jason to save ur childhood, gambit energizes cards because he can carry 52 vs x amount of bullets easier. they’re also smaller, stealthier, more aesthetic, and as gambit is a poker player, he always has some on him.
also you can carry 52 cards onto a plane, you can’t carry a loaded gun into a plane.

According to a specific Modern Rogue's episode released recently (relative to this video's published date), playing cards killed a man.
*took his own life
It's a small difference, but an important one.
It's not about the fact he took his own life, it's about the fact that someone actually did get killed by playing cards.
"Lost their life" implies it was taken, he was murdered. "He took his own life" clears up that he did it to himself, which really does make a huge difference. Or you could remove it completely and say "Playing cards killed a man".
Then "playing cards killed a man" it is.

To argue for gambits choice of weapon. Playing cards are inconspicuous, cheap, and easy to find every where. And when you are a known criminal with a record you would rather carry around something that wpmt bring up to many questions
Azbache also, gambit’s power is based on mass somewhat so, bigger things make bigger booms. With a card he could blow a door down, if not in pieces.
bullets can also kill people without the need for super powers. they aren't gonna be any more deader with an explodey bullet to the face versus a normal one. why do that when you're able to turn a playing card into something just as effective. also guns and bullets are heavy. for the same amount of weight, he could carry a LOT more cards than bullets, and they are WAY easier to carry and conceal in convenient places on your person. also, yeah, much more readily available anywhere you go.

Just so my brain doesn't explode, Gambit couldn't JUST energize playing cards...he can energize anything he wants. He just uses cards because he has a skill in card throwing.
He was also a poker player and always had cards on him but your right he can energize anything

Re: Gambit discussion. Carrying around magazines of bullets is weird and suspicious. Carrying around a deck of cards? Who could do anything with those? No suspicion.

Gambit probably carries decks for cards instead of magazines of bullets for the same reason a common foot soldier carries magazines of bullets instead of RPG rounds. If I have the choice between firing 52 cards with the speed and force of bullets or 6-12 rounds of ammunition with a bit more speed and force than a bullet, I will carry a few decks of cards so I never run out of ammo and fling nuts and bolts off the street or something if I need bullet like mass for something heavily armored.
I’m just wondering how much recording is extended because Jason loves making Brian laugh...

I would like to argue on the side of Jason because the average soldier carries like 270 bullets spread across a couple magazines as opposed to the amount of card you could carry in that same space cause in the amount of space a rifle magazine takes up you could fit like 3 - 4 decks of cards. But I love your guys content!!! Keep it up!! ❤️

for anyone who may be actually interested, Gambit's power lets him energize basically anything he touches, he just most often uses it with cards because it is easy to carry (a full package of 54, or as shown in scam school, even 55 cards can be kept in your pocket), and is much, much easier to explain why you're walking around with a deck of cards than with a gun. Also I'm pretty sure that he needs to touch the things he energizes, so he'll have to remove the magazine and touch a bullet each time he'll want to fire.

Gambits power is unstable if he touched the bullets and loded them in the gun the would just blow up in his hand also he has to directly touch the object to affect it he cant just be close to the object

Gambit could throw cards at Magneto more effectively than anyone could shoot him.
Magneto would stop the bullets.
Actualy.......most bullets are not made out of ferromagnetic metals (metals that are attracted by magnets). So if you shot magneto he would most likely die. But again, if magneto would pull the gun out of your hands then you wouldnt be able to shoot him in the first place.
Ferro magnetism isn't the only type of magnetism though. Magneto is master of magnetism, meaning he can manipulate all types of magnetic fields.

I don’t know whats better about these out takes. Are they the times when Brian and Jason just act dumb amongst themselves? Or subject their guests/friends to that dumbness? All I know is it’s great.

If you made guns shoot harder they would just punch through them. Make them all hollow points or make all the bullets turn into slugs
bullets would not be any better than playing cards if both exploded when you threw them. the explosion would be the same, and bullets are harder to throw. Also, more expensive.

Ok, Genji is definitely not the worst character in Overwatch at all. If you're really good with him, like way too many of my opponents are, they can be so excruciatingly painfully annoying and *WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY* too effective.
