if they are really human. They are, also, extremely attractive beings. That, also, makes us wonder if they are truly from here or possibly Extra-Terrestrial. I write this a little tongue-in-cheek but not totally. Lol
If you ha ent yet, you NEED to check out their versions of Hallelujah and Bohemian Rhapsody. Hallelujah to have a religious experience, and Bohemian Rhapsody to see Mitch at his best including turning himself into a guitar for the solo.

My suggestion, if you really wish to see what they are capable of doing, is Bohemian Rhapsody. Mitch, the guy with the high voice becomes an electric guitar, Kevin, the beatboxer, becomes an entire drum kit complete with cymbals, Avi, the original bass, becomes, at times, a bass guitar, and at other times a wind generator, Kirsten and Scott just go insane, and Mitch does a very, very, very credible homage to Freddie Mercury and his lead line. Oh, and that megaphone that you see in Mitch's hand when he is being a guitar is nothing more than a prop. He makes the same sound without it in the live version that he does in the studio version. The Prayer is another good one to display their versatility. They have three Grammy Awards. The first was for Daft Punk Medley, the second was for Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies, and the third was for Jolene featuring Dolly Parton. And for the record, if you want to see something interesting surrounding Dolly Parton, there is a group called Chapel Hart that is made up of two sisters and their cousin. They did an update of the song Jolene called You Can Have Him, Jolene. They are country pop, but they are energetic, and fun and they are very talented. Even if you aren't into country, I still recommend giving this one a listen, as they are not your standard country group. Just a few recommendations for you. Oh, Pentatonix does quite a bit of Christmas music as well.

Oh, and that megaphone that you see in Mitch's hand when he is being a guitar is nothing more than a prop. He makes the same sound without it in the live version that he does in the studio version. The Prayer is another good one to display their versatility. They have three Grammy Awards. The first was for Daft Punk Medley, the second was for Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies, and the third was for Jolene featuring Dolly Parton. And for the record, if you want to see something interesting surrounding Dolly Parton, there is a group called Chapel Hart that is made up of two sisters and their cousin. They did an update of the song Jolene called You Can Have Him, Jolene. They are country pop, but they are energetic, and fun and they are very talented. Even if you aren't into country, I still recommend giving this one a listen, as they are not your standard country group. Just a few recommendations for you. Oh, Pentatonix does quite a bit of Christmas music as well.
