  • Unplanned, this video is just a long improvised and chill discussion about art. How does one make art? What can be described as art? How stress and life affects your art and how do you get better? We haven`t found many answers, but maybe you would like to join in on the discussion.

Before the advent of photography, artists tried to record exact likenesses. They created lots of beautiful portraits, landscapes, still life etc. Now people have different expectations of art and realism is not as important as it was in the past, because photography has largely taken over this role.

What a lovely couple. ❤❤ I'm also impressed by their proficiency in English to be able to discuss philosophical concepts. Unfortunately, even though I try, I doubt if my German will ever get me to that level... I will have to content myself with everyday household German. Hopefully get proficient with that...

@@fionajane2665 thank you! Don't give up, language learning requires time. It's definitely possible to become fluent in German as well😄

This is such a hidden gem on TH-cam and definitely a nice refreshing conversation for me after being in the science field for a little while. For me, art is becoming more of a hobby in my life, and I've been missing these conversations lately

Thank you 👽 it's so hard to tell for me whether these videos hold much value, so comments like these are very comforting 🖤 I'm glad you are discovering art for yourself. Be careful, you might get irreversibly sucked in!

That was great guys! Finally get to hear his perspectives, which are very sound perspectives. On doing things on purpose or forcing, that's a bit of slippery slope. If you don't purposely try it, then you eliminated the chance that it might have worked. Or that possibility that it didn't work but led to a new discovery. If failed and you continue to force an idea or a concept you observed elsewhere, then it becomes sabotage.

Yeah, for sure you are right. To me it just seems that you will definitely experiment naturally no matter what, if you feel comfortable and generally confident enough, but that of course greatly depends on the person. It's also important not to get stuck on the idea of experimenting and always having to do "something new"
