I will never forget the iconic TD he ran for against USC. I was a young kid then, and all of us kids wanted to be Vince Young. Not a Texas fan at all, but this guy to this day is the most iconic Texas player I have ever seen. At least in my day. Much respect to a legend of the game!
He had two things going against him. 1. His attitude 2. His coach. He had great physical talent but he needed be in the film room 8 hours a day. Coach Fisher was the kind of coach who would take a player like Lawrence Taylor and move him to corner back or ask Tom Brady to run the ball more. Such a waste of talent. That all being said, he will be LOVED in Texas long after he is dead. Thank you VY !!
Fisher is from Buddy Ryan family tree. One the best eyes for defensive talent. He put that Rams team together. He put those Titans teams together. He's just not offensively innovative for this football era. I'd play for him, though. Helluva motivator. Really cares about his players . Except Vince
He was born 15 years too early. That style of QB still hadn’t really caught on in the NFL when he was around. Nowadays, he’s exactly what teams are looking for.
Well basically he saying that looking back he should’ve just got the money. Do your best and get the money. When you get caught up in the other aspects of things then you getting side tracked.
It’s a tough pill to swallow for everyone but the humility to admit that you’re just a player, just an employee, is important. There’s only 32 owners, not even Peyton Manning is one of them
How? So acting like a professional is being controlled? Kinda reminds me how some blk Americans put down other blk Americans for speaking well and making good grades...
Jeff Fischer was a USC guy that bought along a OC from USC.....Jeff was preparing to get Matt but that darn USC game got in the way.......Vince was better staying his Senior year and getting drafted by another team.
Even if your coach hates you? Eventually things are gonna come to a head. I like Jeff, and Vince was real talent. But around here in Nashville the sentiment, is that Jeff Fisher wanted Matt Leinart, but ownership were from Texas. So they wanted Vince. Best deep ball threat the Titans ever had.

That’s definitely true about Fisher. If it was up to him, Goff still wouldn’t be ready and would be out of the league by now.
Jeff Fisher a bum Steve McNair made look like a good coach but he wasn’t

It’s that franchise. They grew Warren moon away too early as well, and why Houston fans didn’t get in the way when bud wanted to move
He’s loved in Texas I hope he knows this
Scott the woz was right. This guy’s the GOAT!

Him and WVU’s Pat White were ahead of their time unfortunately.
@CarlosRen1776 white couldn't throw the ball.
One of the biggest disappointments especially after that performance against USC. He had Big potential
smh..they controlling him
No he saying that he should have let them control him
Lmao y’all some bums

Agreed, war is the worst bro, especially when your brand is so transient.
I agree
One of the dirtiest dudes to ever play but he is hilarious😂
Maybe work on those god damn throwing mechanics. Bro looked like uncle Rico out there 🤦♂️
Jeff fisher was ass
Dumb comment.
Maybe you give him that chance.
Titans never did, because our coach HATED V.Y.
